Alexia decided to remain hidden, which ended up being a good choice as the Carcharodontosaurus stepped into the meadow. Tired, he slumped down on the ground to rest. Alexia had the advantage now, hidden in the tall grass. She slowly and silently crept up to the Carcharo from behind. Just as the huge beast noticed her presence, Alexia lunged out and leaped onto the beast's enormous back. The Carcharo couldn't get back on his feet with the extra weight, and couldn't reach the Saurophaganax with his jaws. She now had free access to his vulnerable neck, and swung her jaws into his flesh like a hatchet. Alexia didn't want to stay in the fight for long, and quickly leapt away to the safety of the trees. The Carcharo managed to get up, but was clearly dizzy as he walked into a tree.
"You ought to leave my territory," Alexia hissed at the other predator.
"You, y-you're just a coward. Show yourself! Let me see you!" he screeched with fury.
"Jealous of my natural ability to camouflage?" she taunted.
"You're cheating! Only strength should determine who wins and who loses territorial disputes!" he growled, trying to follow her voice.
"Nature is bound by no rules, wise guy. I win if you leave or die. You're lucky I didn't bite your neck as hard as I could, so I'd suggest you get lost"
The Carcharodontosaurus stood tall and let out a final deafening roar before clumsily running out of Alexia's newly claimed territory. She felt proud of herself; she had been a roaming loner ever since she left her pack.
