  • "Jay! I thought I told you to stand watch!" Hissed a tall man at a short teenaged girl. "And you said you wouldn't take long." She said simply as they both slip into the prince's bed room with out a sound. "If you get in the way..." He said trying not to shout. There was foot steps out side the door. "Hide!" He said as he slipped behind some curtains. The inexperienced assassin slipped under neath the bed. The door opened and she could hear someone walk in. When the door had closed, her mentor/tormenter (depending on what mood he was in) swung the curtains away and punched the person in the face. He collapsed. "Jay!" He hissed at her as she slipped out from under the bed. "What?" She asked as she got up. She was down on the floor again when he punched her in the face. "What the-" She didn't have much time to act. She had her dagger out as he tried to kick her face in. She rolled out of the way and jumped at him. He was faster though. He disarmed her and tossed her to the ground again. "You still don't think things though!" He said as he pulled his sword out and stepped on her chest. "It's a good thing you came..." He pushed down on her chest harder. "I'll make it look like you did it..." He glanced at the person which Jay now knew was the prince, "They would expect that I did it..." She could tell he was grinning even in the dark, "If they find you dead with his sword though you, then they will have no choice but to say you did it." He quickly moved over to the prince and raised his sword. She wasn't ready to let him kill this person and her. "Not going to let you do that with out a fight!" Jay jumped forward and tried to grab the blade by it's hilt, cutting her arm in the process. She had a hold of his wrist. "I won't let you do this!" She said as he pulled away and swung at her. Another deep cut, this time on her side. Last chance... She drew a dagger and charged him again. She got him in the heart and he got her all the way down the side of her back. She took a few shaky steps towards the way they came in to escape, knowing that he was dead. Must leave... She collapsed feeling light headed and weak. Jay tried to get up, I can't be seen... She could hear some moving behind her. She rolled over to see the the prince was awake. Her eyes closed as she drifted into unconsciousness To late now.... The last thing she remembered has hearing someone call for help.
