  • Tessa sat on the cold pavement, hugging her knees to her chest. Her fierce green eyes glowed in the dark as the rain splashed on her shoulders. Everything was dark, except the occasional dim street light that sent a few shadows scattering back toward the buildings. She swallowed, her throat was sore and her glands were swollen. I can't be sick, she thought, not now. She got to her feet and climbed to a ledge under a third story window. She peeked through the window, a fat man snoring the way they do when they've had to much to drink. Too easy, a voice echoed through her mind. She picked the window with her lock picking device and almost silently climbed in. She dropped to the floor as the man shifted, counting thirty breaths before she stood again. She took a small sack of coins and a ruby from the man's dresser, and then swiftly climbed back out.

Plot: Tessa is a city thief, who steals only what she needs. She has no place she could describe as home, and has a talent of running and climbing. One day, she is caught stealing by your character, but he agrees to let her go. She soon returns, not for the coin, but for the boy. Tessa then finds herself falling into the depths of love.

IC: Adam walks down the side walk with his hands in his sweat shirt pockets. He looked up at the street sighing reading Anderson st, this was his street. It was just getting dark and the sun was just a sliver of light fading away into the distance. He often liked taking walks at this hour. Not to hot not to cold. He looked ger at his house as it just came up to his left. It was a small building not mutch to looknat but to him it was the perfect home. Adam walked up the walk way leading to his door, fished out his keys and stepped in not bothering of turning on the light."Winter I'm home." He calls out tossing his keys on the couch. He was greeted with a mew and the soft patter of feet. A small grey cat padded past him.

  • Tessa climbed up the wall of a small building, her pulse quick. She silently Unlocked and climbed through the window, cursing under her breath when she heard the jingle of a cat's collar. It was a distant sound, so she quickly and quietly searched for coin or valuable things. She smiled devilishly when she found a sac all sack of emeralds on the desk. Pocketing it, she inspected the other half of the room. Tessa was about to tuck a loaf of bread under her belt when she heard the front door open. She froze, dropping to the ground. She heard a male voice call out, then the jingle again. She cursed herself for pausing for the bread, the emeralds had been enough. She concentrated on keeping her breathing and beating heart silent.

  • Adam lifted his arms ulnas his shoulders poled before leaning down undoing his boots and left them by the door way. Winter padded off before heading to the bed room. She stopped at the door seeing Tessa it meowed at her before walking into the room walking past her laying down in her cat bed in the corner of the kitchen. Adam fallowed the cat to walking to the kitchen and walked towards the frig. I Kong it up, the light inside lights up faintly lightly the kitchen. Adam looks in but something catches the corner of his eye as he started to pull out a small cheese wheel. He turns to see what it was seek g Terra in the faint light of the fright. He could make out the girl tish figure and warn out cloths. He then noticed the loaf of bread. He stopped looking at her as his eyes meet hers.

  • Tessa froze, her eyes staring frantically into his. She had been caught, for the first time in... well, she couldn't remember how long ago that she had been caught. She swallowed the growing lump in her throat, tucking the sack of emeralds farther into her pocket. She hoped that maybe the man hadn't seen it. She stepped into the light, a realizing feeling creeping up on her. There was no way she could get out of this. She stood up straight, looking him bravely in the eyes.

  • He watched her as she stepped into the light. Was she admitting she was found? He thought to himself staring at her keeping eye contact with her pondering one what to do. He saw her pocket some thing making him think she was a theft but if she was she wouldn't have need for the breed so this made him think she was also poor. He though about what to door before hearing his cat Winter mew. He looked down seeing Winter walk past him towards Terra. She purred and rubbed her side against her leg. Adam watched before looking into his fridge after a moment he lightly tosses a water bottle at her. I didn't say anything to her after that letting her go.

  • She stared down at the cat in amazement, her heart still thudding fast in her chest. She leaned down and stroked it's ears, a sense of comfort flooding over her. Tessa stood and caught the waterbottle, her eyes widening in surprise. "Thank you," She said softy, wincing when her voice cracked. She took a small step forward, to see if he would let her go. She smiled gratefully when he didn't move, and stepped closer to him. She kissed him on the cheek lightly, a sign of thanks from where she was raised.

  • Adam was a bit surprised when she kissed his cheek. He looked at her for a moment before speaking again. "Its no problem." He said to her giving her a friendly smile. He then looked past her towards the door. "U should probably get going." He said. "I don't really know when my folks will show and I don't think they would like this." He warned her as Winter began to pad her way out of the kitchen into Adkmsroo.

  • She smiled, but it quickly faded. What was she doing? She had just gotten caught, he would most likely call the police when she left. She backed away from him and out the door, her eyes glazed with fear. She ran away from the house, away from him and his cat. She didn't even notice that her show had fallen off her foot (He. Hehehe.). The rain splashed onto her shoulders, like oversized teardrops. When Tessa finally arrived at her small den in the woods, she took out the damp loaf of bread and water bottle and put it on the table. She leaned against the wall, her finger and thumb pinching the bridge of her nose. At least, she thought, the boy didn't know her whereabouts.

  • Adam watched her run out of the house. His cat meowed at him as walking towards the door witch was still left open. He sighed. "All right I'll get it the door." He said to his cat kneeling down patting her head as he walked to the door. He was about to close the door before seeing something just out past his porch. He looked closer seeing it was a shoe? He knelt down picking it up thinking it was the girls shoe. Why she run off in such a hurry? He thought to himself looking at the shoe. Was she sacred I might call the Cops on her? He thought to himself pondering on why but the cop idee seemed the most reasonable. He placed the her shoe next to his good boots as a thought. He began walking back towards his bed room.

  • Tessa walked to the other side of her small home and back, wondering what she should do. She suddenly winced and drew in a sharp breath as pain pulsed through her foot. She limped over to the nearest chair and sat in it, raising up her foot to inspect the injury. There was a shard of glass lodged in her foot. She carefully pulled it out, and bandaged it so dirt didn't get in the wound. Where had her shoe gone? She poked her head out the door and looked back at the main road, no black flat to be seen. Could it be that she left it at the boy's house? But... No, that couldnt have happened. Maybe in Cinderella, but not here, in cold hard reality. She sighed, at some point she would have to go back and retrieve her shoe. She could sneak in, but the last time, that didn't turn out to well.

  • Adam sat down on his bed in thought about what had happened. He looked out side as his cat jumped up onto his bed. "Hey Winter." He said to the cat as she laid down beside him on his pellows. Light flashed fallowed by the sound of thunder. He looked out side at the pooring rain just then his phone rang. Pulling it out he could tell it was his dad telling him he was going to be gone longer justlike he all ways does and surprise surprise he was going to be gone for another two weeks. He sighed looking out the window before standing up grabbing his jacket and an umbrella. "Ill be back Winter. I'm going out." He said to his cat. She looked at him with eyes half open. He strapped on his boots and put his jacket on before grabbing the ti's shoe. He steeped out side the the rain sliding off his thick jacket. He looked down the streets trying to remember how she ran and in the direction she ran. Be stood at the side walk of his house with an umbrella in one hand and the girls shoe in the other.

  • Tessa jumped at the loud clap of thunder, hurrying back to her home. No cops had come yet, maybe the boy had a kind soul. After all, he had tossed her the water bottle. Tessa hugged her knees to her chest in an attempt to try to warm herself. She tucked a strand of her golden brown hair behind her ear, it was exceptionally annoying, always getting in her face.

    Sorry, low muse.

  • Adam thought for a bit the street he was lead from a local forest to the main parts of the town. If I was in her shoes.... Stops relizing what he had said to himself. Okay. I would have gone to the forest it easy to hide there and with little people there to run into. I beginner to walk towards the forest holding her shoe in one hand and the umbrella in the other. He reached the edge of the forest looking in for tracks.in the mud. There was something about the way he was doing this well as if knowing what he was doing he spooted her foot print with a shoe print he fallowed them losing the trail in the water. He could see something of a den ahead of him. "Hello?" He called put from under the rain holding her shoe.

  • Tessa froze as she heard what she thought could have been a voice. It was quiet, a ways off. But then she recognized it. From the few words she had heard him speak, she recognized his voice. Strange, she thought. To scared to go outside, she peeked out of a window. It indeed was him! With her shoe in his hand, and a umbrella in the other. She couldn't decide whether to go outside to meet him or not. It could be a trap. But then again, he had been kind enough to let her go when he caught her. Her thoughts were interrupted by the growling emanating from her stomach. She slowly tore a chunk of the loaf of bread and munched on it, still wondering what to do.

  • Adam could hardly see her as she peeked out the window. He began to walk towards the small hut finally opening the umbrella. "Its all right. I can back to give you back or shoe." He said over the rain as lighting struck over his head. He looked up at the heavy down fall of rain. He thought for a bit before thinking. He looked at the small hut wondering if he should offer her to a bed at his home seeing how his Dad was going to be gone for another week.

  • Tessa listened to what he said, and then straightened so he could see all of her. She flashed him a grateful look, dusting off her tunic. For the first time in a while, she caught herself adjusting her clothes and hair. After all, it had been a while since she had been in the presence of a -conscious- man. Though on her way out, she froze mid step. What if it was a trick? She eyed him cautiously, hands on her hips. She looked into his trusting eyes, oblivious to the rain. Tessa gave up. She needed her shoe. She walked closer to him, and ventured a small smile.

  • Adam held out yer shoe to her with a small smile as well. He wanted to offer her the extra bed at his home but wasn't very sure about it. If his father new that he let a total stranger into his home he would probably get an ear full. One she had the shoe he nodded to her. "Here. You should stay dry." He said lifting up her hand and putting the hilt of the umbrella in it. He smiled at her one last time before turning around and started walking back the way he came. Thunder struck over them as he started to walk away.
