    Halfstar's muscles rippled beneath his dark tabby pelt as he made his way to top of BrokenCleft. "Let all cats old enough to kill their own enemies, gather beneath BrokenCleft for a clan meeting!" He yowled.


    Dovepaw flattened her ears with a soft moan, and padded outside, and sat beneath her leader.


    Reedkit watched curiously from inside the nursery.

    Crystalshine walked out from the warriors den. She simply padded to where the leader was and seated where they were gathering at. She sighed and looked at her leader.

    Shadowclaw flicked his tail then followed the others and sat under the leader.


    Dustpelt happily trotted to the clearing and sat next to his clanmates.

    Sometimes I wonder why I act the way I do. Why I am always so sad. But one cat changed that. His name is Smokepaw.

    Halfstar looked over his clan scraping a claw on the BrokenCleft, "It's time we've made one of our kits an apprentice." He announced. "Reedkit! Step forward."
    Reedkit gasped and slowly made her way over to BrokenCleft, her whiskers quivering.


    Dovepaw gasped softly, Reedkit was only 3 moons old! She was so young! why was he making her little sister an apprentice already!? Dovepaw watched scornfully frowning.

    Dustpelt didn't flinch at Tendrildeath and kept his gaze strong and angry.

    Crystalshine glared at their leader. 'She's too young!' she thought with a scowl on her face. She hissed a bit but it was silent. She kept her eyes forward, looking at the leader angry but she bit her tongue.

    "SILENCE!!!" Halfstar snarled. "We need more apprentice's, some of our apprentices will become warriors very soon, apprentices are the clans future!" He yowled angrily. Then his yellow eyes fell on Mousepaw. "Since Mousepaw was the one to start this, she will be punished." He growled leaping down BrokenCleft and approaching the apprentice. His claws slid out, his striking yellow eyes narrowed in disapproval. Without any warning, the massive tom pinned Mousepaw down, he claws glistened in the sunlight as he shreaded her tail until there was no fur left, tufts of fur were everywhere. Halfstar grinned cruely and leapt back up BrokenCleft. "Now, would anyone else like to protest?" He asked.


    Dovepaw watched with her eyes round in horror, she faught the earge to speak up for her little sister.


    Reedkit flattened her ears and took a small step back.


    Cloudheart growled, "Well answer me! Do you want to be killed being helpless in water!?" He shrieked.     Crystalshine winced and her ears flattened. She looked away, knowing what their leader would do to show his power. She sighed silently, her voice quivering a bit. She looked at her paws, not wanting to watch.

    Halfstar growled, "Well then, Reedkit, from this day forth until you have earned your warrior name, you will be called, Reedpaw." He meowed. Reedpaw gupled. Halfstar wanted to pick a strong mentor for this week apprentice, "Tendrildeath, you will mentor Reedpaw, I expect you to pass on all your experience to her." Reedpaw slowly approached her mentor, her paws shaking. With one last cold look at his clan, Halfstar nodded, "Clan, dismissed." With that he leaped and padded into his den.


    Dovepaw's eyes were wide with disbelief, of all cats he had to choose Tendrildeath!!


    Cloudheart yowled, "Are you going to let those weeklings that call themselves WaveClan defeat you!!???"     Crystalshine made a small 'eek' sound when her leader spoke. She sighed sadly and padded to Reedpaw." Are you okay?" She mewed to her quiet enough to where they could only hear. She was worried, she had felt her pain. She would be sure to ask Mousepaw the same after.
