    The sound of a gun shot was loud. Something hit her. Melanie looked down and saw blood seeping out of a freshly made wound in her stomach. She felt herself start to fall. Melanie hit the ground, blood now making a puddle. She heard sirens and saw flashing lights. The man who shot her was trying to run away. Someone caught him and took him over to a car in what looked like handcuffs. A tall figure then approached her and kneel down beside her. Melanie was holding the wound so she didn't suffer from major blood loss.
    "It's alright, Melanie. I'm here. I'm going to get you to a hospital." a very familiar voice said. Melanie looked at who it was. It was her knight in shining amour. Sherlock Holmes.
    "Stay by my side, Sherlock." Melanie said before losing all consciousness.

    Melanie dabbed at her face with a handkerchief. That memory just happened to come back to her at the funeral of her lover. She had already been crying and that memory sparked more tears. Sherlock had saved her life when she was about to fall in love with Death. Why couldn't see save him then? Melanie was devastated. After laying a bouquet of red, black, and white roses on the beautifully craved coffin, it lowered into the ground. She dabbed at her tears again. She felt like a widow in morning wit all of the black she was wearing.
    The crowd of people started to disperse. Melanie was the last to go. She turned around and started to head back to her car. She went into her little clutch she had and pulled out her car keys once near her car. She looked up and saw a familiar figure in the window in her car. She quickly brushed away her tears and turned around. A knot formed in her throat.
    "Sh-Sherlock?!" Melanie said, shock plain as day in her voice.

  • Yes, but one question first. How exactly would you like me to start? My brain isn't functioning properly right now.

  • ooc--- I dun care. If you need to reread what I said, go ahead.

  • Alright! On with the show!

    It had been quite a hard decision for Sherlock. He had to leave his beloved lady behind to escape the danger that had aroused while he was still 'alive'. Everything had settled down, for now, and it was safe for him to return. He decided on surprising Melanie on the day of his funeral. He watched as she stood, dressed in all black, crying for him. It saddened him slightly, believe it or not. Then he saw that she was returning to her car. He waited till she was at the car door to reveal himself. Sherlock gave a small smile to her when he saw her surprise. "Hello, love." He muttered.

    Melanie threw her arms around his neck. A hand went to the back of his neck while her other arm just wrapped around it. She was shocked. But the bastard! He left her mourning and crying and he was probably laughing at her. She didn't care though. She was just glad he wasn't actually dead. If he was actually dead, she didn't know what she would do.
    "You bastard." Melanie said as her way of saying, "Thank god you're not dead!"

  • Sherlock smiled even more as she hugged him. He wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close. "Quite rude to someone who just came back to life." He said, using a sarcastic remark. Which was very rare for him. "Did you Miss me?"

    "Of course. You left me here weeping and stuff and then what happened a year ago came back to me." Melanie said, planting a sweet and loving kiss on his lips.

  • Sherlock smirked and kissed her back. He pulled back to look her in the eyes. "I hope you understand why I had leave." He murmured, sighing. He really did miss her, even though it was hard for him to say it.

    "It had to do with my brother, if I'm not mistaken. He... took his life as well, but I guess it is for the best. He doesn't have to hurt anymore people and we didn't have to be in danger." Melanie said. She understood why Sherlock had done it. It was to protect his friends and her because her brother did threaten to take away her life.

  • "Yes, that is correct." Sherlock sighed, nodding. He stroked the side of her face with the back of his hand, gently wiping the remaining tears from her cheeks. "But I'm back for good. Maybe."

    "Please don't say things like that. If you died for real, I'm not sure what I would do. I love you too much to lose you again." Melanie said, some tears running down her cheeks. She loved Sherlock a lot and he already saw how much she was hurt when faking his death.

  • Sherlock brought Melanie closer him. He wiped her tears away and cupped the side of her face. "Don't worry, my dear. Until that day comes, you have nothing to worry about." He said, smiling at her and kissing the top of her forehead.

    Melanie smiled and looked up at him. She really examined him now. Sherlock looked worked, worn out, and tired. Her smiled fell. She didn't like to see Sherlock all over worked and stuff. It upset her.
    "Mr. Holmes, you need rest, therefore we will be going back to my place. Plus, you need somewhere to stay because it's not your time to tell the others yet."

  • Sherlock sighed, looking around. "I suppose you're right. It's been a long day for you and me both." He muttered, looking back down at her.

    {Low muse.}

    ooc-- It's alright. I may or may not be planning on having a romance scene.
    "Come." Melanie said as she opened the car door for him. After he was in, she closed it after him and got into the driver's seat. She put the keys in the ignition and turned them, the car roaring to life. Melanie smiled and drove off to her house.

  • {Oh, ok. X3 Do you wanna timeskip to where they are in the house?...}
