  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; font-family: georgia; font-size: 16px; text-align: justify;]The tom nodded firmly. He's been tramatized in battle many, many times. But he never knew there was a herb for shock! Standing, he nudged his girlfriend and looked back to Glitchmob. "So, shall we head off then?" he inquired.

  • Marigold. Catmint. Thyme.
Before she could say something, she found that the question had been already answered. Shrugged, it didn't matter to her. She wanted to help find the herbs.

  • Hyacinth didn't bother answering. Much like Mars, she was aware that Glitchmob knew of her knowledge regarding herbs. She'd only be collecting for the medicine den for moons now after all. She could probably find those three by scent alone at this point. Activity was what Glitchmob was looking for in her and Mars, not knowledge, and this was perfectly fine with Hyacinth. Her ability to speak aloud among so many cats was still quite stunted, despite the recent changes to her personality.

"It's okay," she whispered, padding over to walk next to Azurekit. It was probably a funny sight, quite an odd couple. Tiny kit and giant polar bear, side by side. "You know this, don't... don't be nervous." She was one to talk of course, but if there was anything having children had taught her, along with her recent experiences with Piranha, it was that being there for younger clanmates was important.

[font=comic sans ms][size=8][color=white]Lukepaw was walking in step, not really caring, "oh! I do I do!" He meowed after a few moments of contemplating. Thyme was used to calm down, marigold was like for infections or something and, catmint was like great! Umm... no wait the medicine cats probably didn't use the herb for that purpose, the male raised a pink paw... oopsie, still pink!

  • Surfpaw knew the answers. But he stayed silent. For he didn't want to give the answers to the gathered members. The apprentice just shifted his paws.

[fancypost bgcolor=#0f0f0f; borderwidth=0px; width: 470px; max-height:; text-align: justify]Maybe helping here would be one step closer in the direction he need to go? Well it sure couldn't hurt, the dog followed along with the others.

/was super late for this thread DAMN.

  • [sub]Westminsterkit looked up at Glitchmob. No wonder they were collecting these specific herbs- they were definitely important at the time. She nodded and stored all the info in her head. Shock, coughs, and infection. Got it. The femme sighed in response to the 'too many kits were witnessing things they shouldn't' part. Although she was quite young, Minnie knew that she was supposed to stay in camp. If she started out rough, it would be very hard for her later in life. She disciplined herself greatly, and her obedience was a trait that Westminsterkit was very proud of.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px][justify][sub]"What do they look like?" Eskimopaw had to ask Glitchmob, about the herbs of course. If they happened to pass some herbs, she did not want to miss them. That would be awfully awkward.

He decided then, rather quickly, that he liked Hyacinthpaw. He knew the other only in passing with brief conversations and meetings and he generally avoided animals much larger than himself due to his own fears. But the polar bear seemed nice, and it was a welcome relief to find another friendly face in the crowd of gathered cats and other animals.
Azurekit nodded numbly to the slight words of encouragement and opted to slink closer until he all but stood under the hulking form of the white ursine. At least here he felt a bit more secure.
Nothing said 'safe' quite like a wall of pure bear.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; font-family: georgia; font-size: 16px; text-align: justify;]Curious on how the Medicine Cat would answer, he looked at Glitchmob curiously. "Do they have a particular scent?" he asked.

  • [sub]Once Westminsterkit hear Aztecruin's question, she began to wonder the same thing. She blinked and took a deep breath through her nose. The kitten could pick up a faint tangy scent, along with a nice smelling. Since all three of the plants Glitchmob was holding were close together, she noticed that the different smells were mingling and making it harder to differentiate between them. She opened her mouth to taste the air. Her Jacobson's organ made it easier to scent the herbs that the medic was holding. "One of them smells very tangy- I'm not sure which, but I think its thyme?" Her nose wasn't strong enough yet, but she did get some clues.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px solid transparent; width: 400px; font-size: 15px; font-family: georgia][justify]And, even though she was probably very late, Thousandlies was there, jogging after the group.
(she is interested in herbs, but she's a tad old uvu.)

  • [align=center][fancypost borderwidth=0pt; font-size: 9px; text-align: justify; width: 350px;]( faithfulkit is interested o3o )

Faith was also late and she trotted up as fast as her legs would take her. The tortie stopped and looked around, scenting the air. She could scent something very...Strong. In a tangy way. She couldn't see it so she would have to depend on her nose. The small kitten took a seat and waited for the next question.

[align=center][fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 320px; text-align: justify; font-family: georgia; font-size: 9pt; margin-top: -12pt;]"Thyme has sorta sticky, small, and thick leaves. Marigold is a flower that looks like a ball of orange, we harvest it's leaves. And catmint is a purple flower -- it looks like lavender a little bit -- that has a very alluring scent, you'll know when you see it. It's like catnip, but showier."
At Aztec's question she flicked an ear, "Thyme has a sort of.. fresh tang. Marigold has a musky and pungent scent. Catmint smells.. kind of lemony, very earthy." The marlot stood up again. "Alright, let's go."
As she walked her mind raced to many places, but she'd have to focus on this herb gathering session, and nothing else. So what did she do? She forced calm and happiness on to herself with emotion manipulation.
"Up here is a field of assorted wildflowers, marigold should be in there." Glitchmob sat and turned to the crowd. "First one to come back with a bundle of marigold leaves wins. But be sure to leave some, we don't want to take them all."
    [/fancypost]

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px solid transparent; width: 400px; font-size: 15px; font-family: georgia][justify]Thousandlies blinked grey eyes and nodded. She dashed off to go and find some marigold. So, it looked like a massive ball of orange and smelled musky and gross? Should be pretty easy to find, right? Obviously not. The head spy frowned and panicked. God, she wasn't gonna do it.
(i will have her find it in the next post uvu.)

  • [sub]Westminsterkit nodded in understanding. Her tail curled in excitement. She stood up and shook out her pelt, then started walking toward the field. She was going this one alone. The femme perked up her ears and kept alert. There could be anything in that field. This was her first time out of camp, and she wouldn't disappoint her seniors. She definitely didn't want to cause any drama. She turned her head over her shoulder and glanced back at the marigold that Glitchmob held. "Yellow-orange flowers, ball-shaped." Minnie was muttering to herself. She tasted the air once more, hunting for the pungent scent Glitchmob had described. The wildflowers made it very hard to distinguish the smells. Dang. This was harder than Westminsterkit thought it would be.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px][justify][sub]Es gave Glitchmob a brief nod, remembering -- or at least trying to -- what the medicine cat said. The savannah female bounded off into the field, pushing her nose into the grass as she searched for some marigold. Finally seeing some, the female gripped a leaf between her teeth before yanking it off the plant with admittedly less delicacy than the plant probably needed, and it split midway instead of where it connected to the stem. "Oops," she murmured, dropping the torn leaf.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; border: 0px solid transparent; width: 400px; font-size: 15px; font-family: georgia][justify]Thousandlies studied the wildflower field, grey eyes shimmering. Come on, there has to be some marigold around here! The female lit up as she found a large orange plant. She dashed over and scooped it up in her jaws before racing off to Glitchmob. Obviously, the clumsy femme tripped over in her excitement and dropped the marigold. She swore loudly and started searching.

A few moments later, she found it and walked back to the medicine cat calmly. "I thinkths I found thsome marigold, mithss."

  • [fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=skyblue; border-style: dotted; width: 350px]
[font=comic sans ms][size=8][color=white]The pink pawed apprentice bounded off hyperly, looking for that happy golden stuff or other. This would totally be fun! The male's sharp golden eyes scanned for the herb that he was looking for, oh lookie there! A golden flower that was marigold, oh that was what it was called, not happy gold. With presicion, he turned his head to the side and bit off a few stems, ewww groooss! The male spat it out and then remembered he was supposed to take them back to Glitchyo... he came up with dumb nicknames for everyone, he was sounding more and more like Leo each day.

Picking up the distasteful stems in his mouth Lukeywooky bounced back, dropping them on the ground, there was a bit of grass mixed in, but for the most part it was just the goldy stuff. Wow, he had forgotten the name again. Dropping it in front of his pink paws the male grinned at Glitchmob.

  • [align=center][fancypost borderwidth=0pt; font-size: 9px; text-align: justify; width: 350px;]Faithfulkit frowned a little, she was blind, she would have to scent it out which would be much harder. Well if she wanted to be a medicine cat she would have to try twice as hard! The tortoiseshell raced off, scenting the air for the slightly tangy but still flowery scent of marigold.
