Juniper nodded, "I'm Juniper and this is Samotar." She motioned to the she-cat behind her.

"Hello Juniper and Samotar. I've also been meaning to go for a hunt. Could I tag along with your little group?"

Juniper smiled, "Yeah, sure."

"Thank you, Juniper and Samotar." Gale said, smiling back. She turned her deep amber, almost red, gaze to the surrounding forest, scanning it. -
Samotar flicked her tail in greeting to Gale. "I'll try to get some shrews and mice." She said, an accent covering her speech, but it was still comprehendable.

Gale dipped her head, turning to a different part of the forest. "I'll try at getting a few birds. Who knows, I might get an owl!"

Juniper smiled, "And I'll just look for prey to hunt. Maybe I'll find some fish!" She trotted off towards the sound of water.

Gale smiled, then padded off and leapt up into the trees.

Juniper sat down by the river and glanced at the water. She could see fish in there. Juniper darted a paw in, aiming for the fish closest to her. She missed. Juniper hissed and got ready to try again.

Gale, meanwhile, saw an owl holding a mouse in it's talons. She smiled, then leapt at it, biting the neck. The owl fell limp, but both it and Gale fell down.....right next to Juniper.

Juniper heard some commotion overhead and looked up to see...Gale and an owl!! She quickly jumped out of the way, hoping Gale would be okay and unhurt.

Gale yelped, landing on her side dazed. "I...I got t-the owl....we can ea-eat."

Samotar came out from a patch of brambles with three shrews hanging by their tails from her mouth. She placed them down next to the owl and said "Oh, I managed to find a few shrews in the brambles." She turned around and took a stray thorn from her back. "My fur keeps the thorns from going into my skin."

"That darned owl gave me a few scratches. This one on my face is pretty bad." Gale said, nudging the owl with her paw.
