    Star pawed the soft grass with her hoof, lifting up a lump of grass. Picking something up in her mouth she slipped it over the colts head, as it slid down his neck. A black piece of leather with a red firestone on it " How would you feel about me taking care of you?" she asked softly

    Ember blinked, surprised. The young foal nodded, a bit dazed. "That would be... Great." The chestnut colt whinnied, looking at the firestone in awe and surprise.

    Half rearing the mare squealed at the other mare. Laughing she said " Hey Star anything new?" Then landing she snorted and pawed the ground. looking behind her she didn't see shadow dweller. maybe he went to go check on the other horses? she thought then turned her attention back to the other mare.




    Looking at Jazz up and down again he sighed " Sure" then walked off without her. Stopping he looked at her and said " Well are you coming or not?" snorting he turned around and started trotting to where Seafoam was to see if he needed anything. Flipping his ears around he heard the mare trotting behind him.

    "He-he yah I'm sure a stallion will come along soon your a very pretty mare" The mare said throwing a long glance at the place that Shadow was. "So are you like Ember's Step-mom now?" The younger mare said while pawing slowly.

    Catching a whiff of a mare he stopped in his tracks. Hearing a horse try stop abruptly behind him only to crash into him. Turning his head around he glared at the mare, sighing he sniffed the air. Yup it was defiantly Riversong , He was the only one who called the mare Riversong not River. Snorting he continued on, Oblivious to the mare behind him scolding. Trotting into the opening where the Leader was nuzzling his mate. Sighing he thought that he should leave the stallion and the mare alone so he walked over to the water and stood in it. Closing his eyes he lifted his head to the sky and breathed in. He loved the feel of the wind running through his mane. Feeling a pair of eyes on him he smiled. Deciding to show off he turned on his haunches and took off at top speed only to stop a few steps later and turn on his haunches again, stopping before taking off he reared. Looking at the ocean he sighed, this time a happy sigh. Smiling he looked at Riversong playing with Star.

    Star tossed her head and reared playfully, nipping her gently. Before kicking her hooves up and galloping forward, showing her top speed of, turning on her haunches she galloped the other way and halted. Rearing up she neighed.

    Since everybody was showing off, She decided to go and rear and take off running, brushing everybody as she pasted them. Once the whole herd was running she took off racing against shadow. Not even looking at him she pasted him easily. At the head of the herd she gave it all she had. Soon she was running so fast she felt like she was flying. Feeling the wind in her mane she loved it. Stopping she let the others catch up. Seeing the herd come to a stop they started walking back to grass and fresh water.

    Star trotted back, tossing her head so her mane remained on one side of her neck. Lowering her head she grazed by herself, tail swishing.

    Looking around at all the horses she decided to take a nap. Laying down near her friend, she nuzzled the grass then rubbed her head in the grass , letting the sun lure her into sleep.

    Walking past Star and Riversong the black and white stallion snorts. He smells a mare in heat. Lifting his head he stares at Star for a while with her staring back. Snorting he flicked his mane and trotted a few feet away. Putting his head down for grass, he was interrupted by the smell of a mare in heat again. Looking up he saw Star standing before him. Sighing he rolled his eyes. " What?!" he said irritated

    " Jeez I was just going to be friendly and say Hi. Is that not allowed?!" Star snaps slightly and trots back in the direction she came from.
