OOC: This roleplay is about a girl and her best friend (the guy) who are running away from their homes in a small town in Oklahoma. Rebecca, the girl, is running away because of verbal, sexual, and physical abuse from her step-father, and her best friend is just going to keep her safe. This may or may not end up a romance- that will be discussed later.

Rebecca's alarm clock lit through the darkness of her bedroom. 3:13 AM. She turned her head swiftly and opened her door soundlessly, then looked down the dimly lit hallway to see if the doors were all closed. They were. She carefully swung a black backpack over her shoulders and tiptoed out of her room, down the hallway, down the stairs, and through the kitchen. She wore a loose Metallica t-shirt and black skinny jeans, and her dark hair was in a ponytail. Rebecca unlocked the kitchen door, opened it as quietly as she could, and slipped out into the night.
The backyard was nearly pitch black. She felt her way to the fence and climbed over it, then walked down the alley to the end of the block, where she saw her best friend waiting for her, leaning against a tree. After a glance over her shoulder, she began to jog towards him.
