Lucy woke up next to her mate Deathless. She quietly got up and went outside. The air was cooler than before winter was on its way soon. She climbed up onto the rock and gazed up to look at the sky.

Fang was snoring in the pack den. He had a long night trying to find a deer in the hunting party last night.

  • Aurora opened her eyes as faint streaks of dawn light began streaming into her den. She stretched and padded out. She yawned, showing white teeth that contrasted greatly against her black pelt. She sat and waited for the rest of her pack to wake up.

  • Ruby blinked open her amber eyes. The morning rays almost blinding her as she stood. Her beige pelt shining in the light. Stretching out her limbs, she opened her mouth to let a almost inaudible yawn pass her lips. Straightening her composure she padded outside. Smiling as she found the weather to be great. Quickly, she dipped her head in greeting to Aurora. "Nice weather huh, not going to last long though." Sitting down next to the raven furred wolf, she looked at the orange leafed forest that surrounded the den. Knowing that soon enough, hardships would come over the pack. After all, winter always brings bad things.

  • Dakota began to wander back to the pack after exploring throughout the night. She saw a few wolves had woken up and trotted towards Ruby, Aurora and Shadow. She glanced over at Lucy as she passed but decided it was better not to disturb her as she seemed deep in thought, or maybe just distracted.

  • Lucy jumped down from where she was laying and began to her duty and pay attention to her surroundings. She scented deer in the east and humans in the north other than the humans all was normal in the territory.

Fang had finally woken up and walked to the Mother Den to check on his mate Kordra. "Kordra?" He called.

    OOC:

IC: Flower, Star, and Moon were pounced on by the two larger pups, Tree and Sun. They barked for Sky. "Sun! Tree! You know better than that! Do not pounce on your sisters!"

  • Lucy smiled as she heard the young wolves playing. She would probably have some soon but in the meantime she had duties to do. "Dakota, Ruby, Aurora, Soil! Go on a hunt. We lost that deer last night so try to get one again. I scented them in the east." Lucy barked the order politely.

    Fang yawned.

    OOC:

IC: Soil saw an eagle and jumped to swipe it down. He flipped it and pinned its wings and talons under it so it couldn't hurt him and ripped its neck. He dragged it back to camp, then caught a small doe and fawn.

  • Dakota nodded and smiled at Lucy 'Sure; she responded and looked around at the others waiting for there response and standing up ready to go.

  • Ruby nodded, dipping her head in respect for the alpha. Standing up, she shook her pelt. Nodding to Lucy to signal she was ready to go. Ruby waited for the other two to be ready.

    OOC:

IC: After his hunt, Soil dragged his freshprey-- an eagle, a squirrel, a doe, and a fawn-- to the camp and put it on the freshprey pile.

  • As the pack began to slowly get up, Aurora greeted them with happy nods. It was great weather, but, as the rest of the pack were quick to point out, it would not last. Winter would bring many hardships. Aurora padded up to Lucy with a polite nod. "Is there anything I can do?" she rumbled calmly.

  • Leaping into the forest. Ruby looked from left to right. Taking a sniff of the air, she followed the scent of rabbit that drifted into her nose. Taking careful steps, her ears flicked. Catching the sound of tweeting birds. "I guess I'll have to be careful. One noise and they'll alert all prey in earshot." The amber eyed wolf whispered to herself. As she continued to walk, the scent became almost intoxicating. Filling all her senses, her bright eyes locked onto the figure of a small furry creature. Which was taking small nibbles of the grass that grew below its form. 'Rabbit.' She thought. Pulling herself to bend down slightly, tail low, nearly sweeping at the fallen autumn leaves. Paws pushed against the ground as she crept towards the rabbit. A few seconds passed before she leaped at the rabbit. Its small body almost escaping Ruby's jaws. Unfortunately its hind leg was snagged on a long wire of bramble, a loud cry of pain escaped its tiny mouth before Ruby delivered one killing bite to the creature. Almost feeling sorry for the small animal. "It feeds the hungry." She reminded herself. Licking the blood from her muzzle and clutching the rabbit with her jaws. Making her way back to the pack. Hopefully, the wolf who eats the rabbit would be grateful.

  • Aurora smelled the freshly killed rabbit moments before Ruby emerged from the woods. Aurora padded up to her, waving her tail in greeting. "That is quite a nice rabbit. Do you want me to take it to the nursery for you? You deserve to have your own meal after catching such a plump one."

  • Crescent went off to check for humans, she caught a scent of a human nearby, she heard a sound that sounded like a gun shot. Crescent hid in a bush, she saw the hunter carrying what seemed to be a long stick. A stick that could shoot stuff out? "Weird" she said to herself. Crescent was now paying close attention to the humans a few minutes later the humans walked away from her hiding spot. This was her chance to run. Crescent ran back to her pack.

  • Smiling to Aurora through the mass of fur beneath her jaws. Ruby nodded. "If its no trouble that is." She muttered. "I'm not too hungry. I may eat something later." The amber eyed wolf told Aurora. Passing the rabbit over to her and dipping her head in thanks.
