Edward had been playing with a pen he'd found sitting on the desk beside his bed, seeming- well, very interested in it. As if he'd never seen one before. And, well- he hadn't.

His head lifted, his ruffled blonde locks waving off to the side with the movement. His bright sapphire eyes met yours as he blinked, and stared... Not a flicker of recognition. "Hello." He greeted softly, with a smile on his face. "Hello, hello." He repeated, knowing this to be the term for greeting people- The head injury, that had been the one thing he wouldn't recover from. At least, in terms of his memories. He'd lost them. But this was no normal case of amnesia, this was severe. He couldn't remember what certain objects were, couldn't remember slang terms or what they meant- sensations, smells, tastes, feelings, they were all new to him. He was like an innocent and clueless child again, stretched out into the body of a teenager. All he knew right at that moment was that his name was Edward. The "white coats" had told him so. "Your "name"?" He asked with a little bounce, excited to be using this new term he'd leaned. "I am Edward. Edward-" He pointed to himself almost frantically. He'd never had anyone but the white coats visit, and it got him very excited.

Tsubaki had been over ecstatic when she had received the phone calling hearing that Ed had awoke, she dropped what she was doing and at once made mother drive her into the hospital. She had stopped listening after she had heard that he would fine, taking off down the white hallways leaving her mother to deal with the doctor. By the time she reached the room she was slightly winded, but it was worth it to see her friend awake and moving active again. The dark haired female had parted her lips to speak but he beat her to the greeting, as her pale lavender one met his own. Almost at once she licked up on the fact that something was off. How come he said hello three times, Ed was dork but not that much of a one. Tsubaki took a few more steps into the room, leaving the door creamed open, and stared at her friend. There was seriously something wrong here...he reminded her of...well of the children she often babysat. The way he said his full name was completely off, even she never called him that unless he upset her. "Hey, are you feeling okay?" Stupid question she knew since he was in an hospital, but no one said anything about sickness. She stood next to the bed, placing a cool hand on his forehead to feel for a temp.

  • [ That's alright! <3 Sorry I was late too, I was sick for a few days! ;u;; ]

Edward shied away a little as this girl, who he had no idea was his best friend up until he'd been wiped, approached him. The fact that she hadn't answered making him uncomfortable, but of course, he wouldn't understand that feeling right then, in his current empty state of mind. "Hey, are you feeling okay?" He recognized that word "okay". The doctors had used it a few times. It was like fine, but to him, it meant "not hurt". Because he had been in quite a bit of pain in the head upon waking, and they'd given him painkillers. The thing in his head was pain, or hurt, in his world. And the medicine made him "okay". "Y-Yes," He stammered, seemingly entranced by her sudden touch on his forehead. No one had actually touched him since he'd woken up, so it was like a whole new sensation to him. "I'm okay! I'm-" He spread his hands out as wide as he could, having picked up on sizes and the like with all the containers the doctors were using. "This okay!" He looked up at her with his bright blue eyes, wondering why she didn't look very.. Happy. Or "smiling", in his mindset. Smiles were nice, he liked them a lot. With one pale, bony hand latching gently onto her wrist, he raised the other one up to her face- or, as close as he could get- and tried to stretch the left side of her mouth into what he thought of as a smile. "You're not smiling..."

  • (That is alright, glad you feel better.)
Well, He did not feel like he had a fever at all, but the confusion in her eyes remained the same as she watched her friend. He said he was alright, but she was having some serious doubts here. She had not failed to notice the way he flinched from her touch it wasn't like she was going to hurt him. The confusion grew worse as he explain just how okay he, he was using his hands to tell her. This was completely off why was he acting so childish? He could be a goofball, but this was just plain absurd. She was about ready to snap at him to stop playing around, but than he caught a hold of her wrist and began pulling on her cheek with a scrawny hand. "Stop that." She muttered, pulling away from him with a fiercer frown. They were in a hospital with a bunch of sick people why should she be smiling? "Did you bump your head or something? Your being weird." Tsubaki stared at him intensely, maybe they had him on some funky medication?

  • [ Thank you ; u ; I also managed to break my computer, so- //apologizes for the delay as we had to get an extender over here to use the internet// ]

Edward, having been able to sense the fact that she apparently didn't like what he was doing, quickly pulled his hand away. He looked as if he were concentrating, trying to remember the word he'd also been taught by the whitecoats-- Before she'd gotten here, they'd taught him a few simple terms and what they meant, as coming out of a coma with tons of things to say and yet-- no knowledge of what the words tumbling forth from his mouth even meant-- Was rather strange to him. "S-Sorry." He finally found the word he was looking for, figuring that he was saying the right thing. They said you used that when you hurt someone, or did a bad thing and you wanted to fix it. Or, that's what he'd taken in. Their exact words were kind of hazy. "Did you bump your head or something? You're being weird." He blinked, tilting his head as his blonde locks shifted lazily over his blue eyes. "W-Weird...?" He asked, feeling almost a guilty sensation at the frown on her face. She wasn't smiling like he'd planned, she was doing just the opposite. "What's a weird?" He obviously had it a little confused, as he'd mostly been asking what objects were and referred to the word she'd spoken as such. His shaky hand raised to his head, his delicate fingertips just barely brushing against his ruffled blonde locks. He didn't know what bump meant, either, but the word "weird" was more interesting in his opinion.

  • ( :( I know exactly how you feel I've broke my computer before. Well actually my brother broke my computer "accidentally" with hammer.)

Tsubaki pushed a hand through her raven coloured locks in one stress filled movement. The mind was trying make sense of this odd puzzle in front of her, but was drawing no reasonable explanation to what was going on. She crossed her arms over her chest while shifting the weight of her body to each foot. His questions utterly baffled her to a point where she lost her stiff posture and stared at him as if he had lost his mind...maybe that was it perhaps he had lost it. She turned her head as she heard the sharp snap of heels coming down the hallway, pausing to peer in the room were striking jaded eyes. They were attached to an older version of Tsubaki. The woman was often thought to be her older sister than her mother, she certainly did not portray any type of maternal air in her personality. She did have a beautiful smile that could light up a room, at the second she was showing it to the boy in the bed. "Hello there, sorry for interrupting but I need to borrow her for a few." The woman said, Tsubaki was giving her a troubled look for the smile on her mother's face was strained. That was never ever good since when her mother often smiled effortlessly, unlike her daughter. Tsubaki stared at her for a heartbeat before flickering her sight back to Ed. "I'll be right back." She promised before following the older woman out of the room.

  • [align=left]Edward simply tilted his head at the newcomer into the hospital room, his bright blue eyes glinting in the light and reflecting the confusion he felt inside. It was a strange feeling, he noted- not knowing what was going on, or why, or how, but it was simply-- Happening. No questions that had answers, no explanations, no anything. Just the situation handed to him on a silver platter. Not that he minded the company of these two friendly girls, of course- he was glad they'd come to visit him, whether or not he knew who they were or even what it meant for them to visit. He found it incredibly interesting that there were finally people who didn't wear white coats, or talk in some other language- in terms of the words they used more than anything else, of course. His curly blonde locks made their way down into his face as gravity took over them, his bright eyes blinking once, and then twice. "Hello there, sorry for interrupting but I need to borrow her for a few." Borrow? Edward wasn't quite sure how you "borrowed" somebody, but the smile on her face and her gentle tone was reassuring in a way that he hadn't felt since he'd woken up in this white-walled room. His gaze trailed down from the older woman and back to Tsubaki, a small little smile of his own painting itself onto his facial features. "I'll be right back." Edward knew what that meant. For a while, he'd always had a doctor or a nurse at his bedside, whether it to be in some attempt to teach him the things he'd lost, or just monitoring him. Whenever they left, they'd say that, and then they'd come back after a few minutes-- so she was gonna come back after a few minutes then? "Okay!" He immediately responded with what almost seemed like an excited little bounce. "I can't wait!" But wait, he could wait-- "Go quickly?" He asked her, not quite understanding the word "hurry", which would've been a better word to use-- but he was trying his best.
