  • I was hesitant. Maybe it was a father thing I don't know still I nodded and gently passed her to Max. "That's to bad but why don't you mind? I'd be going insane wanting to see my kids. Maybe that's why Belinda said I could keep Carly. Is there a place to put her stuff the car is rather loaded with it right now."

  • Max gently took her into his arms, bright eyes flickering, "When I signed the papers off I was already hurt by the divorce and she cheated on me. I unfairly took that out on my children. But I can still see them during my trips to Italy, she agreed to that much." Max laughed softly it'd been forever since he last held a baby.
I turn from the sight, "There's a spare guest room next to the library that connects to a nursery, You could have that room~"

  • "Oh Ok. Yeah sorry to just spring this all on you guys. The fact that like an hour ago Belinda and I were still together even hurts me." I said seeing Max with Carly. "What should we do now? I hope I wasn't interupting anything before." Carly just rested in Max's arms a smile on her face.

  • I wrapped my arms once more around myself, "Nope we were just chatting idly."

  • (She seems like she mad or sad about something.)

I noticed the crossed arms. "Did you want to hold her for a bit? I would like Max to help me carry the stuff in. We can get it done faster that way." I said hoping that would make it better. 'Is she mad? I don't know any more. I used to know when she was just about any emotion and what to do to stop it but now...' I let out a sigh.

  • I shrugged softly, "Hm sure, I'm exhausted." I offered some sort of explanation for my strange attitude. Max passed Carly over, gently I cradled her against my chest, once again cooing softly. "I'll be in the library." I murmur disappearing inside with the small child. Max frowned after I was gone, "Since that idiot started beating on her she hasn't been the same.... It's so hard to read her."

  • "Yeah she told me about him." I said with a scowl. "I hope I did the right thing and left Carly in good hands for the moment at least." I added and opened the car. The largest thing was there was many pieces to the crib. Beyond that there were a few toys, and a diaper bag with supplies.

  • Max nodded in agreement, "I broke hiswrist...When week after she moved back. She had bruises on her neck, like she does now. She went back to him, keeps doing it over and over. She's left him four times returned three. Maybe you can stop her."

  • I looked angry but I was actually holding most of it in. "I sure hope so. I don't want to have to make him disappear but if I have to I will. Why does sh keep going back?" I asked but realized it was rather stupid. People did it all the time. The don't really have anything else to go to so they go back. The person acts nice at first then it's back to how they were.

  • "He apologizes and is really nice and sweet, she goes back and calls three days later sobbing and crying. " Max explained softly, "Aroura doesn't deserve that, She's beautiful, smart, successful. And all he sees her as a trophy girlfriend. He's one of those models."

  • I growled at that. "Fine. No disappear but I'll make that arrogant a** pay." I began to unload the stuff from the car. "Will she be meeting him again anytime soon?"

  • "Not that I know of," Max took a load from the car, "She doesn't talk much about him."

  • "Right. Makes sense." I said. "Let's stop talking for now. We can continue later. If we find time alone." I said before carrying a couple parts of the crib to the door.

(Time to play with Carly. Forgot how old she was. She's 3 months.)

Carly started to squirm and her face scrunched right before she burst out into crying. Her arms flailed wildly.

  • Max nodded and headed towards the door.

I frown softly, bouncing the child gently. "Shh...." I wasn't sure exactly what to do.

  • I drew near to the room and heard the crying. I put down the part I was carrying and ran right over to her. "What's the matter?" I asked more for Carly then Aurora. "I'll be right back." I said and raced off to the car. I knew that cry well enough. I had learned it over the two months before. She was hungry.

  • I sigh softly, swaying softly and still trying to calm the screaming baby.

  • Not long after I come back in. "Here. It's the only one made up." I said handing the bottle to Aurora. "Unless you want me to feed her." I added with a smile.

  • "I've got it, thank you." I murmur switching from holding Carly up right to cradling her, and gently pressed the bottle against her lips.

  • On cue she took the bottle and started to drink it down. I smiled. "Thanks." I said and went to get more stuff.

  • I laugh softly, gently easing into a chair. I just fell in love with the infant. "You're so cute...~!"
