Unconsciously Salem relaxed his hand enough to actually lace his fingers more comfortably through Deans, casting one last look over his shoulder at the darkened streets before the forest swallowed the view.

Dean glanced down at his hand for a moment; when was the last time he had actually held hands with someone? Not that he was much of the hand-holding type. Or that this hand-holding with a human actually counted. He dismissed his thoughts, looking ahead. In the distance, there seemed be be a faint glow, accompanied by a bit of sound interrupting the silence of the night.
-
Finally Salem just stopped, refusing to move any longer, "Where are we going."
-
Looking back, Dean raised his eyebrows. "Don't you trust me, Salem?" He asked, eyes wide and innocent and gave the other boy's hand a gentle tug.
-
"Trust you?!" He asked incredulously, "I don't even know you. Look, I'm a 17 year old boy who acts way to young for his age and has a irrational amount of fears, one of which is being killed by demons, and another is the dark." Salem tugged back as well, still very unsure.
-
Seventeen? Hm.
Dean shook his thoughts away, and gave Salem a patronizing look, "See over there? It's light. And I'm here to...protect you from demons. So it's fine."
-
Salem scowled, his eyes a dancing color of either grass green or water blue, they seemed rather confused. "I. don't. even. know. you." Salem exasperatedly explained, "For all I know you could be a demon, or a murderer, or gods I don't know! Just," He sighed, "Fine."
-
Somewhere inside him, Dean felt a little bad for this trickery. But now was not the time to let those feelings show. Or any time, for that matter. He just smiled again, "Then let's go."
As they drew closer, the noise became clearer, sounding like music. The glow came from flashing lights inside a building within a small clearing. Dean looked down at Salem, "Ready?"
-
After many music filled moments, and his eyes turning a glowy orange he nodded. Still slightly terrified for what's to come.
-
Dean gave Salem's hand a little comforting squeeze, then approached the building. At the door, two bouncers, both large men appearing to be in their mid-twenties, stood on either side of the door. When the pair got closer, one of the broke out in a smile, "Dean! I was wondering if you'd show up."
The bouncer glanced down at Salem, "Who's the kid?" Dean gave him a little smile, "Jackson, meet Salem. Salem Bishop." Jackson's smile faltered for just a moment, but quickly regained composure, "Well go right ahead, guys."
-
Salem, of course, shrank away from the two bouncers. He didn't really live up to his richy rich name, his eyes flickered green, still trembling softly.
-
Jackson drew open the door for the pair. The music was loud, the bass pounding almost shaking the entire building. It seemed there were hundreds packed into the small room, all dancing in a mob. Dean led Salem to a slightly more secluded area, where a slender girl with long curled black hair sat.
She smiled when she saw the new arrivals, "Dean!" She stood, giving Dean a quick kiss on the cheek, her hand lingering on his shoulder as she looked down at Salem. "Got a new boytoy then?"
-
Salem narrowed his eyes up at her, "And you are?" He asked
-
The girl smirked, "Cassidy. You're boyfriend Dean here is a... good friend of mine."
"Play nice," Dean murmured, but didn't keep a smile off his face. "His name is Salem Bishop."
Cassidy raised an eyebrow, looking back down at Salem, "You're Bishop's kid?" She glance at Dean, "You really can pick 'em."
-
Salem frowned slightly, fingers itching to reach for his phone but knew it was useless. "Yeah....Why? I mean it shouldnt matter to you, unless...." His eyes flickered teal, and he bit his lip.
-
Cassidy rolled her eyes, "Everyone knows about the Bishops. Whether or not they despise the family, like myself, is up each person, but everyone knows of them."
Dean shot her a glare, at which Cassidy laughed, "Lighten up pretty boy." She leaned in, whispering something in Dean's ear that Salem couldn't hear. When she stepped back, Dean was frowning. "That wasn't part of the deal."
-
Salem took another look around, "Dean, I should be going... My father is expecting me."
