Ren walked with her in awkward silence, suddenly thinking of his lost love one; Ayumi. His emerald green eyes darted to the ground as he continued to walk, I love you, Ren. Those were her dying words, and she saved them all once she sacrificed herself to prevent the beast from breaking its seal. Why couldn't he have stopped her? But deep down he knew what she did was to protect everyone. Yet at least from now on the Tsuwabuki's had changed they're ways, at least there wouldn't be more sacrifices in they're family.

While Ren was thinking of his loved ones, I was reflecting on my past, how I met everyone I knew now and how I was looking forward to getting home whenever that was. What if I never escape? My face pales at the though, but I shake my head slightly, shoving that thought away. I would get out of here, or die trying to get back to my friends.

He warned as he got into a fighting stance, the footsteps ceased as a large cat like creature landed behind them with a loud thump! It was standing on its hind legs, a big grin appeared on its face, its tail wishing back and forth like a pendulum.

"Stay back!" I yell to Ren, seeming angry but really just pumped up for a fight. I tak a swing at the cat's face and again at it's neck, my gloves making small meow noises as it makes contact with the large animal. I could easily take down a grown man, or high schoolers, or really any human bigger than me, but I'm not sure about an animal. I guess I was trying it right now though.

Ed continued to watch for the source of the growling, wary of what it could be. "I said there weren't any monsters, but it doesn't mean that it can't be something just as bad."
