    "Of course." Renee said, her enthusiasm washed out by deep thought. For now, she would habe to keep Riolu in his pokeball. She didn't have another choice.
    Grabbing a starter kit and nodding her thanks to professor Sycamore, Reneeshifted through her bag. Pulling out a Great Ball, she returned Riolu silently.
    "Alright, let's get moving!"

    OOC: Can the Pokemon War be considered canon?


    IC: "No. My father left me a pokeball before he died." Damion said, "And I caught a Fletchling." Damion continued walking through the grass and looked for wild pokemon.

    OOC ~ Sure


    IC ~ "Really? How did your father die?" She asked him and looked around in the grass. What's that? She wondered as she saw a flash of orange among the grass. "Flare, go!" She released her grasp on her Fennekin who leaped from her hands. "De?" The orange Pokémon yelped. "Scratch!" She instructed and Flare scratched at the Pokémon. A Dedenne got tossed out of the grass. "Who's that Pokémon?" She wondered aloud and held out her Pokédex at the Pokémon. "Dedenne, the Antenna Pokémon. Type: Electric/Fairy. Other data unconfirmed." The Pokédex closed. "It's so cute! Your mine Dedenne! Flare use ember!" Gabriella instructed and a small blast of fire shot at the Dedenne. Dedenne was pushed back from the blast but got up fast and ran quickly over to Flare and leaped. In midair, Dedenne rubbed it's cheeks and sparks came from the little Pokémon's cheeks and as it made contact with Flare, it nuzzled Flare and Flare was electrocuted by the adorable attack, nuzzle. "Flare, Ember once more!" She instructed her Pokémon once she had regained her paws. The ember attack hurled right at the Dedenne. "Dene!" The Dedenne yelped as the ember collided with it. Dedenne fell to to ground and as it tried to regain it's paws, Gabriella pulled out a Pokéball from her bag. "Go Pokéball!" She announced and hurled the Pokéball at Dedenne. The Pokéball hit Dedenne and it was sucked into the Pokéball by a red beam. One shake, two shakes, three shakes, clink! She had caught her first Pokémon!

    OOC: Thanks! And sorry for the short post, I am kinda tired. I might be on a little longer though.


    IC: "He died in the Pokemon war. Killed in action." Damion said. He then watched the battle and smiled at the end of it. "Good job!" Damion said. Puff slithered back onto Damion's neck.

    "Thanks." Gabriella walked over and picked up Dedenne's Pokéball. "That was a very noble way to die. My uncle fought in that war. He nearly didn't make it, but he's alive. He can't walk ever again though." Gabriella connected. She knew how hard it was to watch a family member get hurt or injured, unable to do anything about it. "Dedenne come on out!" She threw the Pokéball into the air and Dedenne was released from it. "Dene!" It cheered as it was released. "We're going to be good friends." She greeted her new Pokémon. "Fennekin!" Flare hopped happily and in greeting.


    OOC ~ It's fine, I'm pretty tired myself.

    OOC:


    IC: "Yeah. Well let's not dwell on the past." Damion said. Damion thought about something, then grabbed a pokeball and tossed it out just in front of him. The pokeball released the Fletchling. Fletchling chirped and flew up to Damion's shoulder. Damion smiled and continued walking. A few minutes later he encountered a pokemon. A weedle popped out of the grass and attacked Damion. Puff screeched and slammed the weedle to the ground.


    "Puff use Dragon Rush." Puff did as instructed and rushed the Weedle. "Go pokeball!" Damion said, throwing a pokeball at the Weedle. One shake. Two shakes. Three shakes. Yes! He caught it.

    "Oh." Renee raised her eyes to the sky, smiling slightly. Excitement exploded within her. She could answer such a question now, and it wouldn't be fanatsizing. "I like steel, ice, and fighting types. But I plan on getting a little bit of each." She searched the starter kit, pulling out the empty badge case.
    "I really want to defeat all the gyms, and maybe the Elite Four. It seems a bit... big, but if I had the chance, that's what I'd do."

    "That sounds cool I might challenge the gyms but I'm more interested in be-fending pokemon." Lira sad as she stroked Corina's muzzle. Lira walked walked out the door with Corina.

    Gabriella smiled. "Nice catch!" she commented. She walked along with Damion, Flare in her arms and Dedenne on her shoulder. "We're not doing bad for just starting our journey." She looked over her shoulder. She could see Professor Sycamore's lab in the distance. Her and Damion were just about to leave Lumious City.

    OOC:


    IC: Damion could see the next town in the distance. "Thanks! The next town is up there. By the way." Damion said. Damion walked, but strangely encountered no pokemon on the way there. Damion stepped in and didn't look at the sign. He looked for the pokemon center and jogged toward it.


    "Let's go!" Damion laughed. He walked in and pat Puff on the head. He put him into a pokeball.


    "Can you heal my pokemon?" Damion asked. The nurse smiled and said, "Yes!" She took his pokeballs and put them on the machine and healed them after a few seconds. He was given back his pokemon, he quickly released Puff so Puff could wrap around Damion's neck.

    Other: (Pokedex) He received Eevee as a birthday present from his parents before they died when he was five, he then lived with his grandfather untill he could go on his own and train and catch Pokemon. He doesn't like gym battles so he just travels and tries to catch different Pokemon.

    You can have an Eevee for a partner if you want, like if you got Eevee for a present from your parents or something like that. You don't have to select a partner from Professor Sycamore, it's up to you. Also, not accepted until you read the rules.(I put in a code word to see if people read the rules)

    So pretty much everyone is going to Professor Sycamore's lab to receive a Pokédex and travel with a partner or in a group with the others completing the Pokédex(Travel buddie/buddies are optional) and some people have already set out on their journeys.

    (Ok, so, who is going to receive their Pokemon? -or should Himura be encountered while a group is traveling to the next gym? I would like it if they meet him in a Pokemon center while he is healing his Eevee or while they are looking to catch a Pokemon.)

    Go to the lab to receive a Pokédex first. There are still some trainers there like Tanako, Kris, Carter, etc. Like ¾ of the trainers are still there or are on their way. How you meet up with others(optional) is up to you. Gabriella and Damion are in the next town in the Pokémon center and Lira and Renee are right outside the lab. The rest are all in the lab or have yet to arrive.

    Himura was holding his Eevee's pokeball, his Eevee next to him as they ran to the Pokemon lab to get the pokedex. He looked at the front of the lab when he got there, panting. His Eevee hoped onto his shoulders before he started inside. He shyly waited at the door. Looking at the professor. He whispered to Eevee, "Sh-should I walk up to her?" His Eevee then nodded. He cautiously walked up to the professor. "I'm Himura. Um, may I have a pokedex please," he said when he got the chance.

    Professor Sycamore looked down at Himura. "Yes of course." He reached into his bag. "Kris, no. Tanako, no. Himura, wait, that's Carter, ahh here it is." The Professor pulled out a closed, red Pokédex. "Point your Pokédex at a Pokémon to receive some data on that Pokémon. You can't see all the data unless you own or once owned that Pokémon. Click this blue button to show your trainer card. Click the button again to close your trainer card. To register for the Pokémon League, give nurse Joy your Pokédex when you are at a Pokémon center. Take this starters kit also." He handed Himura the bag with an empty gym badge case incase he wanted to challenge the gyms, 5 Pokéballs, and a Potion as well as his Pokédex. "I wish you well on your journey."
