She knew there was a hold without looking because, well, ever since a building safety adviser was appointed to visit ever 3 months, since, well, the base is underground after all, Ruby's holo-watch was edited to notify her if something was up with the building. She went to the area and looked at Crystalize. "Did you cause this?" Ruby asked, then patching up the hole with some dirt.
