  • She looked down. "I've been wanting to do that for so many moons...." But then she remembered how awful her father used to act... and how angry he'd get... and how he'd yell. "But father would get mad." She said, closing her eyes, her head low.

  • Spiritcall stood up lashing his tail. "Your a doormat you let your father dictate your entire life. You should have stood up to him. I meet you in secret because I hoped you would make a good decision." He mumbled as he turned away. "Fangstrike doesn't even want the kits. So make your choice when you want." He mumbled shaking his head a bit feeling foolish.

  • Grassclaw looked down, feeling guilty. She buried her face into Hazeltail's side. But then the mature, yet smooth voice of Hazeltail spoke. "Father killed Seakit."

  • Spiritcall shook his head a bit. "I'm sorry he did such awful things. Your a full grown warrior now you need to stand up for yourself." He said his eyes clenched shut. "Grassclaw, I really love but I can't keep feeling the waiting game." He mumbled a bit.

  • Grassclaw was silent for a moment, before raising her head. "Seakit was our sister. Wh-when we were all first born... f-father said sh-she was to be mates with another newborn kit, W-webkit, when they were senior apprentices. M-mother refused because she said Seakit needed to make her own choice on who she was to be m-mates with. Father was furious.... s-so...... he snapped Seakit's neck... right there in the nur...." She stopped speaking, she couldn't even finish that word. Hazeltail, not wanting to relive the memory, turned to Sunkit and Fernkit. The two newborn she kits were grooming eachother happily.

  • He turned away seeming about to cry. "I feel really bad for you, but still I can't keep leaving like this. I just can't handle it I don't care anymore. Just raise the kits how you want to." He mewed quietly and looked down as he walked outside heading over to talk to Rainsplash.

  • Grassclaw's pupils shrunk as her heart sank like stone in a river. How could he..... how could they..... no. She thought he'd support her.... She thought he'd be there when she needed to face her father... when it was time to..... NO!! Grassclaw finally stood. Hazeltail looked up at her. "Grassclaw, what are you-" "NO! I'M DONE! I'M DONE WITH ALL OF THIS! I'M GOING TO GO TALK TO THAT MONSTER. THE ONE WHO KILELD MY SISTER, THE ONE WHO PINNED ME DOWN ALL MY LIFE!" She exclaimed, running off. Tears were falling behind her, staining her face and making her eyes red. She darted past the cats, heading into the forest where her father would be. She was mixed with rage and sadness all at once. And she didn't know who the rage was going to.

  • Rainsplash listened to him carefully as she sighed nodding as she saw Grassclaw raced off distressed. "Go." She said and he nodded quickly. Spiritcall raced after her puffing quickly hearing her loud footsteps. "Please Grassclaw slow down!" He pleaded as he sped up his ears folded back.

  • Grassclaw stopped in her tracks, turning to him with tears continuing to pour effortlessly down her cheeks. Her teeth were clenched and her eyes were staring into his with both depression and rage. She wanted so badly to cry on his shoulder, but the words he spoke to her echoed in her mind and stopped her. '....I can't handle it, I don't care anymore. Just raise the kits how you want to.....' She dug her claws in the ground as more tears made their way down her face. "WHAT." She said stiffly and bluntly, coldness and fury, and a hint of sadness in her voice.

  • He froze hearing hostility from her he never imagined he would hear from her. He looked down at his paws obviously completely ashamed. "I..I am so sorry...I shouldn't have said the things I did." He mewed his ears flattened against his skull showing how bad he felt. He didn't know how much he really meant those words.

  • "I-If you don't care about how we... about how the kits are raised... then why are you coming? Just making sure I don't break down before I tell him, huh?" She asked, more tears flowing down her cheeks as her voice, although still filled with rage, softened a little.

  • He looked at her sighing deeply. "I do care...I'm just scared that something bad will happen to you." He confessed as he backed up a step considering that even though her rage had lessened a tiny bit still it was really bad.

  • She let her claws sink back into her paws as she turned away from him, her rage filled voice now flowing wiht nothing but the plain sadness she was trying so hard to mask. "Just come on, okay?" She said, then ran off again, this time at a slightly slower speed.

  • He sighed saying nothing as he followed her. He stood beside her as he swiveled his ears trying to avoid eye contact. "So where is he?" He mumbled quietly and ran along beside her falling in at her side guessing she didn't want him too close at the moment.

  • "He should be by the river not far from here." She responded, turning around a large bush and sniffing the air, then running ahead.

  • He sighed blankly nodding as he quietly followed her his ears perked. He listened intently wondering how this would go. He padded beside her accidentally brushing pelts with her. He instantly backed away giving her a bit of distance his claws unsheathed.

  • Grassclaw didn't seem to mind as she continued to pace along, until..... A tall tom with a piercing white pelt could be seen, sitting and looking in the distance. His claws were unseathed as they always were, and they were halfheartedly prickling the ground as he looked out. Grassclaw instantly backed up a bit.

    "F-father...?"

  • Spiritcall almost ran into Grassclaw taking a back by the strange manner the tom acting in. He stood a little in front of Grassclaw protectively. "You can do it I know you can and I'll be right by your side." He mewed giving her a reassuring lick on the ear before padding beside her keeping his eyes trained on the tom his eyes narrowed to slits.

  • His narrow eyes turned, their red color revealed. He walked up to his daughter, towering over both of the cats. "What is it, Grassclaw?" He asked, his voice rough. "You know I HATE to be disturbed during meditation." Grassclaw seemed to back up on that. "W-well, Wingedfur, I, um.. u-um I... um..."

  • Spiritcall puffed out his chest and the still very large tom stood up tall against Wingedfur. "She is pregnant with kits that are not Fangstrike's. They are mine." He growled like a crazy animal. He yowled angrily ready to fight. He was ready for a fight even though he was here for Grassclaw.
