    Starlight grazed peacefully away from the herd, allowing herself the freedom from rules she deserved, she hated following rules and would sometimes break them. with a playful neigh she reared up

    The large mustang Seafoam was lingering near the White Cliff, watching over his herd through his vibrant sea green eyes. He tossed his blanche white mane.


    Twilight trotted along the beach, staring out at the rolling waves, relishing the feel of sand in her hooves. The black mare snorted and kicked up some sand.


    Ember watched the sea warily, shuddering at the thought. He secretly hated water, and preferred solid ground.

    The darkly pelted mare looked up at her mate as he watched over the herd on the White Cliff that stood tall over them. She reared and bolted off to join Seafoam on the cliff. As she made it there she slowed down to a walk. Seafoam was now in her line of vision. She gave a whinny as an acknowledgement that she was there. She walked up to her beloved mate and nuzzled him, watching over his herd with him. Her eyes closing for a brief moment to enjoy the scene played out for them.

    Riversong was prancing along cliff, some horses warned her not to but she loved the adrenaline rush she would get every time she almost fell. Hearing Starlight in the distance she took off at a gallop to go and play with the mare.

    Shadow Dweller was watching River prance along the cliff making sure she did not fall and get hurt. Stopping she looked up with her ears pricked and then she took off. Sighing the stallion turned around to go check on the other horses safety. Sometimes River would come with him but today she looked distracted, so he went alone.

    Seafoam whinnied a greeting to his mate, nuzzling her and watching his decently sized herd play on the grassland near the beach. He tossed his head, and looked at the dark mare next to him. "Hey, why don't we go to the beach?" He asked, blinking his sea green eyes.


    Twilight stopped and stared out to sea, watching the clear, foamy tide wash over the white sand and leave the pebbles sparkling and shiny. She whinnied softly.


    Ember watched Twilight walk along the beach. How could she like it? He scuffed his hooves into the dry, soft and firm dirt.

    Starlight raised her head and looked over at Ember. Feeling like she was the same she trotted over" Hey.. I know how you feel about water. I don't go in or near it wither. When I was a filly my herd had to pass through this huge, fast current river. They all managed okay. But I was weaker then most foals, I couldn't keep up. Only being days old the water level reached my neck. They forgot about me and kept going. I struggled to swim over and so I ended up being washed up on the bank miles down the river" Star looks at the water as she explains, ears back.

    "I knew water was dangerous." The foal said coldly, shaking his chestnut mane. "So... You don't like water? I hate it, because when..." He trailed off, wondering why he had opened up to this kind black Arabian mare.

    Star smiles and nuzzles Ember softly " Its okay. You can tell me anything. I'm a good listener. And yes I hate water. I don't like rain either so I tend to find shelter"

    Ember looked down. "Well... It was at my naming ceremony." He began slowly. "I was a nameless foal.. Seafoam was there, but my parents weren't..." He took a deep breath. "I came from a rouge herd. My parents abandoned me when I was a newborn, sick and weak, and Seafoam took me in. He was like my father." He said. "At my naming ceremony, I'm sure he was going to call me Waterfire. I herd him talk about it.. I loved it at the time. But while he was away, I was on my own and a fell off the cliff into the water. I couldn't swim and almost drowned when Seafoam hauled me out. Then he called me Ember."

    " Well your safe now. Water is dangerous, that's TRUE. Seafoam is a kind stallion. " Star replies with a sigh, giving the colt a brief nuzzle she walked off
