History: Rebecca was born in Boston in 1997 to a happily-married upper middle-class couple. Her father, Ryan, was a Junior High Vice Principal, and her mother, Christina, was a secretary at a law firm. Rebecca was their only child, and when she was eight they moved to Oklahoma, where Ryan and Christina had grown up and met in high school. Rebecca made friends well and liked it there just as much as she had in Boston. When she was thirteen, though, her and her father got into a car wreck; he was killed, she was severely injured. It took her seven months to walk again, and two years to recover from the death of her father. When she was sixteen, her mother married a man she worked with at her new job as the record-keeper for a construction company. He seemed kind, but a month after he married her mother, he sexually assaulted Rebecca and began a year of physical, verbal, and sexual abuse on the girl. Finally, after she finished her junior year of high school, she decided to run away with her best friend.
