    Now it was kai's turn to be surprised. He wasn't expecting Alex to actually kiss him back, maybe give him a slap but a kiss? Even though he hadn't expected one back he was glad he got one. It took a second to get out of shock as well bit he soon reciprocated the kiss and deepened it a bit. He tried to press Alex against him even more to close the distance completely. His arms were wrapped around the other's waist and he held the other tightly against him as they kissed but he pulled back for a breath, knowing the other probably needed one to. When their lips parted from each other, he looked over the other's beautiful face and looked deeply into the other's eyes for a reaction.

    Alex pulled away as well and smiled a little, his cheeks still bright red. "w-w-well....how's that f-for a repayment?" he smiled a little more and shook his head, "i wasn't expecting this....but....i like it." he flinched a little and pulled back from Kai, his side had begun to hurt again. "s-sorry, but...it just hurts a little..." he sighed and looked up at Kai, "do...do you think i could lie down for a bit? you could go check up on Mia..." he stepped closer and kissed Kai's cheek softly.

    "Well, I'd say it was a one heck of a repayment" Kai said with a smile and kissed the top of Alex's head. When he felt the other pull away he looked down in slight concern. "Yea, you can lay down. Can I walk you over?" he asked, concern laced in his deep, smooth, silky voice. Kai didn't really mean it as a question. He was worried about Alex so he at least wanted to see him off to sleep. "C'mon, lets go" he said and redirected them both towards Alex's room.

    Alex nodded a little and leaned into Kai, looking up at him. "yeah...yeah, of course. i just..i'm tired, is all..." he sighed and wrapped his arm around Kai's waist, mostly for support, but he enjoyed having Kai so close to him. "hey....where's Mia, anyway? did she go back to her room?" he looked around, now curious where the little girl went. hopefully his brother's men hadn't gotten ahold of her.

    Kai also instinctively wrapped his arm around the other's waist with a grin. He knew Alex was only using him for support though he was just happy that Alex was holding onto him. And to think, neither of them would've guessed that they'd come to like the other. It was like a reverse fairytale. The princess would get kidnapped by a dragon but her prince would come save her and slay the dragon. In this case the prince got kidnapped but fell in love with the dragon. Kai honestly couldn't have been happier than the moment they shared before. "Oh, yea. Mia probably went back to her room" he said. When they reached Alex's room he automatically opened the door for the other and walked over to Alex's bed. "What happened in here?" he asked, motioning to the mess.

    Alex looked around and hesitated, he didn't really want Kai to know of his little temper tantrum he had, but he sighed and shook his head, "i....i got angry earlier....im not very good with my anger....s-sorry, i'll pick it up when i wake up...." he sighed and looked up at Kai, "hey...can you..come back here later, even if im asleep? i..i really don't want to be alone...." he sat on his bed and looked up at Kai, of course Alex knew he had take care of Mia, but he was just uneasy about being alone now, his brother could come back at any time..

    Kai smiled and nodded before placing a kiss on the other's forehead. "Yea, of course. I'll come back right after I put Mia down to" he said softly before stepping out of Alex's room, turning off the lights as he stepped out. He then walked over to his sister's room and sure enough, she was sitting on her bed in a ball, holding he stuffed animals tightly against her chest. Kai walked in and wrapped his arms around her, whispering soothing things into her ear. That helped Mia calm down and soon, she was out as well. Kai laid the small girl down on the bed and covered her out before walking back over to Alex's room. He silently slipped into his room and even picked up a few things before sitting down on a chair, watching Alex with a smile.

    Alex was fast asleep, his breathing slow and rhythmic. every once in a while he would twitch, or make small noises, but otherwise he was still and silent. later in the night, Alex had been having a nightmare, one where he was being crowned as king, and suddenly he looked around at his people, they were all laughing at him, as if he was just a joke to him. he woke up quickly and looked around, he wasn't at home, but he was back in the room with Kai. he sighed and shook his head, sitting up in the bed. he looked at Kai and smiled a little, and reached out to poke Kai's hand softly.

    Kai had been peacefully watching Alex sleep with the watchful eyes of a predator. When he saw Alex jerk up into a sitting his gaze turned to the other's face with a questioning look. He had been so focused on the other's face that he jumped a bit when Alex poked him but quickly took the other's hand and intertwined their fingers together. Though after a few seconds he moved so he was sitting on te edge of Alex's bed, gently stroking his amazingly soft hair with a soft smile. "Did you have a nightmare." He asked gently

    Alex nodded a little and sighed, curling close to Kai. "y-yeah.....b-but im good now..." he sighed and shook his head, "i....im never going to be able to go home, am i?" he asked, his eyes adjusting to the darkness in the room. he thought about his sister, and his mother, what would become of them? would he ever be able to go home, to become king? it worried him, he missed his home, but he knew Kai wouldnt let him leave.

    Kai's soft smile faded once Alex asked that question and he turned his gaze away from him. Kai just simply couldn't return him, or not until his brother and a few others were dealt with or exterminated. Now kai really didn't want to return Alex, seeing how they had just made a huge breakthrough with each other. Kai simply cared to much about and for Alex. He didn't speak a word but simply kissed the top of Alex's head, gently stroking his hair. What was he supposed to say anyways? He couldn't tell Alex his reason, Alex would probably hate him for it.

    Alex sighed and shook his head, he knew that Kai's silence meant, and he didn't like it. so, he stayed silent as well, only listening to the steady heartbeat of Kai, the one person in the world he didn't want to upset. he wanted to go home, yes, but...if he could...would he? he thought about the for a while, even if he had the option of going home, he wasn't sure if he wanted to. he wanted Kai, and he wanted the throne, but which would he choose more? he sighed out loud at the thought, he didn't know what to do anymore...

    Kai looked down at Alex and just looked at him for a bit. He wasn't quite sure where he stood with Alex, so in an attempt to find out, he leaned down and kissed the other on the lips for a few seconds before looking at him with an almost pained expression, knowing what was probably going on through mind. "I'm sorry" he whispered aan apology before sighing at his own words. "You should get some rest. Its the middle of the night" he said gently and laid down with Alex, wrapping his arms securely around him but was careful of Alex's wounds. "Don't worry. I won't leave or let anyone but maybe Mia come in" he whispered, trying to sooth Alex's nerves

    Alex nodded a bit and turned himself around so he was facing Kai, and he looked up at him worriedly. "Kai...i dont...dont want to upset you....but...what about me being king? maybe...maybe you could come down with me...w-we could rule together!" Alex knew he was just mumbling randomness now, but it made him feel better to think that way. "yeah....and Mia could be the princess....and we could have tea parties every day..." he talked himself into sleep, curled tightly in Kai's arms. every once in a while he would shift, or even open his eyes, but he slept soundly, more so than he had in days.

    Alex's mindless rambling made Kai feel a bit guilty. He knew he couldn't do that because, if anything, people would treat him as an animal. People would be scared of him and he didn't want that or want to bring Alex any trouble if he decided to return him. Having a warmer body temperature than a human, he was pretty sure he provided enough warmth but dropped them in covers since it got cold at night. Still, it was pretty warm under the blanket. It took awhile though but kai did manage to fall asleep with Alex wrapped securely in his arms.

    The next morning, Alex had woken up before Kai. he yawned, looked behind him, and saw that he was still asleep. he smiled and slipped out of the bed carefully, trying not to wake him. Alex wanted to make him breakfast, and make it special. he sneaked out of the room and made his way to the kitchen, where he looked around for anything to make breakfast with. after a while he had pulled out eggs, bread for toast, and he had made pancakes of his own recipe. all the while he cooked, he thought about his home, but those thoughts were replaced by Kai, and Mia, this was his new home, he had to accept that.

    By the time Kai woke up, there was no Alex in his arms. Curses just ran through his mind that he had even fallen asleep like he had that night. He was supposed to be staying awake in case anyone came in and tried to kidnap Alex or kill him! Then again, Kai would know if someone was coming down the hall, more or less. With a yawn, Kai stood up before stretching out his limbs with a satisfying pop from his joints. Kai walked down to go see where Alex and Mia were. A wonderful aroma filled his nostrils so he thought that it was Mia cooking. It wasn't a very familiar scent so he snuck down to the kitchen silently to find Alex at the stove. In an attempt to surprise the other, he snuck up behind him and hugged him from behind. "Morning" he whispered in the other's ears.

    Alex was lost in his thoughts, he hadn't heard or seen the other come in. when he felt someone touch him he jumped, losing his grip on the pan he was cooking with, and he dropped it to the ground, the still gooey contents splattering everywhere. he turned to face Kai and smiled a little, blushing. "dont...do that again. im a little jumpy after everything that's happened...." he looked down at the messy floor, "sorry....i gotta pick that up...." he looked back at Kai and blushed a little before he bent down and picked up the pan. "i was trying to make you breakfast...." he sighed, "well, there goes the pancakes..."

    Well... Kai had sorta gotten the reaction he was looking for, he just didn't think that Alex would have dropped the pan. His face went from amusement to apologetic in that matter of seconds. "Oh, sorry. I didn't mean to scare you that badly" he apologized gently before getting a towel and wiping up the gooey mix on the floor. "We could always make some more. Don't worry" he said and gave him a peak on the cheek. He then saw the blush on Alex's cheek which made him smile even more. He gently ran his thumb over the prince's cheek on a slow fashion. "You're so cute when you blush" he commented before dropping his hand and going into the cabinets for another pan that was identical to the one Alex had been using. "Here" he said and handed it to him.

    Alex blushed even more when Kai had said about him blushing, and he quickly turned away. "y-y-yeah, i-i know." he took the pan from Kai and set it on the stove, then grabbed the rest f the batter. "so....do you like pancakes? it's my own recipe." he glanced down at Kai and smiled a little, he never really took a moment to look at kai, and man, he was attractive. he blushed even more at thinking of it, and he quickly turned back to the stove. "i hope Mia wakes up soon, and i hope she's hungry."
