The young warrior was to be seen strolling through the territory with measured steps, each thrum of his paw matching the pulse of his lungs. He moved at a rather slow pace for a feline, only getting a few inches or a foot every minute or so. But this was no surprise, due to the fact he was currently competing in the scavenger hunt. Ah, yes, a competition that would reveal just how sharp his observation and location skills were. It was a damn shame he didn't have any powers that would be of assistance in his case, and he was probably already dragging behind thanks to his lack thereof. Oh well, he was simply your everyday mediocre feline, it wasn't entirely his fault that he was not blessed with some supernatural powers that everybody seemed to have nowadays. He would be completing this the 'old school' way, it seemed. Rolling his shoulders, the bicoloured tom cat paused for a brief moment to sit and scratch behind his ear, in which a certain object caught his view. A feather, not too far off. He completed scratching the pestering itch behind his ear and then stood up, flexing his muscles. This one had been relatively easy now that he considered it. Nonetheless he removed it from beneath the leaf and inspected the pattern. What he saw was quite the disappointment- the feather he had at hand was not that of a magpie, but a sleek grey and white feather. Probably that of a mourning dove's and not of the specified avian. He gave a displeased grunt and flicked his paw. The light grey wing fluttered down, before getting picked up by the wind and drifting. Driven by some cat-like instinct, he leaped after it, the disturbance in the wind from his paws pushing it further out of his reach. The bicolored tom cat pushed himself off of the ground with a burst of his hind legs and slammed his paws together against the thin feather, before gravity caught up to him. He curled up tightly in a ball before he hit the ground and rolled for a moment. As the world spun in circles, he saw something in the corner of his eye- a nest, a bird's nest! His legs splayed out, feather abandoned, and caught himself, stumbling to his paws.

What a kit-like thing for him to do, but as he staggered over to the tree that held the bird's nest, he watched as a black and white bird fluttered from its midst and flew off. A magpie! Oh, it was his lucky day! Now all he had to do was find a feather, which was certain to be in there. He wriggled his hindquarters in preparation before kicking up off the ground similar to the way he had before, his claws latching into the soft bark and gripping tightly, his hind claws soon following suit. A couple of pieces of bark fluttered away, but he held his grip. Taking a breath to steady himself, the bicolored male threw a single paw up while still latched on with his other paws, and his hind leg followed. So far so good, it seemed that the odds were in his favour today. He sniffed, and continued. Soon enough he was making a steady, yet rapid, ascent up the tree. Spotting the branch, he shimmied his way over and then clambered onto it, hold on with all claws and keeping low so he remained balance, tail stiff behind him. He looked down, and was shock to see that the ground was very far away. What if he was to fall? Would he break a limb? He could easily break his neck. The thought was truly terrifying to the bicolored male, and he sucked his breath in. [i]Don't think about it, he advised himself, whiskers twitching. He slowly crept towards the nest, which was neaty tucked between four outstretched but thick branches an masked by leaves. Pushing the leaves away, he spotted the nest. Holy crap! There was three chicks in there, chirping insistently at him. At that moment Bulletproof was not entirely sure what to do with himself, because children were not something he found much interest in on a daily basis. He started to step back when he saw it, a shiny feather with a white semi-circle on the edge of it, fine and with nice sheen. A magpie feather- what he had come here for! He stuck his paw in carefully, and --

[b]"Ah!" He jerked his paw back and swayed a bit, his toe throbbing where the chick had bitten him. He shuddered and internally slapped himself. Scared by a bunch of chicklets! That was pathetic! He wasn't going to let himself get degraded like that. Biting his tongue, he roughly stuck his paw in the nest and retrieved his feather. There! The chicks let out loud squawks of terror. He grumbled at them. "Shut up, you pesky animals." He didn't want to bother with them. A sudden screech caught his attention, and looking up, he saw the mother magpie diving towards him. Shit! Gripping the feather tightly in his jaws, Bulletproof hurriedly shifted over to the trunk and hurriedly attempted to descend the tree. But he wasn't the fastest tree climbing cat, and soon the mother bird came at him with fury in her gaze. She bat at him with her leaves madly, yowling like a madwoman and pecking furiously at him. He snarled and growled back at her, but he was more focused on getting safely to the ground. He lifted a paw and briefly attempted to swat at the magpie- bad mistake. She screeched and bit his paw, and he shrieked, tucking his paw in and loosing his balance. He fell backwards, prepared to meet his death, though was surprised to hit the ground only seconds later. He was on the ground! He had only fallen about three feet. He didn't hesitate to speed off with his prize between his jaws, the magpie having no interest in chasing because he didn't have a chick and wasn't near her nest.

The warrior proudly deposited his feather in his hole, burying it safely. Item one achieved.
