    Inuyasha grinned," I saw it about to snap, so I took that to my advantage." He looked at Nao," Just go home kid!"


    I stopped and my face was emotionless. I ran to the sink to check my face," When did I... get these marks...?" Kagome looked away," Sess--" "You lied to me?!" Haru looked at me and cried. My face was red," Maybe I should just leave you to this tengu...." Kagome pleaded," Rika, your father had to watch over your mother, Rin, don't you know how hard it was on her? I had to take you, as my brother-in-law pleaded with me, as he never does, I am pleading with you."

    Nao stubbornly folded her arms. "No, not until I win." Nao pulled out a bone and smiled at it before putting it away. "How about I help you out with the tengu?"


    Ren morphed back into his human appearance. He put his mask back on and watched as a raven dropped a sheath into his hand. "Are you really going to believe? She did lie to you, for a very long time." Ren slowly unsheathed the katana and held the black bladed weapon at his side. The wolf demon held him off as long as she could. I must make this quick. Ren pointed the sword Kagome then at Haru. "Choose who dies."

    Inuyasha sighed," Don't pull anything sneaky okay?" He sheathed the Tetsaiga.


    I gulped and finally I growled," Why would I have to choose?" My face became smug and I said," Neither one of them shall die, for now. If you would leave them alone, I will handle this later, go after some other human or half demon, you can't handle them." My eyes flashed and I prepared my sword for if he was to attack. "No one will bother us if we leave." My smile became even more confident. It was almost scary what I had turned into.

    "I won't pull anything, I swear." Nao picked up Masao and carried him into the house.


    Ren moved the katana away from Haru and Kagome. "I can't handle them? I could slice their heads off with a flick of my wrist." He did notice Nao enter the house and he knew Inuyasha would come in the house at any second. I'm surrounded, I can't take them all on...not in here anyway. Ren sheathed the katana. "I'll leave peacefully."

    Inuyasha followed Nao and saw the situation.


    I looked at Ren," I welcome you to fight me anytime.... Tengu." My eyes flashed in the sun as it went down through the hills. Anger spread through my face as I saw Inuyasha. But Kagome stopped me whispering something into my ear and I collapsed into tears.

    "But before I leave I some parting words you. I will find the shikon jewel and make this world plunge into darkness and chaos." Ren disappeared in a flurry of black feathers. The raven on the branch dropped Kagome's bow and arrows, before flying in search of its master. Nao remembered her father mentioned something about the shikon jewel, something about koga having a sacred shard in both of his legs.

    Slowly Inuyasha was stunned," You're... That b******s daughter?" He looked away.


    I frowned, but then looked at Kagome," Make sure he doesn't find the Jewel, but I'll be watching...." Quickly, I gathered some of my clothes and packed up, holding my katana in my one hand. " I'm not staying here, I'm leaving." Kagome looked sad and then she turned away. Haru cried, but I said," I still have the fake jewel, so I'm going to find the real one... Without you guys." Walking away, I felt like I should go visit dad, but he lived far away, so it was difficult, the next best thing was mother. I headed towards town to mom's house.

    Masao watched her leave, before turning to Haru's parents."We'll watch over." Masao told Kagome and Inuyasha. Nao picked up the chubby tanuki and raced out the door. It didn't take her long to catch up with Rika, she didn't need jewel shards to be fast. Nao stopped walking and walked along side of Rika with her hands behind her head. Masao hung from her back. "So where are we going, new buddy."

    Haru cried and Kagome carefully set him in bed to go to sleep. Kagome and Inuyasha quarreled while Haru slept.


    I glanced at them," What do you mean, 'new buddy'? I never said I was going to get friendly with you..." My eyes glinted with slight remorse, but I kept walking.

    "We don't have to be friends, but I'm still going to travel with you." Nao put her hands down by her side. "Anyway are you seriously going to leave your little brother behind? I know its dangerous out here, but he does love you."

    " He's a six year-old! He doesn't belong on the battlefield!" I looked at Nao," By the way, what's your name? I told you mine, but I never heard yours...." My eyes caught on Masao, who was lazy. " Maybe you should just let him walk on his own, he's fat."

    "Who said he was going to fight? My name is Nao and this Masao." Nao scratched her ear and smiled as she tail wagged like crazy. Her father knew where her sweet spot is it and she discovered it not too long ago. Masao eye twitched in irritation when Rika called him fat. "I prefer the term fluffy or chubby. Fat is offensive and its not my fault I'm this big, I get it from father. Besides...I'm so tired."

    I sighed," So I'm supposed to carry around that little whiney baby in battle? He can't do anything! Although the fact that his growth process is faster than humans and most demons is amazing, he could be ten by the end of the year!" I ignored Masao and finally reached my mother's house," Ah... Wait a sec... Lady Rin! Mother!" I saw a fluffy scarf dragging into the bedroom. " Dad? Sesshomaru?" Little Jaken 'shhh'd me and I walked into the room. Rin was sick and in bed, with Sesshomaru in the room looking at me as if I was unwanted.


    My glance rested upon mother," What happened to her?" There was no reply. He got up leaving flowers, and left through the front door.

    That's cold, he didn't even say hi. Nao studied Rin from a safe distance. It's not because she didn't want to get sick (demons can get sick anyway) she just didn't want to get in the way or get in trouble by Sesshomaru. "Masao is a good luck Tanuki." Nao pulled the chubby tanuki off her back and held him up. "He brings good fortune and health. Maybe he can help out."

    Jaken scrambled after him and I just sighed," That 'chubby' tanuki could help?" My eyes glittered with a strand of hope.


    Haru whined as he woke up," Big sissy!!!! Wan go with you!!"
