  • ooc: so this roleplay is based off the series Shatter Me. Only the idea of the main character now being able to touch anyone and you character being the only person who can touch her. You dont need to know anything about the series to join :). So as i said before your character needs to be a male, and only he can touch her. In the book the guy is able to absorb her powers, but you dont have to agree to that. You can decide why he can touch her if you want. The plot can go anywhere, if you have any ideas feel free to tell me about them! :)

    Jade | Grace | Waters

Jade is 17. She has no family and no friends. Jade cant touch anyone with out hurting them, or killing them. She lives on the street now, her family kicked her out years ago. They told her she wasn't their daughter, that she was a monster. She started to beleive them. She hasn't spocken in two years, nor has she touched anyone in two years. After she killed a child after trying to help him up, no one wanted her. So now she walks around forests, cities, streets. Ocasionally begging for money.

The cold winter air went striaght through her. Like she was invisible. She was forzen, her bones had turned into ice long ago. Her heart had stopped beating when she started to believe she was a monster. Her little sign said little. Jade felt like she had nothing to say. All she wanted was change. Some change so she could get some food. Her long brown hair blew in the breeze, her green/grey eyes where cast downward. She didn't want to be noticed. She just wanted to be invisible. Maybe the cold would kill her. Maybe that would be nice. Being dead. Maybe she would feel peaceful. Maybe she would go a better place. NO. " i will go to hell" she thought. Remembering her parents hurtful words. The sound of a single coin hitting the bottom of her cup startled her from her from her thoughts.

  • Bright amber orbs flicked to the side as the coin dropped to the cup with a small sound, the boy's gaze not daring to meet that of the other female's. His last little bit of money that he couldn't use anyway, as that little didn't buy anything these days.. He himself was cold, like she was, having worn nothing but a green t-shirt and roughed up jeans like he always did. His shaggy black hair fell into his face and temporarily hid his eyes from view, before shifting to the side to reveal his gaze on her. This girl... Had him curious. She was young, probably a bit older than him, though. She was cold, all alone.. Why was she alone? He wondered that to himself, but it'd be intruding to ask. He himself hadn't spoken in about a week. The boy truly despised most socialization and would only speak when he had no other choice. He could usually communicate with a simple 'mhm' Or movements of his head, but he truly didn't enjoy speaking.

He, after finally managing to meet her gaze for more than two seconds, simply blinked at her. Questions were practically written in his golden orbs. However nervous it made him to look into this stranger's eyes, he was willing to do it. Because when things didn't seem right, he wanted to make them so. If he could, that was. Yes, he knew the feeling of being alone. Having no parents to call his own, he was also an outcast to society. Not hated, like this girl, but like she was wishing- he was invisible. Not literally, but with his lack of words, and finding his own food when he could, he never had to beg or even be in town. Which made this encounter all the more interesting, as he could've skipped town again today. But no, something had brought him here, and he had no idea what.. The thought hadn't even crossed his mind that it could be her, though. After all, things like that didn't happen. Not ever.

He hadn't even noticed that he'd been staring at her for a full minute now, before he blinked once more. He looked away, almost seeming startled as he fidgeted awkwardly in her presence. He really would rather just walk away- after all, he'd helped this poor soul. But he felt a strange feeling within him. Because she was alone. A connection of some sort, maybe? The fact that they were both in the same boat? He wasn't quite sure, but he wasn't even thinking of a possible link to this girl. He just felt drawn to stay, for once in his life. In a social situation with another human being- the most uncomfortable thing he could think of doing at this point. So why did he feel as if he should? "Mmm.." He murred a little, trying to find his voice as he tugged on his shirt collar. Why was it so hard to say a simply little "hello"? "H...Hi." He finally forced out, speaking under his breath in an attempt to keep his voice from being heard. Which was probably a bad idea, but it was a natural habit for him. He never wanted to be heard, so he'd started speaking as quietly as he could manage while still at least showing people that he was indeed speaking and not ignoring them.

    "...W..what's your- name-..?"

[ -whispers- How old would you like him to be? I originally planned him 14 but I can go 15-16 for this RP if you'd like. c:

I'm still thinking as to if he has anything "Special" in terms of ability and such, too. <3 I apologize that I have never heard of the series, but I hope I can live up to your standards despite that fact. ;w; ]

  • ooc: is it okay if he is 16? :) Its cool if he doesnt, i dont mind at all. Also its totally fine if you have never heard of the series and from what I've just read I'm sure you will1

Jade didn't know how to answer. She hasn't spoken to anyone in years. No one has spoken to her in years. Not a single soul has looked her in the eye. Why was he? Why was he looking at her? Why hadn't he walked away like everyone else in her life? Why was this stranger talking to her? " wait, he's talking to me..." Finally she answered, after realising that someone was talking to her. Talking. To. Her. No one had talked to her before. Everyone else had just teased her, yelled at her. Never talked to her.
"Jade" she answered. Her voice was soft, shy. She expected him to walk away. Why wasn't he walking away? For some reason she wanted the ground to open up. She couldn't handle the way he was looking at her. No one had looked at her like that in her whole life.
"whats you name?" she blurted. She didn't even mean too, it just came out like verbal vomit. She couldn't help wanting to know this strangers name.

  • [ That's fine with me! <3 I do agebending a lot, so it's all cool. =w=/
    Awww, thank you! <3 ]

The boy stepped back just a bit- not in retreat, he hoped she realized, but just because she looked so- uncomfortable? Startled? He hadn't been hoping to scare her or anything- maybe he looked scary? Last he'd checked, he'd looked pretty okay- wait, what.

... Jade. that name was most certainly interesting. It sounded like- a name out of a storybook, for him. Not that he'd had many of those read to him in his lifetime, but he secretly clung to the memories of his childhood. A girl named Jade.. Sounded like a protagonist. But this wasn't a book, this was real life, and- if he'd heard correctly, she'd asked him the same question he'd just thrown at her. "U-" His voice faltered. He was glad her voice seemed to be as soft and unsteady as his- small world. "Uh,.." He took a breath. This was stupid- It was just a girl, not a huge crowd of people. Why. Couldn't. He. Speak?

"Luke." He said, his amber eyes still locked onto her greenish-grey ones. He thought them to be pretty. It reminded him of the forest on a foggy day- the forest that he happened to call home most of the time, oddly enough. He noticed they looked rather- surprised, though. The look in her eyes, that was. He guessed maybe she hadn't had many people to talk to, either....

Before he'd even realized it, he'd crouched down on one knee, to her level where she sat. This soft-spoken, cold and lonely girl named Jade- She interested him. And it took a lot to grab his attention. "What are you.. doing out here..?" He managed to form a sentence a little better than before, save for his repeated pauses to clear his throat. His voice was still terribly soft, and he was glad she was the only person listening. Anyone else wouldn't be able to hear.

  • Jade smiled at the ground when he answered. He. No wait. Luke had answered her question. Luke hadn't run away. Luke hadn't ignored her. Luke had stayed. she liked the name Luke. She wanted to know what if felt like to say Luke. How her tounge would move when she spoke his name. "Luke..." she whispered. It did feel nice to say someones name. No had ever told her their name before.
Jade was looking at the ground, her green eyes where counting the cracks in the sidewalk when a sudden movement in front of her made her look up. Suddenly she was looking into amber eyes. They reminded Jade of the sun. Her focus went fuzzy for a second, she was lost in in close gaze. "he's so close.." she whispered in her mind. " he's too close!" she yelled in her mind. She quickly moved until her back was against the wall. Her green eyes filled with fear. Fear that if he touched her. The one person who had ever seemed to care about her, would run away. Once he touched her. He would run away like everyone else. She couldn't let that happen again.
" I don't know anymore..."she whispered to Luke. Her voice shook. Jade looked back up at the two suns, now further away.
"why do you care?" Jade asked, her voice was weak. Her gaze had met his. All she wanted to do in that moment was get lost in eyes forever.

Ooc: sorry i took so long to reply!! :)

  • [ Thank you! nvn
Also my internet went down yesterday, sorry about that! If I stop replying suddenly like that, that's probably what happened. ^^' lelel I kind of jinxed it |D ]

Luke visibly flinched as jade scrambled back against the wall, rather taken aback by the sudden movement and also how... scared she seemed to be. Figuring his presence had startled her, he scooted back, his face holding no expression whatsoever. All his emotions were in his eyes, people said. Or, they would, had he bothered to speak to them. "..Sorry.." He mumbled softly, fidgeting slightly. Luke had always been different from other people, somehow, but he didn't know how. But being the person that he was, he hadn't really cared. If people were wary of him, over interested in him, if they enjoyed bullying him- he didn't care either way. He was just naturally apathetic towards almost everything.

Amber orbs were once again hidden by raven-black locks as the wind shifted once more, but for once, he bothered to lift his pale, bony hand to shove it out of his way. Being mysterious and cold towards this girl wouldn't help either of them. Either of them... The phrase sounded rather strange in his mind as he ran it through. But he didn't have time to think about that; She had spoken. She didn't know, how she'd ended up here? He found that thought to be strange as well, but he couldn't blame her the least bit. He himself, in his wanderings, often forgot where he'd come from. Or where he'd been. Whether or not Jade was in the same situation, he didn't know. It would all be revealed in time, he figured, or it wouldn't be revealed at all. Her next statement- or, question, rather- startled him, however. 'Why do you care'- A question this apathetic loner didn't know the answer to. Why did he care? Yes, he would give help when it was needed, but he'd already helped her by giving his last copper coin. Dropping it right into the dirtied white glass. But why had he gone further? Asking her questions and such things as that? He... didn't know. Her gaze was set on his, even with his ruffled black locks coming in between his and her stare every few moments with the steady breeze blowing his hair every which way. "... Why... Wouldn't I?" He asked in a small voice, and the thought shamed him. But he'd never come across another person in her situation, and he was shocked that no one else had stopped to help her. Without a single thought as to how she might react, he gently reached his hand forward towards her- slowly, as if to give off the impression that he wasn't going to hurt her. He just wanted to put his hand on her shoulder, as the movement used on his own person was some sort of reassurance to him. Maybe it would be to her, too...

  • Scarlett winced as she saw the hurt in his eyes after she moved away. " its okay..." she whispered. Her green eyes couldn't leave his gaze. No. They could if she wanted them to, but she didn't. She wanted to get lost on his amber gaze. They where so full of emotion it was hard to look away. His eyes calmed her. Her heat rate lowered as he stayed where he was. Jade started to realise that she wished he would touch her. Just brush her shoulder. She felt so drawn to him. She was a moth flying into a lamp. She could feel it. Lukes voice took her back to the real world. Her heart melted when he answered. He cares. He really does. Jade felt her cheeks go red, tearing away her gaze from his she smiled lightly at the ground. "someone cares..." she whispered. When she looked up, his hand was reaching towards her shoulder. Jade froze. He cant touch me..... but I want him to. I cant hurt him.... maybe it wont hurt him.... Jades mind raced as his hand came closer. She couldnt move. she couldnt decide it was because she was scared or curious. Suddenly his arm landed on her shoulder. He wasnt screaming. She couldnt feel his energy rush through her body. Jades eyes widened. " you can touch me..." she whispered to him softly. " are you hurt?" she asked franticly " does this hurt?" she asked her green eyes wide. "are you okay?" she said. Her voice was strong. Her heart raced in her chest. He could touch her.....
