Feather gave a soft sigh after Crescent had fallen asleep, shaking her head before leaving the healer's den. Looking around, she didn't spot anyone that needed help, so she lay down at the mouth of the mass den and placed her head on her paws. Her jaws opened in a wide yawn before she sleepily closed her eyes.

OOC: This is the product of my bored mind, needing stimulus after 7 hours of school. Sorry for anything overly described.

Splash couldn't stop running. He didn't know why he was running, or where to, only that he must. Trees blurred on either side of him, and branches scratched his flank, but the forest was eerily silent. Splash made no sound as he ran, nor did anything else. With a shock, he realized that for the first time in his life, Splash couldn't hear Whitewater River. It was a minor thing, but something that made the pup extremely uneasy. The River was a constant white noise in and around camp, and the absence of that noise made him feel weak and alone. Splash was rapidly growing tired, and he could now hear one sound in this muted forest: The huffing breath of something large, coming closer. Fear gave him a short boost, but it didn't last long. Just as he felt like collapsing, the pup ran full-speed into a small, brown pelt. The two wolves went tumbling a short ways, before Splash scrambled to his feet, breathing heavy from his sprint through the woods. With a shock, the brown pup realized that the wolf he had run into was Rabbit. Except, this wasn't the Rabbit Splash remembered. This Rabbit looked thin and sickly, normally sleek brown pelt ravaged by disease. There was a dull light in his eyes, and the sick pup stepped forwards menacingly. "Going somewhere, Splash?" Rabbit had often said this when they'd played together, to try and intimidate him. Usually it hadn't bothered the pup. Now it did. "You were just about to miss playtime."
Suddenly, Splash was surrounded by his dead family, all looking as sickly as Rabbit. He spotted his mom, her eyes holding anger they had never shown in life, and his older brother, tongue lolling and blood-lust visible in his eyes. "No!" Splash backed away, only to run into his dad, who grinned menacingly, and lunged. Just before the large brute hit him, Splash's vision went black. It took the pup almost a minute to realize that he was in the Pup Den. He'd simply woken up from a nightmare. As his gaze adjusted to the darkness, Splash saw that his nest was spread all over the den, probably thrown there by thrashing paws. I'll get it later He decided, and wandered out into the Sun-lit clearing, images of his dream still haunting his vision. -

Song grinned at the pup that dashed by. "Why hello." She then turned to the new male who had approached, Flame, she thought it was. she smiled softly, her eyes dancing with kindness. "Hi. Im Song of Chilling Wind. Who are you? Im new here... In a way."

OOC: willow, the loners are getting acquitted with the pack. Splash is having disturbing dreams, Dove is frustrated with her wolves......Idk, miss anything? Rain is starting to crush on song, I think.
Also, Daciana, if its ok with you, I think it'd be cool if Splash saw Feather like a surrogate mom. But, I'll leave it up to you. If you nix the idea, I'll just change his perspective a bit. :)IC: Splash did a double take as he passed by the new wolf. Had she said something to him? Seeing that she was occupied trying to get Flame's attention, he meandered over to where Feather lay. Splash would never admit it, but the she-wolf's presence always had a calming effect on him. He lay down with a sigh, wordlessly snuggling into the hunter's side. Splash was still tired, almost more so than when he went to sleep earlier, but struggled to stay awake. Staying awake meant no dreams. Instead, he focused on Feather's scent, breathing it in an out, instantly more relaxed.

Ic: Crescent slept soundly, her eyes closed. She felt safe and secure now...but Starlight was getting worse by the minute, her blood covering her left side of her face and her paw was even more so swollen now. Crescent couldn't sleep so she stood and began to pace, her eyes on her sister.
Ooc: Could someone who knows herbs see to Starlight please....like this whole time Rain was supposed to look to her and heal her but instead is getting involved with song and leaving poor Starligt to become even worse condition,

"I wouldn't want to kill you."He whispered into her ear, then he drew away, his fur growing hot with embarrassment."I mean not like I would even be your mate. Were just freinds, right?..."He faltered, backing away, then tripped over a root that had snagged onto his paw. He looked over at Song with suprise, then jumped up."I-I...have to go."He rushed off to his den to think.
***
As he was lying in the medicine den, his mind whirling, he debated on if he liked Song or not. His mind was going on a never ending war and he couldn't stop it. You totally like her. No you don't, that's messed up, she's a loner. So, who cares, at least she's beautiful, nice, and smart. Beautiful! What are you talking about beatiful? She's probably never even stepped foot in water before! And nice, did you see how much of an attitude she had earlier? And smart? She wants to go out into the woods alone not even healed! Ha, smart, that'll be anouther day... Rain shook his head to clear out the thoughts, but the argument wouldn't stop, unless... He had to decide. He thought about how much similarities they had and how they've had the same type of past. And what he mostly thought about was the feeling he got when he was around her and her only...a strong type of protection, like he could be invincible any time he was around her. He had made his choice. Im in love. I totally like her. He smiled as the thoughts had filled out of his head. Then, suddenly, a pang of guilt swept through his body as if it told him not to do this. So what if I do like her? I know it's against the healers code, but sometimes you have to break it to do good things.
She shrugged half heartedly, not really giving the question serious thought. "No, not really ever. I'm a loner, remember? I've never even had time to think about it, and even so, that requires a mate, which is hard to find in my existence. Most makes just want to kill me. "She grinned mischievously. "As you can clearly see. " she turned back to the pups and laughed at how cute and innocent they were. It was hard to imagine she had ever been that way. -
Flame smiled at Song, "Nice to meet you too, I hope I didn't hurt you wen I carried you back to camp" he said looking at her wounds then back at her, Flames side was still bleeding but he did his best to hide the big bite mark on his side, he didn't feel it anymore but they might worry, just maybe.
Blight saw Splash looking for someone, Blight padded up to him seeing that he was distraught, "you alright?" she asked concerned for him, "if you want I could give you a poppy seed or two to help you sleep" Blight offered him, worried that he was in pain or something like that.

Ic: Crescent glared at Rain in annoyance "You going to help my sister or daydream about some fae you like?" she barked roughly, htough her tone was edged with more anxiety and worry than anger. She went to pacing, seeing her sister begin to breath unevenly she froze unsure what to do....she was so uncertain.
Starlight began to tremble and spasm, her breathing uneven as blood continued to flow down her lovely face.Ooc:

Ooc: Yeah, sounds good to me!
) IC: Feather felt something warm press against her fur, and opened one eye to see Splash curl up next to her. She felt him relax and frowned slightly, realizing that to relax you had to have been tense. She was about to say something, but Splash seemed somewhere else, so she just reached over and gave him a lick on the forehead in an effort to tell him she was there for him. She gave a sigh before curling her tail around the pup and going back to sleep once more. -
Song flinched in surprise at Rains stumbling retreat, her eyes wide with confusion. She stared after him for a few moments. What was that..? She shook the shock from her pelt and turned back to Flames shocking words. "You were the one who brought me here?" Her gaze began roaming the camp and she spotted Crescent pacing anxiously. She narrowed her eyes and muttered to Flame, "umm thanks for that.... Ill be right back..." She stood and stalked across the clearing as quickly a her battered body would allow. As she approached Crescent she looked around to Starlight, trying to recall any healing knowledge she may have picks up on her travels. "What's wrong with her?" She asked softly.

OOC: Just FYI, I will be gone this evening to around midday Sunday. Keep RPing, but I just won't be here. :) Also, Sorry for the short post. Low muse, not much time.

IC: Splash glanced up at Blight, slight panic in his eyes at the thought of confronting his dreams again. "No!" He practically shouted. "I mean, I-I'm good." The tense pup curled up tighter, and once again concentrated on Feather.

Ic: Crescent blinked in surprise and shifted before nosing her sisters face to the light so Song couild see the long gash on her face and her swollen paw as well.
Ooc:
-
"Ouch," she muttered. "What happened?" She tried to keep crescent in conversation while she rummaged about the den for herbs. She really didn't know much, but she knew the basics. Yarrow stops bleeding. Cobwebs patch the wound. Poppy seeds help with pain. So that's what she decided to do. First she chewed up some yarrow, and then she put it on the wound on her face. Afterwards she applied cobwebs to keep the blood flow from continuing and try to keep it clean. She didn't know what to do for her paw, but she put some poppy seeds in front of her to eat. She looked at Crescent apologetically. "I'm sorry, that's all I know."
-
Feather noticed how jittery Splash was and decided to add on to what he said. "Thank you for offering to help, Blight, but I think Splash will be just fine. If there's anything we need I'll tell you." She smiled softly at the young wolf, hoping that it was enough to make her not feel rejected.
-
Blight was a little sad, she nodded, "hope you get better" she said and walked off, she scented blood and saw Song trying to help the other two wolves that had been injured, Blight rushed over once she saw the cut over the ones head, "I'm going to need marigold and cobwebs can you get that for me?" Blight asked Song, while checking who she was pretty sure her name was Starlight.
-
Song nodded hesitantly to the young wolf. She was only a pup and she wasn't sure she was comfortable letting her work on Starlight. "Do you know what you're doing?" She asked Blight gently.
-
"yes the marigold is to fight off infections, the cobwebs are to help stop the bleeding and hold the marigold pulp in place and the poppy seed if for the pain, but just one anymore then that and she could fall asleep we don't want that yet, because we need to know if well have to on more or not" Blight said looking at Song with a steady and confident gaze.

OOC: Hey, I have to say goodbye for the weekend, but I'll be back Sunday. Enjoy the Rp! (Also, I really like how i described falling asleep in this passage.
Idk why, but it sounds cool in my mind. Hope ya'll like it, too! )Splash glanced up at Feather, grateful for her interjection. "Thanks" He muttered. With a slight shock, Splash realized that the sun was on it's descent, and, already, the clouds had a faint pink hue. He hadn't eaten all day, and his stomach was reminding him loudly. The pup knew he should eat, but he lacked the motivation to get up and do so. Its fine. He told himself. I can eat tomorrow, and besides.... The pup's thoughts were interjected by a long yawn. Its so comfortable here...No! Splash berated himself, snapping his eyes open. I halfta....stay....awake. He gave another halfhearted attempt to stay up, but knew it was helpless. The day had been busy, full of new experiences, and not all of them good. And, like any normal pup, Splash needed plenty of sleep, even if he didn't want the dreams that came with it. So, with a small snore, He fell into sleep's black embrace, tumbling through the endless expanse, all while not budging from his tightly curled position by Feather's side.
-
Feather spoke softly in reply to the pup's words, as she saw he was falling asleep. "You're always welcome, Splash." She watched him fall asleep, though he seemed to be fighting it at first. Having rested earlier, she wasn't tired. Feather looked around camp, seeing Blight using her knowledge to help Starlight, Song by her side. She didn't see Rain or Dove anywhere, but she could see Flint on the edge of the clearing and Flame more towards the center. Everyone looked okay to her at least, so she settled down and stared through the tree limbs at the twinkling night sky.
