Tris nodded, tapping the cage lightly. "Rahkesh, it's me, Tris. Are you ready to go?" she meowed. A large roar was heard in response and Tris grinned. "Ready as he'll ever be," she translated, for Knox. Stepping over to the window, she pointed to Knox and let out a soft roar. "This is Knox. He's going to help you." Turning back to her fiance, she grinned. "So, now what?"

"Tell him I'm going to come in and put a lead around his neck and take him over to the trailer but he'll have to be quiet. Then were going to get him home and he'll have to hang out while I get a blood sample, we'll run the clone back and then take him to Africa." He explained as he picked the lock. Opening the door he pulled the large red lead out of his pocket and entered the cage , taking a deep breath he walked over to the lion and held out his hand so he could smell him. He knew this is what you would do for little cats but he didn't know about them. [/fancypost]

"No need for a lead," Tris replied, whistling as he opened the cage. The lion came right to her side and she smiled. The lion sniffed both of their hands and sat down with a soft roar. "He likes you," Tris informed. "Go ahead and get the blood sample then I'll walk him over to the van."
-
Knox smiled slipping it back into his pocket. Rubbing the big cat softly on the top of the head he felt his soft pelt in his fingers and chuckled a little. He always wanted a cat when he was younger, it was his dream. Then a thought popped into his head. It was crazy but he stuck it in the back of his head for later. "I'm just going to get a little blood buddy, it shouldn't hurt but if it does just give me a little meow and I'll stop." Smiling he pulled the syringe out of his pocket, un-capping it he went over to the lions side and gently stuck the needle in. Pulling some of the warm, red liquid out he capped it and held a gauze to it so the little bit of bleeding would stop. Smiling he finished up and walked to the front of the lion. "All done bud!" Smiling he kissed the top of the lions head and went to go grab the van.
-
Rakhesh took the needle very well, then smiled and licked Knox's hand in thanks. He climbed into the van alongside Tris and curled up, falling asleep. Tris gently led the lion into the back of the van and closed the door on the trailer, staying with him to keep him comfortable and calm. "Ready to go, Knox!" she called out, curling up by the lion's side and gently petting hhis mane as they pulled out into the streets of the city.
-
Knox started the van and looking around it first before baking up he positioned his mirror so he could see them and took a minute to watch Tris in the back of the van, laying there next to the lion petting it. Reminded him why he loved her so much and wanted to live with her until they both died and then found each other were they would end up. Pulling out of the zoo he took side roads to the house out in the middle of the country that they lived in. Pulling up in front of the garage and opened the back door he smiled and lead the lion into the garage. "Hey...there's some meat in the fridge? Do you think you could go heat it up and we could give it to him?" Knox asked.
-
Tris woke up a few minutes after they pulled into the garage. She silently stretched and woke Rakhesh. The two silently stepped out into the garage and Tris made a bed of blankets for the lion, out of the mainstream though. Nodding to Knox, she ran upstairs and grabbed the few steaks from the fridge. Her hands tore through the plastic wrappings and she tossed away the trash and came downstairs with the plate of meat. Setting the raw meat in front of the line, she grinned as he began to eat. "They like it better raw. It tastes more natural to them, since they're natural carnivores. Hunters by blood," she murmured, then silently washed the blood from her hands.
(Don't they live in an apartment? Maybe he could have a second home; a safehouse of sorts, perhaps?)
-
Ya! I was thinking that maybe they moved to Africa after they took the clone to the zoo so they could take care of lion sine hes always been sheltered.))
Knox smiled as he took the plate and placed it in front of the lion. Scratching him behind the ear Knox stood up and walked over to Tris and took her hands. "Tris...How would you feel if we moved to Africa? I know how much you feel at home with him around and we could build a house out in the wild..." Biting his lip slightly as he looked at her.
-
(That's a great idea. Let's do it!)
Tris grinned. "That'd be amazing! I always wanted to go travel somewhere. It'd be even better with you." She hugged him, letting his strong arms fold around her. Kissing him gently, she looked up into his eyes. "You're the best," she added softly.
(Sorry it took me so long to reply. I've been very busy but I will try to answer the other threads soon too.)
-
Oh no problem! I totally understand!))
Knox smiled down at her as he felt her lips graze his. "I love you Tris..." He said softly as he found his arms around her waist. Kissing her deeply as he held onto her. This is what he always dreamed of as a kid. A fairytale life. It may not seem that way to some people but it was for him.
-
Tris smiled and pulled away a little later, heading upstairs to make them dinner. Spicy lamb chops, mashed potatoes, and green beans with garlic sauce. She set the delicious array out onto the table then called down to Knox. "Hey, hun! Dinner's ready!" As he came up the stairs, she excitedly came over and hugged him then led him to the table. "So, when are we going?"
-
"When ever you want sweetie." Knox smiled kissing her softly before sitting down at the table. "This looks so good!" He mused as he cut up the chicken and took a bite. The flavor covered his taste buds and made them dance. It filled him with such joy seeing her this happy. "How about we pack up and head out tonight so the big man doesn't have to stay alone for anytime."
-
Tris smiled, kissing him back. She settled down to eat, enjoying the succulent taste of the lamb chops. She nodded in agreement. "Sounds great, honey." After finishing their dinner and the dishes, Tris headed upstairs to pack. "How are we going to transport a lion to Africa?" she asked curiously, placing her few remaining clothes into her suitcase.
(I'm so sorry. Back now. )
-
Take as much time as you need! I don't mind!))
"Have you meet me!" Knox chuckled at her last question as he took another bite of his food. Finishing it up he placed the dish in the water that filled the sink. Looking at my phone I went to our room and began to pack my stuff. "I hope you don't mind but where going to drive up to the coast real quick and my dad's meeting us there with a pal of his who owns a ferry. There going to take us to Africa and well drive to where we want to live." Watching for her reaction as I mentioned my dad.
-
Tris ~
I grinned at his response. It was true; he always had an answer for everything, I thought. My hands silently fumbled for the zipper on my suitcase, as I listened to him carefully outlay his plan. It sounded pretty simple. Meet some folks at a ferry, go to Africa, and find a place to live. Definitely not foolproof or anything, but easy to follow. My mind suddenly backtracked through what he had said, singling out two words "my dad". My hand froze, the bag half closed as I slowly looked up at Knox. "...Your dad?" I asked slowly. Maybe I had misheard.

"He's just going to make sure we get on the ferry and then he's leaving...I promise." Placing my lips softly on the skin of her neck I made my way up from the base of the neck to her cheek. "You know how much I love you?" Smirking I took her hand and kissed the wedding ring I had bought her gently. Looking up at her as are eyes met. -
Tris ~
I blushed, gently kissing him as he looked into my eyes. "Thank you, Knox. I guess I'm just scared. Your dad... Well, he wasn't always a good guy... You know that as well as I do though... And it's not your fault. You always protect me..." I murmured, looking at the ground. Gently embracing him, I whispered, "Thank you."

"As long as I am around no one will ever hurt you...And if they do...Well then they will have to go threw me!" I chuckled softly at my last comment and brushing some hair out of her eyes I kissed her softly. "You packed?" I asked as I was all ready. It didn't take me much time to pack considering I didn't have many things of my own. -
I nodded, brushing back a long strand of silky red hair from my eyes. "All ready to go," I whispered, kissing his cheek then wandering downstairs. I helped Rhakhesh into the car. After Knox and I had placed the luggage in the trunk, I climbed into the front with him and rolled down the window. Night time was always beautiful.

Rolling down the windows I turned the radio on and sang along softly to the songs I knew. A free hand in hers as I rubbed it softly. Getting to the ferry I noticed my fathers car and seeing him I just simple nodded and drove onto the ferry not really wanting to talk to him. Once on the ferry I turned off the truck and looked at Tris. "Want to get out and stretch your legs and get something to eat?" This was a ferry they used very often during the day so there was a small food court open.
