The setting sun set the water’s surface ablaze with beautiful hues of orange. Sparkling with the reflection of the sun as the purple and blue colors of night began to make their way into the horizon. Each stone was already warm though their warmth would quickly be sucked away with the night until daytime came by again. It was a true shame but nighttime always brought the light of stars with it and those small dots in the sky always seemed like a blessing from the spirits. Looking up anyone could already see the faded shape of the moon awaiting its moment to fully reveal itself and a couple of stars already dotted the sky.
The she-cat kept her left leg close to her side doing her best to stop the throbbing pain. The journey to the area had been a long one and the wound that had been placed so close to her leg joint didn’t help much. Even if the wound was beginning to scar most of the damage was internal when it came to her leg even if she was told to take it easy and everything would go back to normal taking it easy was something she wasn’t used to. At the moment she wished she listened to the advice and regretted making the walk here. Though apart of her knew it was worth it, the sky was a beautiful hue of orange and she didn’t think she had ever seen anything like it. It almost amazed her enough that she forgot about the pain in her leg. Don’t whine or think about it. She told herself. Think of those who got it worse.
