  • "She can't live down here. She's having major problems adjusting such as pressure change," he replied.

  • "Don't worry, she'll live. The pressure change isn't enough to kill her." The king assured him.

  • "But she won't survive here! She wasn't born a mermaid! She can't survive like this!" He explained further.

  • "Why would you care? I thought you hated humans." the king asked.

  • "I do. But mostly if they're in our water. As long as they stay on their land I'm fine with them," he stated.

  • "Well, she's not leaving. I'm not sending her home." The king said.

  • "Why not?! She wants to go home! She needs to go home!" He protested. "I did all you asked and I'm telling you send her home!"

  • "Because I said so! She doesn't get to leave. If you really don't want to marry her, you don't have to. But she stays." The king said.

  • The prince was happy about not marrying her but he was mad that she wasn't allow to go home. He swam back to her room, not one bit going to listen to his father.

  • The prince came in the room and slammed the door, forgetting that she use to be asleep.

    "W-what's wrong?" I asked weakly. I could tell the prince was upset about something.

  • "If you want to get home, I'll have to smuggle you out," he told her plainly.

  • "Yeah. I don't want to marry you and that's been taken care off but you being stuck down here where you don't want to be isn't right. You want to go home, don't you?" He asked.

  • "Why's that?" He asked. "Just tell them the prince wanted to marry a mermaid like him."
