  • Tris smiled, looking back at him with a playful sparkle in her eyes. Laying her head on his shoulders, she looked into his eyes, thinking about their first night together, when he'd caught her stealing. "I never will run away for real," she promised softly.

  • "I would always come looking for you." He smiled gently kissing her. Right now was perfect, but like any other man he was scared that she may say no. But what the heck! you've got to take chances to make something happen. Looking into her eyes he said, "Tris...From the day I meet you in my garage I realized that you where something different. Something special, and when I found you again that night and you didn't run I realized that you where my special someone. And I was wondering if you would be my special someone forever." Smiling he pulled the box out of his pocket and go down on one knee. "Tris...Would you marry me?"

  • Tris' eyes widened in surprise as he opened the small velvet lined box. Her heart jumped in shock and joy. "Oh..... oh..... YES!!!!" She exclaimed, hugging him and nearly knocking him over in the process. Her tail poking up out of her skirt. She blushed, quickly stepping back. "I-I'm sorry... I didn't mean to freak you out or anything...." she whispered shyly.

  • "No...Your reaction was perfect." Knox smiled as he took her hand softly in his and slipped the ring onto her finger before wrapping his arms around her waist and dipping her and kissed her passionately. She was his now, and thats all he ever wanted, was to find someone who made him this happy and helped him forget all the bad things that happened. And she did that.

  • Tris kissed him back passionately. She gently hugged him, full of joy. "So, shall we go save the lion or go home and celebrate?" she joked softly. She was obviously a little nervous, hands shaking slightly and doing her best to make him happy.

  • "I think a great way to celebrate is to take a trip to Africa so that means we should take the lion with us!" He smiled as he took her hand. As they left he snuck an access card out of someone's pocket and stuck in his pocket as they drove to his dads. "Being an ex-thief comes in handy sometimes!"

  • "Ah.... Well, I suppose we should head to that vet shop your uncle owns. I have a few pieces of the lion's hair from the gift shop, so we should be able to clone his DNA. What's next? Dinner?" Tris asked, skimming across the ice towards the car. A lot had changed since he had found her. She wasn't hiding in the shadows or bruised or on the run. Her skin looked clean and healthy and she'd had regular decent meals. You could even see the change in her smile, her eyes full of light and joy as she laughed and talked with him.

  • "I saw we go to one of those really nice restaurants in order to celebrate!" Kissing her softly he started the car and drove towards one he knew had just opened on the other side of town. Knox wasn't like the Knox Tris had experienced only a few months ago. Back then he was angry, confused and upset and the only way he knew to get rid of that anger was to violent for anyone. But know he was happy and not upset.

  • Tris watched her protector driving slowly towards the restaurant. He was beautiful; his gentle but strong features carved with great statuesque lines, like a Greek art piece come to life. His eyes were soft right now, kind and loving. His strength wasn't harsh to her anymore, rather a protective layer that shielded her from the rest of the world. Knox had changed and she could feel it in the way that he treated her. Smiling softly, she lay back and relaxed. "You know you are the most handsome person to ever walk the earth," Tris whispered softly.

  • Knox smiled as he pulled into a parking spot. Hearing the comment he stopped the car and turned towards her smiling. Placing a hand on her cheek and rubbing his thumb on her soft, porcelain like cheek. "And you are the most stunning woman to ever live..." Looking at her face he smiled, seeing the way her face curved and formed. Everything about her was beautiful. And not just her looks, she was so smart and sweet and kind. Kinder than any person he had ever seen. And the fact that she changed him and helped him when he thought all hope was lost was another reason why she was so perfect.

  • Tris gently climbed up onto his lap and gave him a kiss, eyes glowing softly. When she finally pulled away, her face was flushed lightly and her eyes sparkled. "I love you...." The inside of the car smelled like leather and cologne and Tris gently relaxed against his shoulder. She didn't want this to end but a tiny knot in her stomach was slowly reminding her that she was hungry. He probably wanted to eat too. "I suppose we should go eat," she added, slowly slipping off of his lap.

  • Knox smiled hugging her against his chest listening to the music play softly. Hearing his stomach growl softly he smiled and chuckled softly. "Ya...We probably should." But before she could climb off his lap he kissed her softly. Then getting out he opened her door and lead her to the front door of the restaurant.

  • Tris laughed, caught up in the moment. She nodded gratefully as he opened her door and stepped outside, following his lead up to the restaurant doors. The place was amazing, lit with soft golden lights and adorned with various little sculptures. The sign overhead was carved in with ornate black lettering, but Tris couldn't make out the name. Frowning, she turned to Knox, "What is this place called?"

  • "Some fancy French word!" He chuckled trying to read the sign but failing. Soon a waiter lead them to a table on the porch. Small supports for a tarp in the winter was now warped in a string of twinkling lights. Old style lamp post sat in all four corners casting a soft light on the porch. Tea candles floating on water where lite lighting up the table. Sitting down the waiter placed a golden bucket with a glass of fancy wine in it. "Wow...This place is amazing..." He said in awe looking around.

  • Tris laughed softly allowing herself to be led through the restaurant and to a table. Gently settling across from Knox, she glanced at the floating candles and decorative lamps in wonder. "Yeah.... This really is amazing," she whispered, as the waiter handed them two menus. They were made of the finest cream paper with black designs intricately painted around. Everything looked delicious, but Tris waited to see what Knox was getting before making her order. The salmon looked delicious, not to mention the crab stuffed mushrooms. Smiling, she looked at her fiancee. "What are you ordering?"

  • Knox smiled as he looked through the menu. "Well I'm thinking about the steak with lobster and mash potatoes." Smiling he ordered feeling fancy. "I've had steak plenty of times but not lobster!" Chuckling he poured them both a glass of champagne. Handing her one the cheered and he took a sip. The bubbly alcohol slipping down his throat like liquid gold.

  • Tris smiled, glancing at the menu a little longer. "I think I'll have the Atlantic salmon with cilantro and lime rice." Smiling, she accepted the champagne and took a soft sip. It was like liquid gold, except bubbly and somewhat acidic. She let the new liquid slip down her throat, ignoring the protesting shouts of her cat's senses. Smiling lightly, she set the cup down and looked around the restaurant again. "Knox... Than you. For everything. You're... You are just amazing."

  • Knox smiled setting down he glass and took her hands in his hands. Feeling the soft skin under his hard cal laced fingers. "No...Thank you...I probably wouldn't be here today with out. I would probably be mad and upset in some alley drinking away my sorrows." Letting one hand wander to her cheek he smiled rubbing it with his thumb. "Your the light of my life TRis..."

  • Tris laughed lightly. "Some pathetic light, I am. I can't even feed myself. Knox, without you, I would have been locked into a police cell and experimented on for the rest of my life. I would be lucky if they din't kill me or freeze me in an ice tank. It would be a luxury trip if they bothered to give me a hearing," Tris replied, eyes filling with gratitude. She didn't care that people were staring at them. She needed to let him know. Sighing, she looked into his eyes. "I am lucky to be a part of your life, no matter how significant. And, knowing that I helped you in some way, it makes me feel so happy. Fulfilled. I love you, Knox. I owe you everything and I want.... I want you to know what you've saved me from - life in a jar."

  • Knox smiled and leaned across the table kissing her. "See...This is how I knew you where right for me...We both complete each other so much." He could feel it, tonight was the night they could take there relationship to the next physical level. Bitting his lip he said, "How about we skip dinner and go back home..." Hoping she would catch his drift.
