    Mia giggled and shrugged her shoulders. "Its ok, but it'll win next time!" she said and puffed some smoke into her brother's face playfully. Kai chuckled and fanned away the smoke. The older if the two.a arm snaked around his love's waist with a victorious smile. "Mm..." he said and kissed his love's cheek repeatedly. His sister ginned and nodded. "Yea! Its all ready! C'mon!" she said sweetly. She then saw her brother kissing Alex's cheek and giggled again. "Kai! C'mon its time for the tea party!" she said and tugged on their arms, pulling them towards her room.


    (wanna have like the kingdom peeps come the next day and take Alex back? Since Kei's still healing and all? )

    Alex chuckled and walked with Mia, dragging Kai along with him. he smiled and looked back at Kai, he just couldn't stay away from him. as they entered Mia's room Alex's eyes widened and he suddenly pulled Mia back. "Mia, run!" he yelled as his brother, along with three other knights, stood there in front of the open window. "the window was open," James said with a smirk, "so we let ourselves in."

    Mia's eyes widened and the young girl made a break for it, down to the only place she knew was safe. She raced a good enough distance before going out the window herself, shifting and taking to the skies. That was the only really safe place she knew of since that's how Kai saved her last time. This time, Kai had a deadly look from the beginning and he positioned himself in front of Alex, shifting into a lethal dragon himself and cocooning his love under his still injured wing. It had patched together but was now just a reddish pink wound now. The now dragon snarled ferociously, protecting his only love from the one who threatened to take him. Only three soldier besides Alex's brother? Was he trying to make this easy?


    (lol, glad we got the same mindset there :3)

    Alex looked out from behind Kai and quickly shrank back away, not James, not now...James stepped forward and laughed. "my, my, aren't you a little weakling? still healing, and yet you chose to fight me?" he scoffed and turned back around, the other three soldiers getting ready for battle. but, something that neither Alex nor Kai had thought of, was the many other windows in the home. soon enough they were surrounded, no way of getting out of the room now. Alex shrunk away even more and looked around, then at Kai. "Kai...please, don't do this...don't hurt yourself anymore...let him take me and this can be over..." James nodded a little and smirked, stepping closer. "yes, Kai, listen to my brother here. because outside we have a weapon that can end your darling little sister's life in an instant. it's called a net. if we catch her, we kill her. so, who's it going to be? Your sister or my brother?"

    Kai snarled even more threatening as James stepped closer go him. His snarling stopped for a second as he contemplated what he should do. Then a thought came to his mind and a rumble, almost sounding came from the dragon's throat. ' you really think my sister is stupid enough to fly in range of your "nets"? You really do underestimate us' he snarled before cocooning Alex, covering him in a tent like structure with his own wing. The second before he sealed Alex off, he gave him a small lick on the cheek, his tongue as a dragon feeling like a cat's. Rough like sandpaper. Then his thunderous snarling came back. He knew the inevitable outcome but wasn't going without a fight. He wouldn't give Alex up that easily. They'd have to render him completely flightless or else he'd follow. He'd od anything to be with Alex and this wasn't an option.

    James laughed and shook his head, "No, we knew that you guys were smart enough to fall into our traps, that's why we came prepared. she's cornered, Kai. my men are surrounding her as we speak, readying their nets, and we will take her if you don't hand over my brother." Alex rubbed his cheek where Kai had licked him and looked out as much as he could, "Kai, please don't do this! let him take me, i don't want him to hurt either of you!!" he saw James smirk deviously, and Alex knew something was up. Alex couldn't see much, but what he heard next stopped his heart. "Mom and Dad are dead, Alex. and Emma too, in case you were wondering. i killed them. i killed them and covered it up to look like it was from the battle at the castle. now all that's left is you, and me. and i certainly am not dying." James snapped his fingers, and all at once all of his men in the room charged at Kai, their swords aimed directly at him. "Kai!! No!!!" Alex yelled out, flinching back.

    Thatdidn't sell to well with Kai. When he heard his sister was cornered, his eyes narrowed and a growl formed loudly in his chest but when he heard about Alex's family, he lost it. Alex didn't deserve to lose his family! His family didn't deserve to die either! Kai's scales even rose up slightly and he had the one look he'd never had towards a single person. Pure. Hatred. The shifter roared loudly and charged James, fangs and claws bared. Only then did he feel a stab into his side so his scales quickly went down. Kai fought, he really did. But he was simply way outnumbered. Ended up having his wings torn up and got tied down to the ground in ropes and nets. He roared out, struggling against his restraint, dark red staining the floor below. He couldn't have them take Alex away. They couldn't kill him. Kai, he.... he... he couldn't live without Alex! He roared but it got to sad and desperate cries for his love.

    James looked down at Kai and laughed, "aw, you're so pathetic. why don't you change into your human form so you can watch me kill Alex?" he chuckled and walked over to Alex, who had been held down to his knees by two other men. Alex looked at Kai, tears in his eyes, "Kai...Kai, please!! stay awake, don't die!!" he wasn't even worried that he was about to die himself, all he cared about was seeing Kai there, lying on the ground half-dead. he closed his eyes and shook his head, "let him go!! can't you see?! he's dying, you've won!! let him go!!" his hair fell over his eyes and he sobbed, knowing he was helpless to do anything. James chuckled and nodded a little, "yeah, you know what, alright. let him go, sit him againt the wall." his men slowly and cautiously untied Kai, and leaned him up so he was against the wall. "now, jus shut up and hold still so i can get an accurate shot..." he held his sword out at Alex's neck, and Alex looked up at James, a smirk on his face. "you underestimate me, brother." with a swift kick James was on his back, and Alex had freed himself of the other men. he grabbed the sword and fought off as many of the men as he could, all until one of the men came up behind Alex and skewered him through the side, making Alex drop the sword. for a moment, it seemed as if time stood still.

    Kai would've shifted, he honestly would've, but he was to weak and his adrenaline had ran out. Or so he thought. Everything stopped for him once he saw a knife enter his loves body. Nonononononononononnonono! After seeing this again, nothing else matter to him except Alex now. He bolted over, clamping his jaws down on Alex's attacker, not caring who it might have been to Alex. Kai took out about ten more people, blood from other's mixed with his own seeped from his mouth as he viciously attacked anyone who dared to attack Alex or interfere in his streak. Only after he felt it was enough people did he take the other's side. He really did look like a monster while he attacked the people. The look of absolute bloodlust in his eyes vanished as he looked at Alex. Still in dragon form, a low rumble formed in his chest, almost sounding like a whine as he ever so gently nudged alex. The dragon saw the wound and his eyes saddened completely, not looking like the monster he was a few seconds ago. In a gentle motion, he nudged Alex into the wall with his snout and slid him down into a laying position. Of course he stood in front of hi protectively before licking t the others wound, hoping to make it heal faster. He licked it in a downward motion so the soft part rubbed against the wound, lapping up the other's blood. After a few licks he looked into the other's eyes and rubbed his face against Alex's in a sign of affection. He knew the battle was far from over but at least he licked the other's wound, that way it'll heal a bit faster.

    Alex looked up at Kai, not knowing whether to be scared or secure. he coughed, a small trickle of blood coming out as well. he glanced around he room with utter horror at all of the bodies, all of the blood. he cringed and shook his head a litte, "K-Kai....M-Mia.....go...she needs you..." he closed his eyes, a numbness taking over parts of his body. he reached up with a shaky hand and gently stroked Kai's wing and smiled a little, "c-come on.....i-i'm a prince...i-i'm stronger...than this...." he coughed again and looked back up at Kai, his eyes soft. "i-i'll...be fine....."


    (OH MY GOD i am so sorry i havent answered back in so long i havent had a computer i am so sorry!!)

    Kai was taken aback as he saw the blood trickle from his mouth. Pure alarm is what flooded through his body. The now sleek black dragon let out a sound that sounded like a whine but much deeper and had strait worry in it. Kai rubbed his head against the others chest in a living and gentle way before leveling his head do they looked eye to eye.. He couldn't stand seeing Alex like this but he knew that Alex was right. So, Kai lent over and licked the blood away that was trickling down his love's mouth and also his wound. His eyes said it all. 'don't you dare die on me...' He then quickly pinned James down and growled. "If you end him or so much as hurt him anymore, i will slaughter you like i already should have." D with that said, he was off, racing to save his sister. He flew strait up to where she should have been but found her in a net instead. In a net surrounded by people. With an enraged roar, he flew strait for them.

    Alex looked over st James, completely forgetting he was in there. "J-James...." he coughed and spit out some more blood. "you......d-don't need to...do this....j-just give it up....g-go be...king...." he gasped as if he was struggling to breathe, and James stumbled to his feet, shaking his head in horror. "you....you ruin everything!!! this is why i hate you so much!!" he stormed over to his brother and started to kick Alex roughly, taking out his anger. "i should have been the oldest!! i should have been next in line for king!!! I should have been Mother and Father's favorite!!!" with a final kick James stopped and looked down at his brother, a look of pure disgust. "you'll die before he gets back, and im not going to be here to see it. i am going to go home, and be the rightful king that our kingdom needs." he picked up his sword and made his way out the way he had come in, through the window. Alex lied there, the only sound now coming from the room was his raspy breathing, if you could even count it as breathing.


    Below Kai, at least five men were holding Mia down, trying to get her still so they could stick a sword in her throat, but it was complicated. "come on, men, hold her down!!" one yelled out, and another saw Kai from the corner of his eye and dropped the net. "run!! he's coming!!!" he shouted to the others, and they saw Kai as well. they dropped the net and took off back where they came from, forgetting their orders from James to kill the girl.

    Kai landed right next to his sister and turned human to free her. He cut the ropes simply using one of his claws. Mia ran into his arms crying before a quiet and quick conversation brewed. It was a simple, are you ok? Alright go to the kitchen using the back way. He didn't want his little sister to see the mess he'd made in the halls. With a nod, Mia was off towards the kitchen while Kai flew back down, now in his dragon form, to go get Alex. What he saw was not anything to make him happy. In fact, a few of his scales rose up on edge as he took in the sight of his beloved in a messy heap on the floor. Aftera moment, he quickly raced over to Alex, nudging him and positioning him so the other could safely travel in hits jaws. He then raced to the medical room and sat Alex on the counter, laying him out. He quickly turned human and started to get various things from the cabinet to heal his prince. That's when he started to put things on Alec's wounds. Some giving relief while others brought pain when applied but much more affective. He mumbled things to Alex to say he was going to be ok but he was just saying that to make himself feel better. He them began tightly bandaging Alexwere

    Alex coughed a little and looked at Kai, a weak smile on his face. that's when he remembered Kai's wounds. "Kai....you...you're hurt..." he reached over and gently touched a wound with his hand, then quickly pulled away as a wave of pain swept through him. he let out a low moan as relief went over him like a blanket, the pain was slowly subsiding. he looked at Kai and reached out to him, worry heavy in eyes expression. "you need help...you're worse...than me..." he whispered out, his eyes drooping with exhaustion. his brother hurting himself, he could handle. but, his brother hurting Kai or Mia, now that was a problem. as soon as he was better, he thought, he was going to find James and put an end to this...

    Kai let out a sharp hiss as his wounds were touched. He had been running on adrenaline this while time and now that Alex mentioned it, he was starting to get a but woozy. So, while he still had it in him, he loosely bandaged his abdomen, unable to get the rest himself. He didn't care though and before long, he was in his dragon form, since it was stronger and such. He carefully picked Alex up and set him on his back. Bad mistake since he had a wound there but he carried Alex none the less. He set Alex in his bed before collapsing on the ground himself but not in a bad way. He just wanted some sleep. He curled in a way that he practically made a circle if his own body. His wings were folded tightly against him injured body. An old yet sweety habit of his showed as he slept in this form. Even as he slept in the particular way he did, he always left room for another person to snuggle in with him. Something that became a habit since his brothers and sisters would snuggle up with him.

    Alex looked down at Kai and smiled softly, Kai looked so...peaceful when he slept. he coughed a little and let his arm fall over the edge of the bed, just grazing Kai's wing softly. he was weak, tired, and just plain not wanting to move. he looked down at Kai and smiled softly, but worry still clung to his heart, was Kai alright? he didn't seem to be, not in the slightest. he sighed and closed his eyes, petting Kai's wing gently, and eventually his hand went limp, the only movement from Alex was his somewhat steady breathing.

    A sound that could've been easily perceived as a purr erupted from the dragon's throat as he felt the gentle hand of his love stroke his wing. Something he hasn't been able to enjoy was that simple touch. The purring continued long after Alex had fallen asleep and only stopped as Kai slipped into a rather deep sleep. He didn't even notice that his sister had snuck in and snuggled up with him, just as they have many times. Kai didn't wake until late in the night. The shifter hasn't reverted bbacki to a human dorm because he healed faster in the shape he got hurt in. He category uncoiled himself from around his sister and made a daring act. He recoiled at Alex's feet, resting his head across his legs before falling asleep again.

    Alex felt something wrap around his feet and he snapped his eyes open, going into a panic. "w-what-?!" he glanced down and relaxed slightly when he saw it was Kai. he smiled a little and managed to sit up a bit, but his head still hurt a lot. he crawled over to the end f the bed and smiled down at Kai, then poked is head softly. "hey...Kai....why don't you just come up here?" he asked, partially in a whisper, not noticing that Mia was in the room. "im cold...and you seem so warm..."

    That was like music to his ears, hearing asked say that. A single eyes opened and the corners of his mouth lifted a bit in an almost smile. Then it disappeared and he rested his head against the other, just to trade him he appeared to be asleep. Though after awhile he nodded and nudged Alex back into a laying position once more. He uncoiled yet again and moved so he laid right next to Alex, having to curve the length of his long body at Alex's knees. With a playful huff he gave Alex a luck goodnight on the cheek before draping his wing over Alex, like a blanket but much warmer since it was Kai.

    Alex smiled a little and curled up, but he couldn't see very well, his vision was going blurry and his head was pounding like someone was hitting it with a hammer. he closed his eyes and tried to relax, but he just couldn't go back to sleep. so, he opened his eyes again and stared at the ceiling until morning broke, and light filtered into the bedroom. he rubbed his eyes and turned his head to see Kai, and he smiled a little, he felt so safe when he was around, like nothing from the day before had ever happened. "Kai...hey, it's time to get up...." he whispered to Kai, kissing his head softly. he was still tired, and weak, but he felt a little better than last night.
