    Copperpaw shrugged. Her tail flicked as she padded up beside Yewpaw, "You know how to hunt, right?"
    Bumblekit mewed as he stopped bouncing, "I know, could you teach me some fighting moves?"
    Fawnfeather stopped at LittleSprings, taking in the small waterfalls and pounds where frozen still. She gazed around Spotting a lot of rabbit and mouse tracks, still fresh, she silently ordered each mentor and apprentice to go off hunting. SHe padded up to Creekpaw and mewed, "You ready?"
    Copperpaw dragged Yewpaw over to a small tree, where a few mice burrowed 2 inches in the snow. "Easy pickings." She snarled to herself as she got ready and waited for Yewpaw to do so also. She leapt and dived into the snow, much like a fox, bringing out one, two, three mice. "A few are still sleeping, you might still have a chance." She mewed after swiftly killing the mice she caught.

    Yewpaw parts his jaws slightly, scenting for the sleeping mice Copperpaw was talking about. He knows that this is his big moment, and if he messes up here, Copperpaw's probably going to laugh at him. He eventually scents the mice, and he pounces at them. However,upon landing, he slips on the snow, bowling over as the mice awaken and begin to flee. Yewpaw tries his best to get onto his feet before they're out of sight, but by the time he's up, the mice are already gone. He looks down to the snow sadly. "I messed up..." he mutters, disappointed.







    Rowanfall breaks from the group, telling Stormpaw to follow her as she searches the area for any signs of prey. She can scent some mice, and she can see some rabbit tracks, so she lowers herself to the ground, trying to figure out exactly where these pieces of prey are. Eventually, she sees a minor amount of movement a few tail's lengths away, so she leaps forward with a bound, catching a mouse right as it's about to burrow back into the ground. She then looks to Stormpaw expectantly, waiting to see what she can do.

    "We all mess-up sometime. Nothing's wrong with that. But you got to admit, snow always gives a good laugh!" Copperpaw chuckled. She added, "I'll tell them you caught the mice." She pushed the mice she killed towards him, "I'll catch something else." She began padding away, but stopped, waiting for Yewpaw to follow.
    Fawnfeather went off at a brisk pace but froze, as she scented a rabbit in the Fronds a tail-length or so away. She nodded to Creekpaw and took a few steps away to watch. They were both down-wind of it.

    Creekpaw slowly crept up on the rabbit. Please don't mess this up, your mentor is watching He silently urged himself. He waited for the perfect moment to pounce on the rabbit. Finally he saw his chance, Creekpaw swiftly killed the rabbit and brought it back over to Fawnfeather.

    Yewpaw lowers his head, embarrassed. "Alright..." he says compliantly, following after her. He really wishes that he could have caught his own prey instead of taking the credit for Copperpaw's abilities, but he figures that he would get in trouble if he didn't find anything again. The worst part, however, is that he knows that taking credit for these mice isn't going to make him any better at hunting, and that saddens him. He doesn't want to have to do this for all of his years as a warrior.

She got low and slowly and silently crept through the snow, then pounced on it, killing it quickly. She padded back to Yewpaw, "You'll get the hang of it." She mewed, trying to comfort her fellow apprentice.
    Fawnfeather chuckled, "If you keep yowling like that you might scare every last piece of prey into their dens!" She teased.
    Bumblekit hissed and got into an unsteady fighting stance, where with one paw, another kit could have knocked him over. Bumblekit wouldn't give up until he's done something right.

    "Yeah, hopefully..." Yewpaw says. Copperpaw is so good at hunting, and he wishes that he could hunt with her like this more often. Not only that, but she's been so kind, unlike what you thought she'd act like in response to your lackluster abilities.

    ( i'm back! ) Berrypaw sat on her nest, her fur fluffed up. She looked at Olivefeather. "Olivefeather" she meowed quitely.


    Meanwhile, Dawnpaw was fixing up her nest in the apprentice den.


    Willowstar slowly padded out of her den and went into the apprentice den. "Are you enjoying you're stay?" she asked Dawnpaw."Yes! thank you Willowstar!" she purred. "I bet Speckledpaw wont mind showing you around, will you Speckledpaw?" Speckledpaw turned her gaze towards Willowstar. "I wont mind" she croaked. Willowstar flicked her ears. "You might want to go to the medicine cats den Speckledpaw.." She said worriedly.
