Shawn opened the passenger door of the Challenger for her and smiled waiting for her to get in. "I've got to make a call to Brad in a minute." he said before giving her a quick kiss.

Shawn got in on the drivers side and made his way out of the parking lot. He pressed a button on his steering wheel and there was a soft beep, "Hello Challenger." he said out loud. A few seconds later a voice replied, "Welcome back, Shawn." it said in a voice similar to Siri on an iPhone. Shawn looked over at Lara with a smile. "Challenger, I would like to facetime with Brad." He said. Another soft beep followed by the voice, "I will connect you, please pull over." It said. Shawn pulled off the road and a face appeared on the navigation screen, Shawn smiled as he looked over at it, "Whats up Brad?" Shawn asked him

Brad turned his head, "Hey guys, Shawn is on facetime!"
A voice in the back ground came through the speakers, "Put him on the Projector!" it said, suddenly about 5 or 6 people were standing in view.
Shawn grinned, "What's up guys?" he said happily
A man in his mid 30's spoke, "You know whats up! The Street King tournament is coming up!"
Brad spoke again, "And we need you here for it."
Shawn shook his head, "I don't know man, that's a lot of prep work."
A younger Asian guy stepped forward, "Well you've got a month to get ready!"
"Okay, But how am I going to get the Challengers there AZN (pronounced Asian)." Shawn said.
Brad picked up the camera, "Was that plural? Your driving the 71' too now?" he asked
Shawn nodded and a man in his mid 20's took the Camera. "Look Shawn, Me and Brad will ride out there in the rig and and get you and the cars." He said
Shawn looked over at Lara, "I'll tell you guys what. Give me a two weeks to decide and I'll rent a 20 foot trailer and haul it out there on the Cummins."

Brad set the camera back up, "You need to come and at least work the light or something." He told Shawn
AZN spoke up again, "Work the light? He's Shawn Black! The Original Number 1! He held the crown for over a year!"
"Look guys!" Shawn said over the commotion, "Monza, your the gate keeper, whats the competition looking like this year?"
The older guy looked around, "Well, all of us will be racing, a few are coming in from Memphis and West Virginia, Logan will be racing."
Shawn cut him off, "Logan?"
Monza nodded
"I'll be there." Shawn said to a roar of hoots and applause from the guys. He hit the button on the dash and the screen cut off. He looked over at Lara, "Looks like ill be heading back to Tennessee for a few days here shortly." He said with a smile

Shawn smiled, "Yea, in the 731 we had this thing called the list. It was something my dad started in the 70's. But it died off after a few years and wasn't brought back till I found the old leader board about 3 years ago and brought it back. I ran it for a year until I started driving. I worked my way up the list over a year and got to the top. I held the number one spot until I moved, and of course number two, Logan, inherited it. But technically, I never lost." he looked back at her. "So now I have to go back and get my spot back."

Shawn sighed, "I was better." he said looking over at her and speeding up. "Now all I have to show for it is a 3 car garage and about three quarters of a million dollars."

"Yea," Shawn said looking over at her. "Monza's like the uncle of the group. He remembers the original list and everything. He's number 10. AZN is the goofy hang around that just showed up one day and never left. He's number 7. Andrade and Varley Jr. are the old neighbors whos dads were on the list back in the 70's. Andrade is 5 and Jr. is 6. And then there's Brad, me and him grew up together and our dads started the original list. He's number 2."

"You can go with me to the tournament if you want." He said looking back at the road and shifting into 6th gear
