  • Hawkpaw yaned loudly, was he dead? Slowly he stood up to take a better look at the forest. Yes, he was dead. But, where was everyone esle? "Hello?" He called, it was very lonely around here. Signing he flopped down back under the tree and scanned the terrain.

Then, he noticed a small flash of fur, and braced himself to pounce.

  • "Huh?" Hawkpaw noticed the flash of fur was another warrior. "Who are you?" He asked, sitting down again. "And, where am I?"

  • The tom-cat wasn't convinced, and then a flash of the dogs jaws shot back into his mind. "No! It can't be . . but. . ." He was atonished. He had failed to prove himself to be a real wildcat. Maybe he should of stayed in the twoleg house and live a fat kittypet live like his family?

  • SilverPaw stepped out, her fur as silver as the mineral itself, "You look to be an apprentice, like me, which clan or tribe are you from?" she asked softly

  • "Beetleclan." The tomcat replyed, blinking at the pretty she-cat. "I just . . Overeacted to my friends words and went and tryed to prove myself, and ended up here like my mother . . Wait, where is my mother?" He said, glancing around. Then he remembered, his mother did not know about Starclan, since he was born as a kittypet. It was his father who said those words to him after she died, but he never knew where his father went after that.

  • "another clan cat..." SilverPaw sighed, "I dont know where your mother is, or who she is for that matter but I'm sure you'll find her!" she spoke cheerily though there was a slight hint of sadness

  • Hawkpaw nodded with a forced smile at the she-cat. He did not want to tell her about the truth about his past, because he did not trust her. However how pretty she was, he would not tell her the secrets of his past.

  • "I'm SilverPaw, from the Tribe of Falling Stars. you?" SilverPaw asked kindly

  • "I already said that I'm from Beetleclan," Hawkpaw said, getting a bit annoyed that she repeated herself. "And, can you tell me what we do here instead of sit here and be bored all day?"

  • SilverPaw shrugged, "I dont really know, to be honest." then sat down and yawned, showing her fangs

  • Hawkpaws fur bristled in anger. "So we get to do nothing!?" He yowled in annoyance. "This is worst then cleaning the elders' den!"

  • Silverpaw giggled at his anger, "Its not all bad! its like one big clan, except you never grow up! You can play fight and all..." Silverpaw trailed off and her face saddened

  • "See what I mean? Where nothing like kits stuck in the nursery wailing for there mother to feed them every night." Hawkpaw said, grumpliy sitting down.

  • Silverpaw sighe, shaking off her thoughts

  • Noticeing her reaction, he stopped and glanced at her, trying to see what she was thinking about thourgh her eyes, then suddenly asked, "Whats wrong?"

  • "Nothing! Nothing at all!" Silverpaw mewed hastily

  • "Well..." SilverPaw began, "none of my family is her yet, not that I want their lives dhort, but it gets lonely! I could tell my brother anything and he would listen! but now, I'm stuck here forever without a sibling!"
