    Gossip might be the best way to start the conversation. Say, Rarity has been showing weakness to her new stallion neighbor, which will soon lead to a confession. Then, Twilight will start talking about another one of the mane six's love life, which will get her thinking about her crush on Applejack.


    After pondering on the thought, she finally decides to say something about it. Of course, being that she is drunk, it'll come out direct and sudden, catching Applejack off guard.

    IC: Just as Twilight was about to finish her third alcoholic beverage, her lavender gaze shifted to the last bottle in the container. From there, her eyes shot a glance at Applejack before returning to the bottle. It's mine!

    "Sugarcube, I'm worried for you" Applejack said "But if ya'll are 100 percent sure, then go ahead". The farm pony had a worried expression upon her face.

    With the reassuring words from the farm pony, Twilight gladly grabbed the last bottle from the container. As Twilight looked over at Applejack, she could not help but notice something different about her. It might have been the blurred vision playing tricks on her, but she could have sworn Applejack had a different mane style.


    "Did you do something with your mane?" Twilight decided to ask, groggily pointing her hoof at the blonde hair. "It looks like somethin' Rarity would do." She commented with a drunken chuckle.

    "Well, she tried" Applejack said "For some reason, she wants me to change mah mane. Talkin' about Rarity have your heard about her and her neighbour?"

    "A thing?" Twilight echoed, completely oblivious to what 'a thing' meant. She was never too good with the love concept and it's defining affects on ponies. No matter how many books she had read about love and... other things in that category, she would always miss the obvious signs of true love.


    True love. A love more powerful than any element in Equestria. This was what caused Twilight great confusion. Every time it was brought up, the purple Alicorn would think of something completely different than the said subject. Even when she was expecting the subject to come up, it would always slip past her unnoticed. Every time.

    "It's not fer certain, but they say that Rarity and 'im have been havin' some romantic involvement" Applejack explained. Sheknew the alicorn wasn't the beston the subject oflove,and tried to explain it the best she could.

    "They are together as a couple? Like, a relationship couple?" Twilight almost wrapped her thoughts around the subject, but they backfired like a rubber band outstretched to it's limits. "Where'd you hear that from?" She decided to find the source of such gossip instead of ask more obvious questions about 'what is relation'.

    "There's just some news goin' around. Ah hear it all the time from the Apple Family stand" Applejack replied. She wondered why Twilight was being so curious, but she did like knowledge, so it was understandable.

    Sorry, I have been quite distracted the past few weeks, fireworks and being identified as an adult. My muse level just cannot withstand like it used to.



    IC: I wonder who else has feelings toward a pony... Twilight pondered to herself, placing a hoof on her chin in thought. Her gaze instantly shifted to Applejack as she her thoughts wondered around. Does she have feelings for anypony? Does she have feeling like I have feelings for her? These questions were the loudest of her thoughts, making it difficult to push them away without answering them.


    "Speaking of gossip, is there anypony in the Apple Family yearning for love? No pony in pacific, but preferably the children of the family." Twilight attempted to be as discrete as possible about the direction her question was going.

    "Not as far as ah know" Applejack said, looking deep in thought. "Though as ya'll can guess, love is not tha most unwelcome thing in Equestria" she added. The farm pony took off her stetson and looked over at Twilight. "'Tis a bit hot in here"

    But it is in the middle of fall!


    Now that Applejack had mentioned it, it was quite warm in the room, making it uncomfortable to sit still.


    "I'll use a spell to cool the room off slightly." Twilight spoke quickly, her horn flaring just as quickly. Instead of glowing it's normal purple hue, her horn encased itself in ice. Though it looked quite cold, Twilight could only feel the warmth of magic flowing through her body.


    Of course, that wasn't the only warmth she was feeling. As her eyes opened slightly, she could not help but notice Applejack without her hat, her mane completely exposed. It was odd seeing her without her stetson on.


    This distraction caused Twilight to switch spells without thinking. Instead of cooling off the room, her icy horn turned back to a purple hue before flashing around her body. Suddenly, Twilight was ported above Applejack.


    With a surprised yell, the purple Alicorn came falling down on top of the farm pony.

    "Twilight!" Applejack yelled in surprise. "What the hay are ya doin'?". The farm pony looked up at the purple alicorn. Was this the alcohol or something else? Shelooked at Twilight for a moment longer.


    (I needed an excuse, plus, if it were cold outside, there would be some way to warm it up,which wouldlead to the possibility of it getting a bit too hot.)

    The italicized text was Twilight's thoughts. I should have clarified that.


    IC: "I-I'm sorry! I g-got distracted!" Twilight's face was full on red as she stuttered her words. She attempted to stand up, but she could not find enough footing to lift her off of the mare. Instead, she tried to flap her wings to get into the air, but that did not work either.


    As she struggled, she could feel the heat beaming off of Applejack's coat, causing her to blush even more.

    Applejack tried to slip out from under Twilight, however, the purple alicorn's struggling was making that task very difficult. "Twilight! Stop struggling! Just let me get out from under ya!". The farm pony said, then seeing Twilight's blush, she decided to ask "Wait. Distracted by what?"

    "That information is undisclosed!" Twilight replied quickly, her hooves covering her muzzle. Her wings had propped themselves up, deeply showing the tension she was in.
