  • Eli forced himself to focus only on Fey, "Yeah, the same for me when I get upset. You know, without the werewolf side and all." He looked at her, "And I don't really believe she could have said that about you." He said with a sly knowing gaze. The edge of the forest was coming up and by now it must be lunch time at school, or even past that. Eli knew that by now Miles would be patrolling the streets to search for him. He put his phone on silent so he could ignore his guardian's pestering calls.

  • "I thought only my family had the... problem." Fey murmured, offering a weak smile, "You'd be surprised what she says. Not the nicest demon, that's for sure.... Would you like something to eat? As long as you don't loose control I'm sure it'd be fine. And, I do need to give you back your jacket."

  • He shrugged, "You can keep it for now. And sure, God knows we aren't going back to school... You don't really believe what she tells you, do you?" A tone of concern came from the question. He often gave into his own fears and suggestions from what he thought was another conscience, which always ended badly. What could he say? He lost his ill tempered, murderous father, and his mother abandoned him at an asylum. He didn't have much good guidance except from Miles and a few friends.

  • The small blonde looked down, saying nothing for a moment, "I don't have a reason to believe otherwise." She murmured, walking beside him a bit slower, "My mother tells me not to listen, but she's usually there telling me things that I can't help but believe." She sighed faintly, hugging herself, "I'll change when we get to my house and give your jacket back... Beside, I'm sure you're hungry, Eli."

  • Eli walked in front of her to a stop so she would look at him and listen to what he had to say, "Like what? What kind of things could she possibly say to you that is true?" He studied her face with hard eyes. "If it's something evil all they have to offer are lies, and you should never compare yourself to what they see you becoming because of them."

  • Fey looked down and away, "I don't know what can be true and what isn't." She murmured, "It all seems realistic. Things about my appearance, if people care for me...." The blonde trailed off and sighed, "You're right. I shouldn't compare myself...." She reached out and grabbed his hand before hugging him tightly, taking a moment's comfort of touching another human before pulling away and starting to walk again.

  • He embraced the hug, finding comfort in it himself. It was then he realized how similar they really were; that Fey was right. When they started walking again, Eli glanced over at her, keeping his thoughts to himself to not make the walk any more awkward. It's an impossible pursuit. Don't even bother, you'll just look like a fool... What would she see in a time bomb like you? "So when did your demon and/or wolf side start kicking in?"

  • Fey smiled sadly, "I was five when my wolf side first started. I was angry with a little girl who lived across the street, and I shifted in my room. It took my dad two hours to make my wolf side calm down and understand that he's alpha in the house and I'm omega..... My demon side started speaking when I was seven." The small blonde leaned against him slightly, going down a dead end road near the woods, "I do get benifates for being a hybrid, though.... I'm part of a pack of werewolves even though I'm half, and my mom has a group of demons who accepted me even though I am only a quarter..... Scholarship opportunities, for troubled teens.... You could join us one of these days. They teach you how to control your demon."

  • A spark of recognition came to him when she said she was seven when her demon showed up. Eli was silent for a minute, "I don't know..." Honestly, to him it sounded just like the asylum: just a place to group all the weirdos, except this time they come with a support group... He stuffed his hands in his jean pockets and looked down the dead end. "I kind of just got all this thrown at me... Being confined in walls of others that share the same issue...I don't know how well it will turn out." His word choice alone was ironic; if only she knew.

  • Gazing up at Eli, Fey bit her lip, "Please? I'm the only one of my age there, everyone else is in their thirties.... It'll help us both." She looked down, "I'm sorry to hear that." She whispered, a large house revealed at the end of the road, "I have to warn you, the pack lives with us. They won't do anything to you as long as you don't threaten them in any way." She made her way to the door when a chorus of howls filled the air, causing her to wince, "Great.... Dad's going to kill me." She mumbled, opening the door and leading Eli inside.

  • "I'll think about it..." He said finally to her plea. As they approached the building he said with uncertainty, "You sure this is a good idea?" He followed her into the house, hearing the howling he tensed up. Once inside he observed the interior and the musky smell that was both pleasant and unnerving.

  • Fey gave a little nod, looking around the Victorian themed home before starting to the kitchen, "Yeah, it's a good idea; I'm just going to be asked if we're in a relationship since I'm the baby of the pack.... Don't worry about anyone. Their barks are much worse than their bites. Besides, my dad and mom won't do anything unless you hurt me, and I'm not going to bring up what happened." She was silent as she started to get some things from the fridge, presenting Eli with a turkey sandwich after a few quick moments, "Eat up; there's chips if you'd like, and I'll get you some water or soda." As she was working, a couple of people watched from the doorway, their heads tilted, "Who's this kid, Fey? Boyfriend?" Fey rolled her eyes, "Unlike you two are, I'm not in any relationship. He's a friend from school. Eli, these idiots are Mable and Sam."

  • Remembering his paroxysm, he felt a weight in his chest out of guilt. "Thanks, Fey." He said as she gave him the sandwich, but something about how he said it made him sound more distant than anything. When the heads popped in he offered a weak, awkward wave, "Hey, nice to meet you." It was strange how he felt a small rush from them assuming him being a boyfriend, but he didn't do anything about it.

  • Fey glanced back and nodded at Daniel before she got him some soda and chips, "Is my dad around?" She asked the two werewolves, earning a nod, "Yeah, he's in his study. Wanted us to tell you to take your boyfriend there, and you to join him." Mabel answered, smirking as Fey threw a cup of water at her.... And hit. The werewolf growled faintly before stalking off to change, Fey chuckling as she got more water for Eli and set it down for him. They were alone now, causing her to sit across from him and lightly grab his wrist, "Don't worry about what happened, please. I forgive you. I know it wasn't you when that happened."

  • [Daniel? lol]

Eli couldn't help but feel the corners of his mouth twitch upwards as the water spilled over her. When Fey joined him he took a sip of his water absently. "Doesn't mean I couldn't have stopped it." He said it quietly. Swallowing down a bite of his sandwich he added, "After all it's just a stupid voice... It's my body, I choose what to do with it." But he knew it was harder to resist the sudden urge to cause harm than that. It was like touching a hot stove. Once you've felt the heat you have to act right away. Of course it was more complicated then that but that was it in the simplest case.

  • Ooc:
    Sorry, meant Eli.

    Ic:
Fey smiled sadly, "You and I both know that isn't true." She murmured, "It's much more than that.... Eli, the demon in you makes you do that. It takes control and you can't stop it." She sighed and took a few chips from the bowl she set out, munching on them before speaking again, "It takes a lot to get it to stop.... Just being able to break through today took a lot of focus for me."

  • "I guess.." He gulped down the rest of his water before getting up with his plate to rinse off the crumbs and lay it in the sink. Changing the subject he said sarcastically, "Wonder what your dad wants to talk about." The office must've called him by now. "You sure I'm going to walk out of this house alive?" He was joking, but only a bit. Being in a house full of what he saw Fey turn into was nerve racking, and having a pissed off, protective, alpha dad that could rip your throat out in an instant didn't help.

  • Chuckling weakly, Fey nodded, "You'll be fine, I promise. I may only be omega, but I still can talk my dad out of a lot." She said softly, holding her hand out for him to take if he so wanted. Starting down the hall, she gazed back at him, "You'll be perfectly safe here, Eli. Besides, if my dad knows that you have a demon, he'll be sure not to do anything to put him in a bad position or you into a bad position; if either of you freak out it'll be bad, and he'll want to make sure that you don't end up changing." By now she had reached a solid oak door and knocked on it before entering. Sitting at the desk was a tall blonde man with brown eyes, reading, "You came home early; why?" He asked as soon as the door opened, not needing to loo up to know it was Fey, "And the gentleman with you, who is he?"

  • With some hesitation he politely declined it and followed her down the hall. After she explained the precautions he nodded, but it was obvious he was still nervous. He stared up at the oak doors and let out a breath. When they entered he could feel the demon in him become agitated. Eli ignored it as best as he could in order to answer Fey's father, "I'm Eli, uh, a friend of Fey's." His amber eyes stayed on the adult, but the demon in him kept giving his brain chemical signals saying It's not safe here. Get out. It's not safe!

  • Fey glanced over at Eli, lightly rubbing his arm before glancing at her father who was now watching them with interested eyes, "Demon?" He asked lightly, "Fey, close the door.... Both of you, come sit." Fey did as the man asked before leading Eli to the desk, sitting down, "What happened to make you come home, Fey. And you know that I can tell the truth from a lie." Fey bit her lip, "I got upset and shifted, that's all."
