Dawnkit watched as the other kits tried to climb up the big oak. She had been watching for some time. She was never one to sleep a lot. She looked at her mother. Her mother's position made it look like she was sleeping but Dawnkit knew well enough that her mother rarely slept. Still Dawnkit longed to play with the others. Her possessive mum was always in the way. Dawnkit jumped slightly as her mother snored. Dawnkit smiled. Finally. She walked towards the big tree silently and stealthily. A trick she had learned from escaping her mother's protective eyes. She reached the tree and whispered to the kits. "Hey, can I join?" she mewed. "I want to be leader of NightClan." she crawled onto the tree. Digging her claws and catching up with the rest of the troop.

A rather large magpie seemed curious about the tree- cats, so it came for a closer look, ending up fluttering right in front of the kit's face. They simply stared at each other for a moment before the magpie decided it was time to take action-- it dug it's sharp claws into Phoenix's side, and she, with a gasp of pain, went plummeting down. "Phoenixkit!!!" mewed Dawnkit. She watched in horror as she plummeted to the ground close to her. She leaped of the trunk of the tree onto the ground. Her paws ached with the impact but she continued to Phoenixkit's side. "Phoenixkit!" she mewed. She looked around and saw her mother. Her mother was having a bad dream and the scar on Dawnkit's ear reminded her of the affects of her mother's dreams. Without her mother's guidance she didn't know whether to call for a medicine cat or to try and heal Phoenixkit herself. What do I do?
