"Yes, I'm fine. Just..... a little worried about my family." Mint replied, pushing past him to continue and possibly take the lead. "Although I'm sure they can protect themselves, I'm still afraid of what might have happened."

Seeing that Mint had wanted to take the lead, Sky quickly followed behind her, trying his best to avoid being hit in the face with kicked up snow."You think something might have happened to them?" Sky pressed the subject, a sudden worry filling his voice.
-
"I'm not going to answer." She snapped with a edge to her voice, purposely kicking snow at him with her back leg. "Okay? Because I don't want to think about that right now, honestly."
-
Sky did not see the sudden barrage of snow coming until it was too late. The white powder splattered onto the stallion's muzzle, causing him to flinch and stop in his tracks. Quickly shaking the frozen water from his fur, he let out a low growl before trotting back to Mint, this time at her side."Alright, pardon me from being nosy." Sky said simply, dipping his head in apology. Sky was never the type of pony to force another pony to spill their secrets. He was quite the opposite, actually. Before the war and started, he was a simple Vanhoover city-goer that was friendly to all that came across his path. Never did he imagine fighting those same ponies in a war that did not seem to stop.
Hopefully, with this peace treaty, the war would end and allow the ponies to return home.
-
"I'm sorry for kicking snow in your face, Sky." Mint apologized, flicking her ears forward at his low growl. "I just don't want to think about it, again." She said quietly, turning her head to stare at the stallion next to her. "Anyway, what would you do once you get home?"
-
Nodding his head, Sky mutely accepted the apology."I would most likely jump into my comfortable bed before sleeping the day away!" The stallion answered with a chuckle. Oh, how he missed his bed. The comforting hay-filled sheets were like a siren call, luring Sky into an eternal slumber. It was much more comfortable than the hayless beds they had for the soldiers in Canterlot.
-
She laughed at what Sky had said, falling silent after that and spreading her wings involuntarily to stretch them. "If we can deliver this message, then maybe things will get better."
-
"As long as there is no war, it could not get any better!" Sky chuckled at himself as he leaped over a small pile of snow.Just as Sky was about to say something to start another conversation, he quickly shut his mouth before stopping.
"Do you feel that?" The stallion asked the still moving Mint, his ears perking in different directions.
-
She stopped to glance back at him, giving Sky a odd look mixed with confusion and folding her wings against her side. "What are you talking about?"
-
Before Sky could answer, the rumbling feeling grew stronger, as if the whole world was shaking. It was not as strong as an earthquake, but whatever was causing it was getting closer.Glancing around, Sky attempted to pinpoint the location of whatever the cause of the vibrations was. His gaze almost immediately locked with the train tracks next to him.
"There is a train coming!" Sky shouted, just before the sound of the train horn erupting through the silent air. "Stay clear of the tracks!" The stallion warned, quickly taking several steps away from the tracks.
-
She stepped away from the tracks to stand next to Sky, watching the train as it went past with a odd look on her face. "I've never really been on a train, what about you?" Mint asked awkwardly, messing around with a clump of snow with one of her hooves, giving up on it and turning to him
-
"We use it to get around the territory easily. If my squad was to be stationed at, say, Vanhoover, then we would take the train instead of walking." Sky explained, watching as the train roared past, buffeting his feathers with wind. "Of course, we could also use it for transporting soldiers to a battle." He added. "That is most likely how Twilight and her troops managed to get to Fillydelphia so quickly." -
"That makes sense."
ooc~ sorry for my short posts, my mom's been yelling at me to get off because I got sick last night -
And sorry for my late reply. I have not been able to pull as much muse as I used to be able to. It is to the point I am replying to three or four threads before becoming too tired to do the rest.
I will try to keep active, though.IC: The train soon passed with one last car, leaving the sound of the train to fade behind them. "Let's go." Sky ordered, quickly breaking into a trot. "That was the supplies train. They are most likely going to Fillydelphia to trade." The stallion mentioned, thinking back to the last trade he was a part of. He traded some warm clothes for a shiny sword long ago. He was regretting that decision with a
heatedfrosted passion. -
ooc~ that's okay, I don't really have that much "computer freedom" anymore now that I'm back at school. is that picture of the crying girl from SAO?
ic~ "Then let's go." She replied, stepping past him to continue on the road leading to canterlot, spreading her green and white wings to catch a breeze. "I kind of miss flying, just a bit. I'm not usually on the ground this long, most of the time." -
Yep! I was thinking of changing it to match my profile name, but I decided to keep it as Silica.IC: "I haven't gone flying in too long. Sometimes I find myself waking up with my wings flapping on their own, trying to lift me from the bed." Sky chuckled as he trotted alongside Mint. A slight blush crossed his face after he spoke, as if he was too embarrassed to continue.
-
"Well, I think that's fine, since I'm usually the one to roll of my bed." She snickered, her ears flicking back towards where the timberwolf like object or creature was still laying
ooc~ hehe SAO's awesome :3 -
Yes, I can agree with that statement. Have you watched the most recent episodes?IC: The two ponies soon fell into a silence as they continued to trek through the snow toward Canterlot. It was not until another train passing by that Sky spoke, if only to warn Mint of the approached train. This train seemed to be going slower than the other one, however.
"Let's keep moving. I don't like the way this train is slowing down." Sky spoke as he trotted past Mint, only to be stopped by a sudden shout.
Turning around, he let out a snarl. His suspicions were correct. The train had come to a complete stop, allowing the passengers to exit the vehicle easily.
"What business do you have to be walkin' in this snow?" One of the soldiers asked as they approached, their heavy armor making it difficult to make out their fur color.
"We have a message for Celestia. Nothing that should worry a hoof-soldier like you." Sky remarked, his blue colored eyes narrowing at the pony. Before the soldier could speak anymore, a lighter armored Pegasus shushed him with a flick of their tail.
"What kind of message?" The mare asked, her chin held high with pride. She must be the leader of this squad...
-
ooc~ I have not, but I heard Kirito is a girl in Gun Gale Online
She glanced at Sky, flicking her tail as a warning and stepping forward to address the other ponies that had just stepped off the train. "Like he said, we're going to deliver a letter to Celestia, if you'll excuse us and let us go." -
He just looks like a girl.IC: "I'm sorry, but I can't let you go that easily," the mare replied scornfully, her deep blue gaze shifting from Sky to Mint. "Tell us what is in that letter, then I will let you go." She added.
