this is a remake of a clan I made a while ago. it was still called nightclan, and i am remaking it for the memories. we may be using the same characters, but it is still open to new people and an entirely different plot direction.
long, long ago, a young and daring she-cat named nightbreeze was appointed as a deputy to her clan. her mother, who was very proud of her daughter, took her out to see something as her own personal party. it was a beautiful tree, and it was where her mother had fallen in love with her father. her mother's name was skyripple. skyripple felt that there was something special about this oak tree, as it glew a beautiful silver in the moonlight.
alas, things are enver meant to be perfect. a pack of wandering coyotes sprang upon the two and viciously murdered skyripple right before nightbreeze's eyes. nightbreeze, fraught with fear, was left confused and dazed. she ran straight into camp, and led the coyotes right to their prey. her clan was lost to her, and nightbreeze fled. moons later she returned to her clan's lost territory.
finding a new spot for camp, nightbreeze renames the old camp moss rocks. no one knows that is where the old camp was located. nightbreeze headed to this silver birch, which became known as the Moonoak, and climbed to the highest point, where all the branches intersect and create a mossy bed. she soon fell asleep in the beautiful moonlight and received her nine lives from starclan. and to this day, she is known as nightstar.

moss rocks, mt shuksan, maple falls, [camp], the moonoak and the running river all have pictures! click their names to see!
nightclan resides in a beautiful mountain range that shimmers with beautiful brooks and tall trees. in order to get into the cavern, the camp, you must climb through a hidden tunnel which leads directly inside. To exit the cavern, you can simply follow this tunnel or take the dangerous mountain path, which is often quicker. apprentices must be accompanied by a warrior to take this path. the mountain path means you leap down from ledge to ledge. obviously, to leave through the cavern entrance means you must take the mountain path.
in real life, nightclan is located on mt shuksan and baker lake (silver lake in game), washington state (north cascades national park).
[camp]
elders live in a hole in the wall that has a tunnel connecting to it. it is very warm and is rather roomy!
warriors reside in an open circle of stalactites that open slightly towards the right. it is very cold on the outside, so the head warrior and his senior warriors sleep closer towards the middle.
the nursery is yet to be built. cats are building a bramble thicket, which will be completed ic. it will likely be pressed against the wall.
apprentices are in a small corner of the cavern. they must sleep in the cold, so they usually cuddle together for warmth.
medicine cats live in a tunnel that can be seen as soon as you enter the cavern. it connects to a well-sized pocket where the wall is niched, and herbs are stored there. their nests are also in this spacy hole.
the leader lives in a cluster of rocks, where a small space is in between. moss curtains hang over the entrance. these rocks are quite tall and are known as Red Rock, where the leader calls their meetings.
the glowing cave is a large attachment to the cavern. several shining stones are in here, and a hole in the ceiling shines beautiful moonlight or sunlight upon them. these stones are usually from ceremonies. the leader, deputy, medicine cat, and head warrior's stones are in a row of their own. there are only 8 stones in each row.
cats must exit the cavern to hunt, and are not allowed down the mountain path alone.
running river is a raging white water stream that flows rapidly down to the silver lake. silver lake is a large body of water that shines a bright silver and is clearly visible from nightclan camp.
moss rocks is true to its name. it's a small clearing that has several moss-covered rocks in it. it was the old nightclan camp, and prey is plentiful there.
maple falls is a beautiful waterfall that flows just down the side of the mountain. nightclan's camp is pretty low down on the mountain, so this water source is just a tunnel walk away! small fish is a bountiful form of prey here.
far away from the cavern, down the mountain, is a beautiful silver oak called the Moonoak. it stretches a good 20 feet into the air, and right in the middle of it is where the branches connect. a beautiful bed of silver moss covers the intersection, and cats must climb to reach the bed. once lain there, they immediately fall asleep to dream with starclan.
prey: chipmunks, squirrels, mice, sparrows, trout, other small fish, and the occasional hawk
predators: wolves, coyotes, grizzly bears, wild horses (more a hazard than a predator) (only found in large fields)

promoted to leader.
when the leader dies, a deputy steps up as leader. they must travel to the moonoak, receive their nine lives, and watch over the stones in the Glowing Cave the next night. StarClan is said to walk among the living during these watches.
promoted to deputy.
when the deputy steps down, dies, or becomes leader, a new deputy is named. they must spend a night on watch with the new head warrior on the Star Ledge.
promoted to medicine cat.
when a kit is promoted to medicine cat apprentice, or a MCA is promoted to star healer, they must travel to the moonoak and receive a dream of acceptance. they awaken with a stone from starclan, and place it in the Glowing Cave.
promoted to head warrior.
the leader calls a clan meeting. all the cats gather, and the leader lists mentionable qualities about the warrior they are about to select. they then call the new head warrior's name, and the head warrior must keep watch all night with the deputy on the Star Ledge.
promoted to warrior.
when a cat earns its warrior name. when a cat is named, he/she is presented a pebble from the running river (don't worry, they're not all brown. several of them have many crystal mineral deposits in them.) from the leader, who hand picks this stone themself. the newly appointed warrior must take this stone and sit on the Star Ledge with this stone and keep watch all night. after their watch, which ends when the leader checks on them, the pebble must be placed neatly in a row in the Glowing Cavern.

rainpuddle -- large, strong and hard muscled tom with silver hair tinged around his muzzle. two strange long furs grow down his muzzle, making it look like he has a mustache. he has a soft pelt of pale blue-grey fur. he has a long, sleek tail and piercing, brilliant ice-blue eyes. a scar that parts the fur across his shoulders and a long scar running down one side. -- red

whitewitch -- very light gray if not white tabby she-cat. whe has a very feminine look to her however she has bold muscles in much of her shoulders and hindlegs. along with this, she has a pink cherry nose and silver even not blue eyes. -- alvvy
coaltalon -- coaltalon is a lean, sleek, dappled, smoky grey, almost black tabby tom with a snow-white upside-down V shape above his nose. his nose and the front part of his muzzle is pitch black, and his muzzle is crisscrossed with scars. he is a board shoulder. his right ear is torn. his right side, excluding the tail, is ruffled and littered with scars. he has deep, dark, mixed amber eyes, with the left one cloudy and hazed, because he is blind there. coaltalon also has talon like claws. -- red
cicadasong -- large, slender and lithe pale brown tabby tom with pale mixed emerald eyes, a soft muzzle and a white chest and paws. he has a soft, dense coat and white hair tinged around his muzzle. he has a board shoulder, face and head. he has no noticeable scars. -- red
leopardfang -- stong, thick furred she-cat who is rather youthful in appearance. her fur is almost that of a snow leopard; gray with black splotches and a white underbelly and paws. her eyes are a bright blue, complimenting her pelt quite nicely. -- cinder
owltalon -- hefty, well-muscled tom to who appears plump and round, but he claims its all muscle. his fur is a nice light brown color and he has white from his forehead, through his eyes, around his muzzle, white chest, belly, and paws. he has piercing green eyes. -- stripes
thunderclaw -- broad dark brown tabby with a rather large scar on his left flank due to a fall he had taken when he was an apprentice out training alone. he has large powerful paws. his front left paw is white. His eyes are golden yellow. he has a rather large muscular build, and is a very strong cat, however for this, he isn't the most agile cat. -- dumb
icestorm -- light gray, almost pure white, she-cat. her eyes are a beautiful icy blue. the markings on her pelt are deep gray stripes with a deep gray paw and a black paw. -- thorny
bayside -- bay's fur is the shiniest creamiest color of yellow like melted butter. it's smooth and flat with small white spots barely visible. her eyes are a shocking shade of green like the color of new leaves. her body is slim and sleek and not a hair is out of place on her body. --

foxpaw -- tall and well-built for an apprentice, this Somali cat looks older than his age. foxpaw's fur is thick and dusty red, with a creamy white spot underneath his chin and on his stomach. his eyes are the color of wheat, and they glimmer like he knows something that you don't. marks that look like thin clouds of ash lie over muscled shoulders and wrap around the tip of his long-furred tail. two black dots sit above his large eyes, and above them are two short, triangular ears. -- tem
echinaceapaw -- brown tabby with white paws, underbelly, chest, and muzzle. se has brilliant yellow eyes, similar to the color of yellow echinacea flowers. athough a small and thin cat, tree climbing has given her strong legs. -- murp
lapispaw -- she has short, soft, and thick blue-gray fur. the Russian Blue has vivid green eyes and short whiskers. she doesn't have the strongest build, but is slim and swift. -- murp
quietpaw -- quite small for her age, with small, kit-like paws, but with tough pads. Her whiskers are long, and very thin. quietpaw is also quite lithe, making her very good at running fast. she is agile, because of being lithe also, and she is quite good at climbing trees. her teeth are sharp, and long, and her claws are razor sharp, and long also. her fur is long, fluffy, and is silky to the touch, and it is ginger with grey and white. her tail s long and rather fluffy. -- snowy nights

sparrowkit -- sparrowkit is very very fluffy, his thick fur normally a mess unless he grooms it -which he doesn't do often. his fur is brown in color and it grows darker around his paws and tail-tip. his eyes are forest green, and he has rather sharp claws. -- cinder
stripedkit -- he definitely has a young appearance, but will eventually grow out of it as he lives on. He has thick light gray fur, and his body is covered in pure black mackerel tabby stripes. White splashes are on his paws, like he just jumped carelessly into a bucket of white paint. And on his face lay dark blue eyes. -- stripes
impishkit -- impishkit is a small built cream mink with white coloring of fur in between his eyes, surrounding his muzzle, underneath his chin, on his chest, at the very tip of his tail, and then finally gliding up along his dainty legs. he has a lovely shade of yellow visionaries that sparkle ever so slightly in the sun. his fur is fairly soft, though it gets tangled easily. --mochi

rubysong -- a white scottish fold she-cat. she does not have a single speck of another colour on her pure white coat. her fur is thick and very soft to the touch. her eyes are a beautiful hazel colour and her eyes are quite large. she is on the small side aside from her large belly full of kits, allowing her to fit into smaller places. rubysong's tail is long and like her coat, quite thick and fluffy. -- nottie
