No one would ever love a tomboy

Shasta threw on her T-shirt as she walked into the lumber yard. "Just another day in the blistering heat." She mumbled as she punched her time card and grabbed half of a tree. "Cut this into planks." She told a worker before grabbing a chainsaw and heading out.

Shasta cut down a tree and moved on to the next. "I bet you can't climb this tree, Shasta." A guy pointed to, what looked like, the tallest tree in the forest.
"Watch this." She hooked her chainsaw to her belt by a rope and started up, without spiked on her boots or anything.

Guys gathered at the base of the tree as Shasta lost a foot and held onto the limb with one hand. She pulled herself up and stopped, cutting off the top of the tree before climbing down and smiling triumphantly.

The break whistle blew as her feet the ground and she convinced everyone she just needed a moments rest before they finally left her alone. Shasta smiled and sighed, hiding her tools in a Bush and shifting into her Brown wolf, not knowing the white one was there. She took off running through the trees.

She ran to a small stream and leaned down to take a drink before stepping into the water.

She froze as another wolf's scent caught her attention.

'Who's there?' She looked around, scanning the bushes and trees.

Shasta turned to face him. 'who are you and why are you following me?'

She shifted back into her human form. "That still doesn't give you the right to follow me." She crossed her arms.
