Daniel wasn't sure what his opinion was on girls yet. Yes, there were some rather pretty girls that did catch his eye but not really his heart. Which wasn't exactly their fault - he wasn't the most likable of cats and the most open. In fact he was quite reserved and that sort of hid his charm. One girl in particular did stick on his mind for quite a while, and she was younger than he. And that was Watcher. Something about the calico kitten did draw him in. Perhaps it was her immaturity and cuteness. He didn't know.

  • They had not spoken much - in fact, they'd not had more than one encounter together. Because of that, Watcher had long forgotten just who Daniel was, his name lost among the faces she'd met within her short life. It would be upsetting for the tom to know that she had forgotten him - but there was still the chance that, upon resting her eyes upon him, she would remember him. It was yet to be proven, of course.

Laying in the shade of the rocks not far from the nursery, the half-asleep kitten breathed slow breaths, not bothering to fight to stay awake. It was better to sleep, in her eyes, than to stay awake. If she slept, she could be out all night away from her siblings. That way, she could be away from her family. She needed to. She needed others to love her; others who wanted her, who wouldn't replace her as her mother had with her younger siblings.

Maybe Wingspan'll be my friend some day.
