    Nope~ Japanese is my primary language but I am pretty fluent with speaking English, grammar though not so much...

    Yeah, grammar is hard. English is my primary language and I still don't get things sometimes! :) Don't feel bad. We all do it. But Japanese is pretty hard too. My friend is learning it and I tried, but failed miserably. I've just been learning Spanish now for three years and I know a little Portuguese, as well.

    I have learned Spanish. But the language doesn't excite me :<
    I really like learning European languages or even some of the Asian languages near me as well. But hey at least I am pretty good at spelling in English ^^

    Yeah that's something! It's mandatory for me to take at least three years of a consecutive language so I chose Spanish. I would also like to learn Portuguese, French :), Italian, as well as Japanese and Icelandic. Anyway, so have you guys started writing? I'm so excited for these because I love fantasy!

    There's a few ways you could go about that.


    A) Introduce abruptly starting with dialogue and the character's name. (i.e. "Tobias Eaton," his father called, obviously angry for some reason.) Sorry, I'm in a Divergent mood. :)


    B) Start with scenery. Introduce the character when they wake up and describe their room. That shows a little about them already before they start talking. If it's first person, have them wake up and then someone can come in and startle them. Be creative!


    C) Or my personal favorite if you have action, have the main character be chased somewhere or start out with the dream they're having.
