  • I am beyond bored right now. There isn't a word in the english language that describes my utter lack in stimulation.

I've been able to satiate my muse hunger through advanced role-play sites, but they take awhile to respond ('cause like, everyone wants to write a novel in every post), so I'm turning back to this site for a little something on the side. I don't usually prefer to do one on ones, but as I look at this forum, there's a lack in interesting, original role-plays.

So I'm up for advanced plotting, meaning a good few paragraphs with minor spelling and grammatical errors.

I've got a wide array of muse for many things:
    • super heroes/super villains (superman, spiderman, green lantern, x-men; you name it.)
    • Dystopian
    • Supernaturals (no vampires though -- that's getting really old.)
    • Macabre & Horror (serial killers, murder, detectives, et cetera.)
    • Action (F.B.I or C.I.A type stuff.)
    • Period settings (medieval and such things.)
    • I've never done anything old west, but... I can definitely dig that.
    • Fantasy (different world, separate universe, mythical creatures or greek mythology.)
    • I'll do role-plays loosely based off of literature, movies, video games, or TV shows (be warned that I don't really know many movies or TV shows).
    • Game of Thrones. Hell yeah.
    • Apocalyptic! Especially if it's related to Last of Us. I love that friggin' game.
    • I'm open to making an open group role-play or whatever; it looks like this forum could use it.
    • And probably more that I can't think of right now.

    I'm not open to:
    • love triangles (I just don't feel like it).
    • no homosexuality (nothing really against it, it's just not my person preference).
    • I cannot play girls, I'm horrible at it.
    • None of that band crap. No. Nope. Nada.
    • high school role-plays (I like making older characters e.g 25 years or older.)
    • I hate vampire role-plays. It's just old news and it makes me want to throw up.
    • No mermaid/merman type stuff. I'm just not that into it.
    • There's probably more most likely, but... ugh, it takes too much thinking.

  • Hola I Think I am in the same boat as you, Ahhhhh so bored! anyways I would love to do a supernatural, werewolf or Greek mythology ro with you. I don't have many plots at the moment. (I typically play girls can't do guys to save my life!)

  • @Lights; alright, I'll lay down a couple plots for you to choose from. Unless you can come up with more ideas.

    .

    I. Dystopian
A few centuries ago, the North American government began enforcing certain desirable traits in it's citizens via gene manipulation. When the plan took effect, it had disastrous consequences. It did not end in better, more desirable genes, but in damaged ones, causing a civil war betwixt the government and those with the damaged genes. Throughout the country, there are no laws and those that are damaged fight for survival outside government quarantine zones, where the genetically unaltered are protected by guns and elite guards. It's a dog eat dog world. The damaged are outcasted from the sanctuary of the quarantine compounds and live in overrun cities outside the government influence because at least there, if you die, someone might care.

    II. Medieval
Muse A is married to King Henry VIII, who has grown tired of her. She had not yet produced a male heir -- only a daughter. He had also grown infatuated with one of his wife's ladies-in-waiting, Jane, and wished to marry her. But in order to do so Muse A needs to be out of the way. Henry had fallen in love with Muse A because she was fiery and spoke her mind, but now he craved peace and thought the gentle, sweet, submissive Jane could give him that -- and a son. But the Church back then would not just allow a divorce. They needed hard, cold evidence, and even then it may not be good enough. So Henry gave some men the task of discovering dirt on her - namely his secretary and Lord Privy Seal, Thomas Cromwell, and the lawyer and Chancellor, Sir Richard Riche.

They interrogated and tortured many people, including Muse A's ladies, a few of which spun false tales of their mistress’ infidelities out of fear for their live. They finally piled up a list consisting of musician and good friend to the Queen, Mark Smeaton, Henry Norris, and Henry’s groom, Brereton. All had different reasons and motivations for confessing; Mark was tortured and so confessed, despite the fact he was innocent, to stop the pain; Henry Norris for the same reason. It was then decided that Muse A would be put to death with a sword to the neck. Henry's Duke, however, Muse B, had fallen helplessly in love with Muse A and would do anything -- even if it meant treason -- to save her from execution.

@Hunter; All I've got is a decent greek mythology plot right now.

    .

    I. The gods of Olympus have been forgotten, treated as legendary myths and children's tales. Unrest was stirring in Olympus, and as humans turned their backs on what they now deemed 'greek mythology,' plans to destroy the earth and rebuild anew were brewing. Zeus, fearful for the humans, enlisted the help of Hecate and transformed each of the other gods into mere mortals, replacing their memories with false identities. They are now students, lawyers, shop owners, doctors, et cetera. People you wouldn't really give a second glance.

But something’s coming, something big, and ‘normal people’ can’t keep this at bay. And as memories of their immortal lives come back in fragments, the gods are starting to awaken.

  • Could you, please? I'm trying to at least get started on my dumb summer reading assignment for when school starts again.

  • esther coleman: Awesome sauce! Do you have any specific plots in mind?

@Birdy: Asdfjkl. Isn't Last of Us just the bomb? Definitely my favourite game of 2013.
Did you want to do an apocalyptic role-play based off of TLOU or do you just wanna.... I dunno, wing it?

    # ooc ;
i'm open to anything. i enjoy playing killers themselves, and a plot i did a while ago was where you played a detective or detectives, and i play a selection of character, who, throughout the role-play, your character attempts to narrow down to who committed the murder itself. we could also do a role-play where your character is, again, a detective, attempting to track down my character, a murderer.

but i can do ANYTHING. :3 i just love playing killers.

-- TLOU is my favorite game. period. omg Ellie and Joeys relationship so cute!
sorry, I haven't met many people who are fans! anyways- we could totally do it based off the game!
    [/justify][/fancypost]
  • esther : I think, to add a little twist, perhaps my character could be on the run for being accused of murdering a friend or someone he knows (which your character was the actual killer), and somehow, someway -- maybe on a dark street while my character is trying to withdraw a large sum of cash from an ATM via a stolen debt card -- he sees your character, recognises him/her, and tries to take the law into his own hands? And to add a little humour, maybe they eventually end up in police custody, handcuffed together, but manage to escape?

And until they can find a way to undo the handcuffs, my character is stuck following yours around and committing crimes just to keep himself from being killed. And when the handcuffs are off, he'll still stick with him/her because they're both wanted now and the murderer is sadly all he's got.

@Birdy: Ugh, I'm a dude and I was like... fan-boying over their relationship. Like, I never thought a relationship that didn't involve romance could be so cute and heartwarming.

ANYWAY! All fan obsessions aside, I can start the role-play if you really want me to. It might take me awhile since I'm trying to get to work on my essay. But it can be done.

Note: Did you want our characters to already know each other (kinda like Joel and Ellie) or do you want to have them meet in the role-play?

-- I know, right! ugh so many feels! c:
if it's ok if you could make the thread? I'm currently responding to my flooded messages! haha!
also, I think they should start off not knowing each other- and then go from there into the plot based off the game.

  • Hello. ^.^
I'd love to plot with you. I have a few ideas.
-With the wild west, we could do something along the lines of Native American X TownsPerson
    -I love Supernatural roleplays.
-If you've ever read the books, I would love to do a Maximum Ride type thread.
-A murder roleplay would be great too, and I have a little shortened version of a plot for it as well: My character has been accused of her estranged and abusive husband. She does kill him, but it's more of a self-defense type thing. (He tackles her, trying to stab her, and she shoves him off, and he lands on the knife. Something along those lines.) So, she's on the run from the law. She changes her look, and moves away. Your character, an FBI or a job associated with the law, sets out to track her down. But much later on in the role play, he knows of the real circumstances and tries to prove her innocence.
-I'd do a medieval roleplay as well.

  • heyo! [remember me? cx]
I would love to do a roleplay with you, as I don't have much muse for many things at the moment.
pretty much everything that you listed is totally fine with me--I will try to think of a good plot.

  • @Misfit: If it's what you most prefer, we can definitely do the Maximum Ride one. I've never read it, but I'm pretty sure I've got the gist of it. Otherwise, I love all of the ideas. Just choose what you're most up to.

@Camelot: 'Course I remember you, Cam!
You seem to like period settings, so if you'd like to do something medieval or fantasy related, I'm all ears to whatever ideas you have.

  • Well, for the Maximum Ride role play, I would've chose to play as characters from the books, hence, using their personalities. I'd love to do one, but since you haven't read the books, I don't want to make it complicated for you.
Would the Convict and FBI agent be good for you?
