[tt]The Camelot
A state-of-the-art space station, built to house the representatives of the planets that make up the Confederation. Each planet sends one representative and one general, and they vote on matters, from political agendas to battle strategies.
The Confederation was formed 100 years ago, and the opening of the Camelot is supposed to usher in a new wave of peace and prosperity. But when you put a dozen members of conflicting cultures inside a spaceship, something will go wrong. The only question is when.

Taldera - The Desert Planet
Taldera is an inhospitable planet, with three suns and little respite from the heat. They have only one moon, a large thing that rarely appears alone in the sky, but often gives a solar eclipse. Solar Eclipse days are festival days on Taldera.
Thus, the Talderans are hardy, practical people who don't take no for an answer. They are mistrusting peoples, and it takes a lot to earn their respect or loyalty, but once you do, they will not waver or betray you. They are calm and not easily angered, but hold grudges. They value all life, and are often mediators. They also rarely goof around, so to make one laugh is a feat.
The Talderans are a smaller race, with darker eyes, hair, and skin. They value beautiful things, and often wear beautiful but simple robes. They are excellent craftsmen of pottery, jewelry, and clothes.

Cress - The Ocean Planet
Cress is a mainly ocean planet, with a few scattered islands. Cress orbits a hot blue sun, making life on the islands muggy and unfriendly, so the planet does not have many visitors abovewater. The vast oceans are manipulated by 6 moons, introducing strange tides.
The people of Cress dwell underwater, and cannot breathe oxygen as the other members of the Confederation do. While they must where a special adapter in order to live in the Camelot, the people of Cress are laid-back, go-with-the-flow kind of people. They trust and forgive easily and are quite open and friendly, but can also be quite manipulating and prejudiced. They are not someone you want to trust with your secrets because of their big mouths, nor would you want them at your back during a fight, for they are flighty and easily change sides, both in war and in love.
The people of Cress are tall and limber, with pale skin, varying mulitcolored hair, and large, dark eyes. They wear little clothing, though always enough to be decent, and of what they have it is plain and tight, as they are always ready to go for a swim. Cress exports many pearls and precious stones, oil, and many fish.

Olmafi- The City Planet
Olmafi is a very advanced planet, and long ago all the surface of the planet was covered by the one great city known as Olmafi City. It orbits a calm yellow star, and has two moons.
The Olmafins are a serious people, and very diverse. It is hard to predict just what an Olmafin will do, but it will usually be in the best interest of themselves. However, they are intelligent, and will realize when something is for the good of many, at the expense of a few. They also tend to be a bit cowardly, but have a large army, for they are paid well, and most Olmafins are hot-blooded. Despite these faults, Olmafins are kind, curious, and excellent craftsmen of machinery and other engineering feats. It was they who built the Camelot.
Olamfins vary in looks, from the darkest skin color to the palest, from platinum blonde to pitch black hair, and from grey to almost black eyes. Most are average in height, and average in weight. Their clothing is always very finely crafted, and many wear jewelry.

Ika - The Forest Planet
It is difficult to see the sky through all the trees on Ika, but they have a single yellow star and two moons, one of which is also tree-covered and a colony of Ika.
Ikans are considered backwards or barbarians by most of the rest of the Confederation. These honest, good people are the traditionalists, sure, but they are loyal to the end and not to be forgotten. Ikans are sensible and practical, always down to earth. They are typically a bit hot-headed, and will not back down from a fight. However, while adept at strategy, they are not the most educated.
Ikans are tall, limber people, with pale skin and brown-red hair. Their eyes are very rarely blue, more typically green or brown. They wear practical clothes, but when tradition calls, they know how to dress up. They export lumber as well as furs and weapons.

Huea - The Cloud Planet
Huea was a colony of a long-forgotten planet, and it's cities float in the air, for there is not much land. It orbits a red star, and has a small moon, but often has comets in the sky.
Hueans are much like their planet, flighty, careless, dreamy. Much like the Cressans, they are prone to switching sides, but will only do so if they think the other side is going to win. They are calm, but will hold a grudge if they or another Huean is harmed. While occasionally selfless, they are very much self-preservationists. Huea comes first for them. They despise dirtiness, and the best healers come from there. Hueans are intelligent peoples, and love to show off, as they are often arrogant.
Hueans have tanned skin with often light colored hair and eyes. They love finery and clothes, and thus are usually the best dressed of the planetary representatives. Hueans export medical supplies, art, and small shuttle-ships.

General:
Qixim - The Volcanic Planet
Qixim's surface is rocky and black, with streams of lava often bursting from the ground, and two hot sons blazing above. Because of this, Qixims typically live underground in special, non-volcanic areas. Only they know where these areas are, so visitng unannounced is ill-advised.
Qixims are known to be hotblooded and fiery. They will explode if someone looks at them the wrong way, but besides that, are typically good people to be around. While stubborn, they have a lot of money from the mines in Qixim, and are very generous. However, the hold grudges and can be very manipulating, so staying on their good side is important. They are very full of themselves, and do not like to be wrong, for they are a planet of perfectionists.
Qixims are tough, with typically short, dark hair against pale skin. Their eye color varies as much as Olmafin's do, and they are average like those people as well. Most of the money on Qixim comes from the mines, which hold stones and gems of all kinds. They also make superb weapons.

Noa Haminatu of Taldera, Representative
Noa stood in front of one of the windows on the Camelot, gazing out at the stars. They were quite beautiful, but far different than the stars of her home planet. She had not yet adjusted to Camelot time, as it had only opened yesterday, and so she had been up for a little while. She wondered if any of the other members of this strange new place had encountered the same problem.
She sighed, but then straightened. There was no use in moping when she could be doing something productive. Like finding the blasted kitchens...
Her stomach rumbled at that thought, and she scowled at it before striding down the hall. Her robes swished about her with elegance and poise she worked very hard to achieve. Being one of the youngest members on the Council also meant she was subject to a lot of criticism, but if she gave them nothing to criticize, all the problems would be solved.
She sighed again, inwardly. Suns, she missed home. At home it wouldn't matter if she went into work in her pajamas, for she was usually the only one there, and she trusted the others there enough to be relaxed about them.
But here... She had almost no one to trust. Shaking the depressing thoughts from her head, she continued walking, slipping a loose strand of hair behind her ear as she did so. As she rounded the next corner in her search for the kitchens, she collided with someone, falling to the ground with the force of the impact.

Bartlet Jonpoon of Cress, Guardsman of the Camelot
Barry leaned against a wall, bored. When he'd applied to the job they had made it sound exciting, meeting peoples of the other planets of the Confederation, wearing a handsome uniform, eating unrivaled food. But here he was, stuck in a hallway, with nothing to do but play games on his airscreen.
He didn't even have a buddy to talk to. Gah. He ran a hand through his hair as he shifted positions on the wall. His band-new spandex suit that was much too tight for comfort squeaked noisily every time he moved. Or maybe he was just imagining it. The silent hallway allowed him to hear often unnoticed things, but he was starting to be convinced he'd imagined half of them.
Turning around, he leaned his head on the wall, and stared down at the carpet below. Next time he was off duty, he was getting a permanent marker and drawing on here. No one ever came down here anyways.
At least, not yet. Maybe it was something important. Maybe those doors at the end of the hallway were the doors to the council room. The first Council meeting was today... He puffed up with pride at that thought, all the Council members going by, seeing a fancy pancy guard in a fancy pancy, albiet tight, suit. He grinned.
