Sacha nodded, scooting to his left just a bit to give Bellum some room to sit. "I think she'll make it; she's strong. But if she doesn't, I know you'll be just as great a leader." The tom slightly smiled as he spoke, glancing at the tabby she-cat.

Bellum smiled a little and nodded. "Thanks. That really means a lot to me," she said quietly. She looked into his eyes, their bright amber irises comforting, and she felt something that she had never really felt before.
I hope I don't regret this, she thought. She looked up and gave his ear a swift, affectionate lick. She gave him one last glance, then stepped out of his den and sat by the fresh-kill, thinking about what she had just done.

Sacha continued to smile as he listened to Bellum but his smile faded after she licked his ear. He could feel his cheeks grow hot but the tabby had already left the den before he could respond. "You're welcome." He lightly murmured to himself before continuing to tend to his wounds.

Settling in the shade the Heir closed her eyes, her ears lowering. She couldn't fall asleep, but it was clear she was tired. Your other cuts will heal and disappear but your eye... there's no hope for it.. That was what the wolf-dog of the shooters told her, and she didn't doubt it. Opening her good eye she watched the Faction move about.
Slowly rising to her feet once more she moved to the side. Her stomach rumbled, but she ignored the hunger, lowering her eyes to her paws and tilting her head to the side lightly. She probably looked like a ghost, there to haunt the Faction until they finally let her rest. Shaking her head she looked up at the sky, a deep sadness piercing their amber-green colour.
