Maria smiled, loving the sounds of crickets. They always soothed her. Blinking her blue eyes, she continued humming the sweet melody.

There was knocking on the door, it was boarded up since Ludwig had done that to keep himself awake all night.

Maria froze at the sound, befire looking st the door. Figuring Zombies can't knock so she cracked the door open"Hallo?" She asked softly, opening the door wider.

It was Matthew covered in blood, along with Arthur who also was covered in blood and entrails. "Maria?" He said.

Maria squeaked in surpried gasped"Arzhur?! Mazzheu?! Iz zhat really jou?" She asked, eyes wide with shock. They were alright!

"Yeah, I found Arthur with some wounds. I fixed him up with the last I had and we set out to find you all." Matthew said, smiling. He was glad that they were able to find them.

Maria smiled happily"I vill hug bozh of jou afzer a shover." She promised happily, ecstatic they were alright.

"I actually was about to head back to the city to get some more stuff." Matthew stated, Arthur was being really quiet.

Maria tilted her head"Vhy? Zhis house is szocked vith enough food and vater to keep us alive for avhile" she explained, looking at Arthur"Are jou alrighz, Arzhur?" She asked, blue eyes clouded with worry.

"He's been like that for a while, and I just got some stuff to clear up before I join you and everyone else here. I mostly was just bringing Arthur back." Matthew explained to her.

Maria smiled and nodded"Alrighz. Ve'll be vaiting for jou, Mazzheu." She said sweetly, looking at Arthur" Here" shensaid softly, removing the organs from his heck and threw some other way" Lez's gez jou cleaned up, Ja?" She asked happily.

Arthur gave a nod, he had his arms crossed. He just had to be close to dying when Matthew had came. Matthew headed off back towards the city.

Maria took his hand and lead him up the stairs towards the bathroom"Zhe vater might be cold but iz vill clean jou off" she said sweetly, showing him the bathroom.

"I don't need to be babied, I have already been long enough." Arthur snapped, before pulling his hand away and heading into the bathroom.

Maria widened her eyes"Vhats gozzen into jou?" She asked, a hurt look in her eyes. She had never been snapped at by Arthur before, so of course it stung.

Arthur didn't answer, slamming the bathroom door behind him. He just wanted some time away from everyone.

Maria looked down before making her way back downstairs to where she was sitting before. She liked Arthur when he was happy and sweet, not grumpy and snappy.

The noise had woken up Lovino, who wasn't ever a happy camper when he was disturbed while sleeping. He got out of bed and headed downstairs to see if there were any other bathrooms.

Maria had fallen asleep while keeping watch. Her body was twisted around so her head was on the arm rest of the couch.
