  • Jensen flinched, forgetting she was still trying to sleep. "Sorry." Turning back to the form, he noticed it wasn't going to do them any harm. So instead of staring at it all night, he went to sit next to Judith. Then, with a quick smirk, he glanced at her ass. Ha! There is no way she can call me out with her eyes closed!

  • Rena listened but didn't hear anything. She shrugged and climbed off the rubble. "We can sleep there." she said, pointing to a small overhang caused by a fallen house.

  • As Judith fell asleep her small hand released the ax and soon she was taken to the wonderful world of dreams.

  • Rena took a sleeping bag out of her backpack and got into it, tucking her rapier in it's sheath into the bag, before trying to get comfortable.

  • Jensen saw how peaceful Judith seemed and he wanted her to stay that way; not take place in such a grueling battle. Feeling very protective, he scooted closer to her. Then, without warning, he moved the hair out of her face before giving her forehead a soft kiss.
It was late into the night before he moved from his spot. He stood at the edge of the roof. There wasn't a chance he was going to wake Judith up. She needed sleep.

  • Rena tried to get to sleep, but it was no use. The comforting sound of waves was gone, rocks were digging into her side. But if she was honest, the one reason she couldn't sleep was them. Everyone around her could slit her throat in the middle of the night. What chance would she have. Unless she did that very thing Rena fingered her knife nervously. No, that would be stupid. The Capitol want a real show, and some girl kiling people without any excess bloodshed was nothing. Sponsor funds would drop, and who knew if she would need them. Besides, the cannon would wake everyone else. She sighed and rolled over, staring at the stars. "I should sleep." she whispered.

  • Judith let out a small shuddered breath as she flipped onto her stomach, her cheek pressed up against the roof. Judith missed the smell of the pine trees and most importantly not being on the run because other tributes might kill the short brunette.

  • Judith opened her eyes as she heard the familiar beeping, "What is it?" She asks her voice sounding as tired as it pretty much gets.

  • "I don't know." He told her. "What do you think it could be?"

(You can pick what's in it. I just thought that people could reward them for being cute together.)

  • Judith sat up and grabbed the familiar silver can, undoing the lid Judith gasped at what was inside, "A canteen!" Judith shook it and squealed, "It seems like it's full as well." Judith took out the canteen with a grin plastered onto her face.

  • Judith nodded the smile slowly leaving her face, "I am hungry, I haven't found food since we've been in the arena."

  • "Yeah." Rena shurrged out of the sleeping bag and tucked her knees into her chest, absent-mindedly playing with her knife. "Nervous. We have supplies and everything, but everyone else is smart. That girl from Seven got away with an axe and I'm betting she knows how to use it. When it comes down to breaking the alliance, I'm going to have to kill you, so what's the point in this? We won't both survive if we become friends."

  • "I don't think we should split up yet. We are a good team and if or when it does come down to it then is rather go out being killed by a friend than not because I would know that I let a friend live" he said.

  • "If anyone can be friends in this place." She sighed. "And besides, how do you know we're a good team? We met each other a few hours ago. We might as well just be two random people who just so happen to be stuck here."

  • ((Leave me to send in the presents. I'm forgetting the technical term right now. Periodically, I will send some out.))

It was now completely dark. Clouds obscured the stars and the moon and it smelled of rain. Somewhere, there was suddenly a large amount of splashing and squealing. A wild pig was being dragged into the water by an alligator.
The storm that had been threatened broke a few hours into the night. Thunder crashed and lightning split the sky. Rain fell down in sheets. Even when the thunder came occasionally, the rain continued well into the morning.
Sylvie caught some sleep herself during the night.
