Anyone want to help me make a (super) advanced Attack on Titan signup? :)

  • Hi, everyone!
I basically summed my question up in the title, didn't I?

Well, as you can see, I am obviously obsessed with the animanga Attack on Titan, AKA Shingeki no Kyojin and I've been looking around the anime RP board, but all the AoT threads I came across were either almost full or not as advanced as I'd like, so I decided to make an advanced AoT sign-up. Anyone who wants to help is welcome! I only ask that you at least be semi-advanced and have proper grammar. Please do not hesitate to ask if you want to help.

    Cheers!

  • Hi, fellow AoT lover. c; Glad you want to help. Any idea on what you want to help with? I can make you an director for one portion of the sign-up, or something. ^_^

  • Yeah.... I think so. c: I would like for it to be a non-canon roleplay. So, no playing characters from the animanga, meaning people have to make their own characters and such and provide (anime) faceclaims that aren't from AoT. But we need a unique plot that will draw people to the sign-up. I'm thinking that instead of having the people defend the walls and scout outside for titans that we do something more dramatic and bigger-scaled (if that's possible.) What do you think? Should we keep it more like the animanga or incorporate more violence and scarier themes in our RP?

    ?![/fancypost]

  • There could be a few scary themes in there. Also, what if the plot is like the people who guard the walls somehow find titans to help defend the city, kind of like an "ally titans" kind of thing? If not we can figure some other stuff out.

  • Hi, Midnight! Thanks for wanting to help. :) Do you have any ideas for our plot?

...Hmm, yeah, that is a possible plot. I'm not sure how the people's characters will be put into action. Since not everyone is going to join the Garrison Regiment, the Scout Regiment and the Military Police won't have much to do with the plot. I was also thinking of plotting something that included venturing outside the walls (that would be most Scout Regiment characters would get the most action) to communicate with other people that live outside the three walls, maybe? They could form an alliance with those people and band together to fight off titans. How does that sound?

  • I just stalk the Help Den and the title caught my attention for obvious reasons and then I was like HOLD UP THIS QT SEEMS FAMILIAR
    and now here we are
All I know is titan shifters shouldn't be a big part of the plot, because that's what everyone does and we gotta shake it up. I think the idea of going out to communicate with another civilization sounds hella cool. They could even have unique titan fighting technology and we could ally up with them or idk, that sounds like it has potential right?

  • Eeeeeheehe

Yeah, I completely agree. We are not gonna' have, like, ten titan-shifters running around in the plot. Nope. I could choose certain people to roleplay shifters (there needs to be a max., maybe only up to 3 shifters) so I don't have to roleplay any of them. People will be able to apply for HPs. This should give us a rough overview of the high positions open. I kinda' wanna' play a squad leader too

Erwin Smith is the 13th Commander, with 4 Squad Leaders (including Levi, Hange, and Mike) serving directly beneath him. A single Senior Team Leader serves beneath them, supervising 8 Team Leaders in the field. The Legion also has 6 specialized Medical Officers, 5 Veterinary Officers in charge of caring for their horses, and 5 Remuneration Officers that serve concurrently with Team Leaders. This structure leaves 270 regular soldiers, divided into 10 Teams.

Of course, we'll still need some people to play soldiers of the Military Police and the Garrison Regiment; we can't just forget about those people because they'll be helping the Scout Regiment with this mission. The MP won't necessarily be doing much, but the Garrison Regiment will be able to help the Scout Regiment regulate the walls, alert them of sudden invasions, etc. It is even said that most soldiers join the Garrison Regiment because it's so hard to join the MP and lots of people are scared to join the Scout Regiment. Therefore, a bulk of the members will have to go for the Garrison ranks. That doesn't mean they won't be able to help, and for the purposes of this roleplay, we could tweak the rules a bit and allow certain Stationary Police out of the wall to assist the Scouts in their journey or whatever (they have more men anyway). Here's some information on the structure of the Garrison Regiment:

    Shingeki no Kyojin Wiki wrote:

The Garrison is the largest of the three branches, with a total of 30,000 soldiers. Members of the Trainee Corps are considered in this total, until their graduation and enlist in a chosen branch. Their total number of combat-ready personnel is a mere 3rd of this total, at 10,000 soldiers.

Their structure consists of Regiments, Brigades, and Divisions. A regiment is the smallest unit, consisting of 1000 soldiers. A Brigade consists of anywhere between 2,000 and 3,000 soldiers, or 2-3 regiments. And finally, the largest units are Divisions, which consist of 2 Brigades.

edit: Here is some info on the structure of the Military Police Brigade:

    Shingeki no Kyojin Wiki wrote:

The Military Police Brigade is an organization with 2,000 members, with direct command over 3,000 additional personnel from the Garrison. This brings their total potential manpower to 5,000 soldiers. Their forces are divided between the major Districts, with 200 officers assigned per District.

The Central Branch operates completely separate from the main group, with their own command structure and duties. Little is known about them, with even Nile Dok admitting to knowing little about them. They are involved in numerous conspiracies that supposedly maintain order within the walls, and stated to be completely above the law. They are rarely seen outside the Capitol. They are later revealed to have a separate division known as the Anti-Human Suppression Squad which use uniquely designed firearms in conjuncture with 3D Maneuver Gear to attack Levi and the Survey Corps as they tried to retrieve Eren and Historia from the Military Police.

  • Since this is all your idea, I think it's pretty reasonable for you to get a squad leader position.
I think it all depends on how big you want this to be though tbh. All of that info is definitely helpful and good to keep on hand, but I don't think there would be anything wrong with limiting the playable characters to one squad, and we could always play other soldiers on the side as needed. Idk though, I just think if we really do want this to be advanced it might better to keep it a little bit smaller idk idk
