    She looked away "I'm not exactly a friendly person" she muttered, her voice edged with unfriendiness

    "I think you just described half the Clan," he chuckled, pointing a thumb toward a young teen standing in a corner, arms folded across her chest. "That's Emma. The only one she ever talks to is me."

    He gave a chuckle and nodded. "Definitely like us," he nodded. Aaron called Emma over. The teen dragged herself over and grumbled something about how Aaron knew she hated large get-togethers.

    Lexi stepped back, pulling her hood as far as it would go, looking at Devin once more then at Emma

    Devin gripped her arm a little tighter in reassurance. Emma looked Lexi over for a moment before rumbling a greeting.(she sounds like Raven from TeenTitans.) "Hello," she said, not even making an effort to smile. It was obvious she didn't want to be there. "As this dipstick has told you, I'm Emma."

    Lexi dipped her head in greeting then looked away, obviously giving away that she didn't want to be there either, she kept her green gaze fixated on Emma

    "Okay this is getting nowhere," he said, ushering Emma back to her corner. "Go blow something up to cheer yourself up." He said, receiving a punch to the face. "Okay, I do believe I deserved that."

    Lexi smiled slightly "I find other people's pain amusing" she explained quietly

    He chuckled, rubbing his cheek. "Emma is like the queen of pain," he breathed, watching his friend. "You should have seen what she did to Ross the other day. It was quite terrifying."

    Lexi smiled "I would have found that hilarious then" she said, her eyes sparkled with laughter and she took a chance on actually grinning

    He gave a nod and smiled. "She's quite....terrifying at times....true story," he said, glancing back at Emma. The girl grinned as someone tripped somewhere.

    She looked at Devin "we had great fun killing off my lovely step daddy didn't we Devin?" She grinned evily "payback hurts"

    He grinned just as darkly. "Indeed," he purred. "My one true act as a creature of the night."
    "Denying what you've become," Aaron nodded in understanding. "Been there before. Upon my turning, I accidentally killed my sister." Devin rubbed the back of his head, dipping it down as though he was too ashamed to share his sad story.

    Lexi flinched all of a sudden "oh God...." She muttered "my step father murdered my mother after I turned..." She closed her eyes, shuddering, then shook her head, digging her nails into her palm

    He was quick to comfort Lexi, giving her arm a light rub and her hand a gentle squeeze. He looked up at Aaron as the boy asked a question. "What about you, Devin?" Devin tensed his muscles and closed his eyes. "It was my best friend," he breathed quietly. "That was killed upon my Turning. He was my Blood Brother....we had made a Blood Pact to always be there for each other." He swallowed hard. "It was that Pact that go him killed."

    Lexi stopped shuddering but tears ran down her face, though since she had her hood up she didn't bother wiping them away and she looked at Devin gratefully

    Lexi smiled and sighed, looking about her, warily "I hope no-one saw that" she muttered to Devin, she shook her head and rubbed her eyes
