In year 3175 humnity is on the brink of extinction. Not only because of the wars which helped with decreasing the population, but also because of a plague which decimated the remaining humans.
Right now, the plague has just been stopped, but there are side effects to everything.
People realised that this became a problem only when schools became empty and when families with kids were envied.
As each day passed, the number of children decreased. The remaining kids and teenagers from cities were being used as experiments, each detail of their life being analysed by scientists, a small group of wealthy people. The teens don't know eachother, until a new experiment is being started.

(Okay so I tried to make a plot, but I'm not feeling too well, so this is the best I can do. Literally. But the writnned plot isn't as important as the actual plot in our heads that we will Rp with XD So...since we know the characters, we can begin whenever you want to.)

  • (It's perfect. Our brains matter more than anything and it's good as it is. Let's begin this beauty, shall we? I can give this a kick-start right now. *0* )

    D A M A R I S - L E O P O L D

[justify] The evening wind howled with a hint of rain over the rooftop he stood astound. Clouds crowding in and caging the rays of light from the dim sun came in and flew away in seconds. The weather was confusing. It wasn't sure of itself. Was it going to rain? Or was the sun coming back with its delight? It clearly was befuddled. Damaris stood with his arms crossed simply doing nothing. He was, as he called it 'admiring the nature'. He did that a lot. According to him everything needed appreciation, especially beauty. And he was careful to do so. Complimenting everything charming was a part of his personality. He took in a mouthful of fresh air and sighed. Persian black hair flown back and golden irises gleaming with surprise. Nature was in its own way extremely admirable. But the nature of nature was unpredictable. And he liked that.
A loud voice called him from somewhere downstairs, it was the mother shouting his name and clearly unhappy. The boy had yet again left his room uncleaned-as usual. He had left the match with a victory and from the shouts in his room had lost a video game. Then without a pause he had spent minutes gazing up at the sky, 'admiring beauty' as he called it. The mother wondered if her one and only son was going crazy every second. She didn't see anything quite good-looking about the weather. She was fretting over the fact that what would he have to face if his observers found out he wasted a total of one hour standing on the rooftop. Simply not something normal people do. His last girlfriend probably left him for that reason. She stamped her foot and called yet again.
"DAMARIS, COME DOWN THIS SECOND OR I'LL BURN YOUR GAMES." She threatened angrily. She wasn't going to do that. The games were quite expensive.
Footsteps raged and he took a slide downstairs, appearing with his usual smirk, " 'Sup?"
"Do you know what time is it?"
"Rain time? Lunch time? Oh, don't tell me...is it-"
    "Yes."
"Ugh," He scratched his chin and came up with a dramatic face, "Leaving this beautiful place and you is not a job for me to do." He sang.
"Stop it, Damaris. Grow up. Get ready and go."
"Oh my. You can't bear my presence, mother? Is that it, mother? Is that it?"
    "Damaris..."
"You have broken my heart, it's in pieces, a million little tiny miniature invisible unshaped broken-"
    "DAMARIS!"
"Okay, okay!!" He sighed stepping back.
After a quick bath, he wore one of the lab-given-clothes. They were similar to the ones he had but were uncontaminated and cleaner...whatever. He knew he was being monitored like the rest of them and his moves were being checked. Every month, every 20th they were all to gather in the Center Hall of the Research facility. There names all recorded and faces recognized. They were tested and analysed clearly, a detailed check-up. And they were to be there at any cost. The serum they were injected with eight years ago had yet to bear fruit. But now there were less people to hope and less to experiment. The world was shrinking. The population crammed in sections. It was a routine and they were used to it. Of course there were possibilities but no one thought about them actually happening. For now, they lived. Just lived. And a little hoped.
He shrugged his thoughts away and left the house with one dramatic wave, "Farewell mother!"
His mother smiled gently, "Bring me news!" She winked.
"Oh shush you, mother!" He smirked and went out, suddenly in the presence of calmer wind. The clouds were all apart and gone. Clear blue sky taking its place. Looking up, he could see the spiral top of the Research facility. A cab awaited at the side, they had been kind enough to provide that. Or maybe they just didn't trust the teenagers. The cab had no wheels and worked with magnets located underneath the area. He stepped inside the sphere and said Hello to the man in a plain uniform who didn't bother to answer him. The were never supposed to answer unless it was something urgent. The car rode smoothly on the deserted roads, finally and gradually nearing the huge facade of a building.

( Apologies for the length if so, in advance. Is it okay? :] )

  • ((Sorry it took me so long to post, last days of school and my teachers are killing me. ))

    Melody Nightingale

"But dad I don't want to come with you to work..." the ebony-haired girl sighed as she trailed off behind her father.
"I already told you, you have to come with me today. No more arguing, go change. "
She pouted and narrowed her steely blue eyes at him, but seeing that it made no difference for him and that he was unusually calm and composed today, resisting everything she tried to convince him, she turned on her heel and strode away towards her room.
The walk took a while, as her house was one of the biggest mansions around, her father being the one in charge of testing the children and teens of the area. In a way, she was happy ...well she was happy in all ways, because she never had to participate in experiments, and she lived a pretty normal life.
If you can call her life normal.
Entering her room, she slammed the door shut, and after a quick shower, she changed in black skinny jeans, a black tank top and black combat boots, and put on one of the white lab coats she was supposed to wear.
She found it funny that the pockets of the lab coat were in fact quite useful, since her sketchbook, pen and the book she was currently reading could fit in there.
After brushing her hair, letting the long fringe cover her right eye, she just took her headphones and went out in the livingroom, where her father was already waiting, wearing a similar lab coat.
"Glad to see you were quick, Melody. "
She just nodded and followed him outside where a cab was waiting for them. Melody then blocked everything else out, focusing on the book she was reading.

    Ryan Evans

He yawned and stretched, the looke doutside trough the small window next to his bed.
"Great. Not even the weather is with me today..." he mumbled silently, gazing with dissapointment at the dark clouds in the sky, preventing the sun rays from reaching him.
He sighed softly and stood up, stretching his muscles, and then looked at the clock hanging on the wall.
"No way...only 20 minutes? " he cried out, and immediately darted towards the bathroom.
In just a few minutes he ran back inside, red-brown hair still dripping with water as he put on his clothes. He hated having to wear what the lab gave him, since he didn't quite liked to be controlled like that.
he slowly made his way to the kitchen, where just as expected, his mother was waiting for him.
"Late again huh?" she smirked in amusement.
"It was not my fault, why didn't you woke me up? " he protested, takign a bite of toast.
"Not your fault? I tried to wake you up 4 times. Next time, I will probably throw water on you. " she replied, watching his eyes widen at the thought. He never was one to like wakign up, especially if forced.
"Fine fine, I'll try to wake up earlier. i'll go now..." he muttered dejectedly, shoulders slumped and hair covering his eyes.
"Don't act, I know you too well. You may not like having to go there, btu you like getting away from me. Just be careful okay? " she smiled softly.
"As always..." Ryan answered and walked outside.

  • (Nah, it's foine. Though I had been extremely hyper and crazy in all the waiting... :p)

    Damaris Leopold

Damaris had checked again and again. Where was the I.D card? Freak! Without the I.D the machine wouldn't let him in. He scorned it yet again, "Aren't my beautiful gold eyes enough?" He stared. The machine said, 'Unidentified' in red yet again. "Well. Screw you." He shuffled around in his pockets. Nope. He clearly remembered putting the thing in his pockets when he had left his house. All he could do now was search the first floor which was an open area for anyone. There was a little cafe area with little seats and boxed food. And that's where he had first recognized his I.D was gone. He had been randomly wandering around, munching on a snack because he didn't want to listen to the initiation speech. Somewhere at the back of his mind his brain had alarmingly said, "Do you have your I.D card?" Okay...that wasn't his brain. It was another teenage, munching on the same snacks. And that made him search for it in his pockets and find it disappear. He had been searching since and had been unsuccessful. This was his last try at finding and so he planned to scan the whole area before reporting.

    Veleda Aven

The windows vibrated, not because of the wind but with the loud waves of the musical beats inside. A middle-aged lady knocked the tenth time but apparently it had no effect. Her daughter was in one of her rehearsals and didn't want any disturbance. Knocking for the eleventh time, the mother gave up and threw herself on the door, pushing it open. Wide violet eyes stared back at her and hurried to lower the volume.
"Now look what you made me do!"
"Um...sorry..." The slender girl smiled weakly.
    "Every single day, Elle!"
"Good exercise..." She suggested, casually making a higher ponytail of her mass of dark hair.
"I am too old for this!"
" 'Kay, mum. 'Kay. Calm down. Sssh..."
Her mother narrowed her eyes at this. What was the girl doing? A gentle smile crawled on her face, "Get ready. Test day."
The girl threw her hands and sighed exasperatedly, "AH! What? Again!?" She groaned.
"Yes, again. Now wear your uniform-"
    "Stop calling it uniform-"
    "The lab dress-"
    "It's not a dress, mum."
    "The clothes they gave you-"
"Why would they do that, I mean-"
    "ELLE. Let me finish!"
" 'Wear your uniform after getting a bath and go now. Oh look, the cab is already here. Be quick. You always do this....' " The girl mimicked, "Right. Okay. I get it." Veleda had always hated going to the Research Facility. She saw the place as a trap, a cage. She didn't liked the building, it was ugly and stupid- she didn't liked the people in white coats ordering stuff at them, treating them like lab-rats. She hated the scientists, not only because they had an air of superiority around them. But also because of what her family had faced because of those inhuman people. To her the whole invention had been a failure. She believed the scientists only did the tests because they didn't want people at their doors. So to give them hope, hope of the impossible, they went on doing something that was long gone. The experiment probably was an excuse. Why didn't they test it on their own children? They were animals. And she couldn't bear them much.
"I don't see the point," she grumbled, repeating something she said every 20th. The same old discussion.
"There is a point. Now go." He mother didn't wanted another argument. But Veleda had other plans.
"What if they succeed?" She inquired. That was a new question, her mother was taken-aback.
    "Well...then, we'll... I don't know..."
"What if I succeed? Will they force me to marry someone?" She laughed airily.
"Maybe. Someone good looking for sure. " He mother said, amused.
"No, really. Think about it. What if it's a success? On me. Why would anyone marry me? Moreover I don't want to get involved in this."
"You will have to. For humanity."
"Geez, mom. You want me to create a population on my own?!" Veleda gasped, terrified. "THAT'S HORRIBLE."
Her mother cackled, "A bit of it at least."
    "God...No..."
Her mother was still too amused to stop herself.
"No one will marry this beauty!" She exclaimed, pointing at herself.
"Now, now. You're the most wonderful daughter in the world."
"From the very few there are..."
    "Well..."
"From the very few who survived." She had stabbed a wound. Her mother's eyes glistened and she gave a small gasp. Veleda was sorry. She wanted to apologize. But instead she turned around and said in a hollow tone, "It's all nonsense. I just wish I'd be with you forever."
"You will. With your population of Veleda's and Davids." Her mother knew how to turn a conversation. This made them both laugh for at least a minute.
Afterwards, she did the same routine of turning into her specific clothes and carefully hiding the single strip of silver hair under her black hoodie. She took her headphones and nail polish and the remover to do something in the elevators. She wore crazy looking black hiking boots. Her right arm had been fractured a while back but was healing rapidly. Looking outside the window it was a good enough reason to wear gloves. She didn't want any unwanted attention because of the bandage. As for the monitoring staff, she'd answer them later with a false tragic story. Without a goodbye, she slipped inside the cab. "Looking nice, Cob." She smiled playfully. She had been calling him Cob from a long time Cob wasn't his name though. But since he never talked or answered anything, she decided to call him Cob anyway. Sometimes she could see him annoyed which was fun. She had received one horrified glare once when she had kindly asked him, "Hey, Cob. Need some lipstick?" He had been terrified but had said nothing nevertheless, staying loyal to his job. She gave him mercy anyway.
The rode swiftly and came to a halt in front of pearly white walls and a steely colored gate. After entering, she made her way to the front without a glance around and walked up to a reception screen. She showed it her I.D card and opened her eyes wide for the scan lasers. A green 'Pass' appeared and she entered the elevator doors that were to take her all the way down to the hall. And further to the labs. The elevator stopped at many levels, collecting people who were at different places for a different reason. People usually preferred a daily check-up before a detailed one, which was held at the second level. After that, they took the elevators to the third level down. Fourth level was for the scientists and their researches. And nobody knew what the fifth one was for.
Without further thought, she slumped down on the floor, legs crossed and took out her nail polish pen. Who was looking and who cared anyway? She didn't care if anyone came in from the second floor. She liked sitting here, and she was tired, and the floor was cold...no excuses needed! She simply didn't care.

    (Let's meet. *o*)

  • (yay ^^ Me too. Though I am torn between many things. Watching Black butler (I'm at ep. 6 and IT IS AMAZING!), and writing, cause I'm at chapter 3 of a new story I haven't posted yet AND I AM SO EXCITED!!! and then there's this, which is completely awesome, and I must say, I love your OCs!)

    Melody Nightingale

When she reached the destination, she followed her father out of the cab and inside the building.
However, she was following him blindly, her gaze still on the pages of the book.
She was one of the few people who still had access to books, and so she often spent most of her time reading. This turned out to be the worst time of all though, as at the first group of scientists that passed by, she gazed up and, if possible to be even whiter, turned pale.
"Uh...dad? I hope this isn't a joke or anything..." she called out, looking in every direction. Nothing.
"My first time here and I already get lost." she muttered, and tucked the book under her arm as she began walking. She figured that if she was lost, she might as well explore the place a bit without being told what to do.

    Ryan Evans

Bored like he never had been in his life, he stepped out of the cab and walked towards the building. After sucessfully finding his ID card and getting recognised, he stepped into the elevator.
Paying attention to the surrounding world again, he noticed a girl sitting down on the floor and walked over to her. (Neleda)
Adding to the fact that he had never seen anyone even close to his age, she was also the interesting one. He flopped down next to her without any second thoughts and smiled. He surely wasn't one to get unnoticed either.

  • (So much going around in yer head. o.o I just have this wonderland. *o* And thankus, yours are lovely too. I already ship 'em!! Though I have no idea how exactly they are going to get together. :p Zis will be fun.)

    Damaris Leopold

"Have you seen an I.D card around?" He asked yet again but of course nobody had. The place was always squeaky clean with a shine. He repeated everything in his brain, everything he had done since he had arrived. But losing the I.D card was nowhere in his memory. 'I hate you, brain. Stop keeping secrets from me. Seriously, brain. Where does your loyalty lies?' He passed a group of scientists and made his way in the opposite. He wished the card was made of metal and he had a ginormous magnet...but then the whole building would probably collapse and take everything with it. But won't that be cool though? He wouldn't have to worry about the I.D card no more. 'Brain, this is the last time. Stop joking around.'
The idea of the magnet crossed his mind as he looked down on the tiles for a sign. His mother's voice telling him of his carelessness echoed in his mind but he shook it away. He took another turn and saw a tip of silver under black boots. He looked up and noticed a white coat. Great. He had to go through this scientist now. But the scientist was in fact a girl his age. Since when did they started recruiting teenagers?
"Um, excuse me?" He tapped on her shoulder. "That is something important to me." Well, not really, but scratch that. He said motioning under her feet, "Since you don't need one yourself, will you mind stepping a-w-a-y...?" He said as slowly and dramatically as possible. Like talking to someone who couldn't understand normal language.

    Veleda Aven

Lost in her world, she took out her fingers one by one and started painting them. The elevator doors opened and closed, somebody had walked in. She ignored the presence for the while and kept on painting efficiently fast. He nails had shades of blue and green now. She flashed them in her eyes and felt a body slump beside her. What? Nobody ever joined her. That was new. People usually just stood in a corner as far as they could and stared at the freak below. She turned her head sharply, exposing her face and examining the other. Fiery red hair and emerald eyes. Some dude. She hadn't seen many and this one had an air of annoyance. She didn't liked people in general and friendly ones were just annoying at some point.
"Well, hello. I see you've taken a huge part of my space." She said monotonously, narrowing her eyes. "Move, random person. I occupied this territory first."

The post was edited 1 time, last by Dawns Edge ().

  • (Wonderland? O.O I want one too! But yeah, I have a milion thoughts a second, and people say I'm random, but I just think fast and that's why I have sort of messy handwriting when I write fast, but it's with lots of loops and swirls, so no one really understands my handwritin....what was I saying?
Aaaah i ship them too! Sometimes I wonder....when people in future will have to study us, they wil think we're obsessed with boats!)

    Melody Nightingale

As soon as she heard someone coming, she closed her eyes and took a deep breath. You can deal with this, just act normal and maybe he will go away... she thought, but then again, she had no idea how to be normal, so it wasn't an option. She turned around and looked at him, raising an eyebrow.
Is he possibly under the impression that I'm stupid?
"Listen here alien..." she began slowly, picking up the ID card from under her boot and looking at it. "If you didn't want this to end up at someone else, you wouldn't have misplaced it. " she stated dryly.
"Second, I am going to need your help. " she added looking back at him.

    Ryan Evans

"Oh why, you magnificent human being, insult me in that horrific way~" he sang dramatically, turning his head away. Apart from being amusing, he was pretty sure he would annoy her, but it was worth it. he was borred.
Clearing his throat and looking back at her, he tried to put on a serious expression.
"You can't simply occupy the territory. But we can have a war if you want!" he said, trying his best to remain calm and not to laugh.
"You don't really seem to be the chatty type by the way. I'm Ryan. " he smiled.

  • (Messy handwriting buddies! *highfive*
Haha! And don't forget canons...People might get extremely confused as to why someone could be so obsessed with boats...)

    Damaris Leopold

Damaris took a moment to register the super-annoyed tone. A grin appeared when he was acknowledged as an alien and he answered, "Correction: I did not misplace it. I merely lost it in one of my important ventures. Which were essential for my hunger needs." He said, looking serious and mature to add effect. He grabbed the card from her hand and slipped it in his pocket.
After hearing the next phrase, he retracted. "Wait, why? Nobody usually needs my help. People usually dread the day when they'll need my help..which will be highly unlucky circumstances, poor them...where was I? Right. Okay." He looked back with a loopy smile and added, "Ask away, my lovely."

    Veleda Aven

Veleda hid away her probable shock with a raised eyebrow. She thought for a while for something correct to say, but she was too used to saying whatever came up in her mind. "You're one interesting human, aren't you?" She mused, "You're right, I am not. And I don't want any conversation here." She clearly wasn't in a mood of a conversation. Neleda was never an anti-social, she simply hated people at first. And having some random guy try being incredibly different and nice was something she couldn't comprehend. She took the act alarmingly and readied herself to act in her usual way. The threatening way of hers.
She opened her nail polish and got on her knees, swiftly now inches away from this apparent company. "Listen here, sweetheart. I am not the kind you think I am-" She hissed, literally on his face. "You've got two options." She counted a finger of her un-gloved un-fractured hand, "One: You stay being the annoying punk you are and get murdered. No one will know." She smirked wildly, "Gloves, boo yeah." She winked, still inches away, "Second! You stay quiet and pretend you're a water molecule and I think about not slashing you with my secret weapon." She finished, waving her nail-polish pen at him.

  • (Yay ^^
Oh yes XD Poor people from the future, won't know anything.
    OHMYGOD I LOVE YOUR CHARACTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!)

    Melody Nightingale

Unbelievable...he's happy with being called an alien... Melody thought, for a few seconds just mesperised by the thought.
After collecting her thoughts, she turned to him and placed he book in the pocked of her lab coat.
"I'm lost. " she stated with a slight sigh. "You seem like you know where you're going, and this is my first time here. I'm not even supposed to be here. But anyway, I'm gonna need your help to find someone...or at least one of the scientists." she added crossing her arms. It was one of the rare times she was asking someone for help, since most of the tme she thought servants were incompetent and that she could do better, but it was the first time she was asking for help from a complete stranger, especially one so...colorful.

    Ryan Evans

He just stared calmly at her troughout her threats, unfazed by the idea of being murdered, possibly in a brutal way by a girl he just met. Though at a second thought, anyone who met him possibly thought about murder once or twice in their life.
When she was finished, he blinked at her, keeping the serious face.
"Listen...can you paint my nails too? " he suddenly asked with a smile.
"I mean...if you plan on murdering me with a nail-polish pen, I could at least look fabulous in my last moments, right? And if you brought make up with you, it would be even better! Though I must warn you, warm colors just don't work on my face. They don't make my eyes sparkle." he said with a slight pout at the end, thinking of how horrible it would be if someone found him dead and he would look horrible.

(OMG!!! What if the 5th level of the building is some kind of a secret maze or something, and for the experiment they have to find their way trough it and to survive???)

  • (Sankoo! RYAN IS SO HILARIOUS. I died at that reaction.)

    Damaris Leopold

Damaris had no problem helping a lost lady, a pretty one that is. Whaaaat. I like appreciating beauty. He pondered over, "I must admit, this place is a freaking puzzle. I got lost thrice even when I knew where to go." He cleared his throat. Maybe he shouldn't have mentioned that. It only showed his own lost-mindedness.
"Will be a pleasure to help!" He said breezily, waving an arm at a side to make way. "Come along, lost-girl. If that's your name. Is that your name? I'll just call you that anyway. Nah. That's lame. What's your name? I'm Damaris." He finished, smiling softly.

    Veleda Aven

Veleda suppressed her amusement. Now that was new. She felt like laughing for a second. The sudden burst of anger had been washed away by the reaction of this person in front. Furthermore, she wanted to laugh at what was going to happen next. Her face grew into a wilder, almost malicious grin.
In a swift moment of a millisecond, she uncapped the pen and scribbled over his face. It took only a second to draw a blue fat mustache and sign Aven on his forehead. "That fabulous enough for ya, eh, punk?" She whispered and pulled back.
Naturally she couldn't hold it anymore. "My, my! Look at that!" She exclaimed loudly, "Aren't you a beaut!" Her eyes sparkled as a mischievous grin crossed her face.
She wished she had a camera. Painting random people was rare and an epic adventure. And this on had happened in a second. "My sweet , thou art fairest of all thing. Do fathom us with your beauty, you amazing creation."

(I was also thinking about that! Hmm, I was thinking about it more on the premises of the building's secrets. Like, illegal experiments and records. AND! What if the elevator takes them there and they mess something up or something and then the the next day the scientist investigate or something...And then they go through all kids one by one- and that's when the reality is revealed. The sooner the better!)

  • (Glad I made you smile XD Well...Ryan did :P )

    Melody Nightingale

Great. I've chosen an idiot as my guide. she sighed, mentally face palming.
"I'm Melody. Not lost-girl. " she replied, following him, regardless of the fact that she could end up being more lost than she orriginally was.
"So you're one of the....test subjects, right?" she asked, trying to disipate the uncomfortable silence, even though she wasn't really sure if the next thing he would say would be somethign normal or something...not normal.

    Ryan Evans

He stared at her, surprised though happy she was finally smiling. Even though it would probably cost him his dignity in front of any human being that he happened to see that day. He took on an offensed and hurt look.
"I know, my beautiful stranger, that I have no facial hair yet, and it pains me, but was a moustache really necessary?" he asked. "I'm hurt, I thought that out of all my flaws, this one would be the one you'd notice last!"
He grabbed the pen from her hand, and in just a milisecond, he had skillfully sketched a small moustache and a beard on her face, and then smirked, admiring his work.
"Now you're just as fabulous as I am! And that's hard, trust me."

(Yes! Great minds think alike XD)

  • (Lurve these two already. *o* I just want to jump in and shout, NOW MARRY!)

    Damaris Leopold

Test subjects... Well. Damaris didn't like the sound of it. It made him sound something, instead of someone. Apart from the fact that it was true and he actually was a part of the experiment he never considered himself being a thing. Well. That hurt. His eyes constricted for a while as he tried to shake away the thought. He took it to a new direction. He thought for a while what the world would be without his presence...nope. That was one horrifying thought. He would not let the world suffer.
He wore a serious look and started, "Nope. I'm a cyber robot invented to help this facility get a life. It seems very lame, don't you think?" He asked, tilting his head and talking in a mechanical voice. "So I go around making people happy. That's my sole mission!" He marched forth like a soldier. "It is my duty and and my responsibility! Moreover I can also pass for a very handsome worker which keeps people busy. You know, staring and all that." He smirked.
He turned a corner for the hall's entrance way. "This is the most boring place I've been to. No offense, if you're a scientist or whatever, but to me, it's all very stupid. " He muttered, " And I absolutely don't understand why you're wearing that lab-coat."

This time the reply wasn't a surprise. She grinned as he talked dramatically about having no facial hair but that only took a second to turn into a gasp. Her pen was snatched away and God knew what she looked like. She had been assaulted with an open fire. Her own weapon used against her. That was an absolutely unfair way of winning a war.
"You.did.not.just.go.there." She breathed, staring cold eyed at the pen in his hand. But she decided to let it go and not scratch his face. That would be brutal for the poor guy who merely wanted to talk.
She sniffed with an upturned nose, "I already was, punk. But you!" She said, eyeing him, "You have received victory by unfair means. I declare war for another time around. " She mused, gazing at his mustache. Was she looking like that too? Who cares? She didn't mind going around in public like that.
She snatched back the pen and smirked, "The fabulous pen's mine!" She snapped and stood up, revealing her actual height. She was wearing long black leggings and a sleeveless white top beneath the hoodie with her boots. And a long silver necklace slipped around her neck had a miniature guitar at the end. Her shirt read, 'I can only please one person a day. TODAY ISN'T YOUR DAY. Tomorrow doesn't look good either.'
She leaned against the wall and yawned, "Just so you know, the ink's irremovable on unbelievably irritating male species and might cause death."

    (Agreed!)

"you really have quite the imagination, don't you?" she asked with a slight sigh, though she had to admit that he was slightly handsome. JUST slightly, and it wasn't like she'd admit that anytime soon.
"I think I will stick to calling you alien. Robot just doesn't works for me." she added.
"Trust me, the last place I want to be in right now is this one. As for the lab coat, don't ask me. My father's a scientist here, and for some weird reason he decided to force me to come with him to work today. I got....distracted, and I lost him..... " she trailed off, not really wanting to state the reason for which she got distracted. Not like many people liked the fact that she was basically a nerd, but she was absolutely sure that not many people liked to be friends with someone like her.
And since for now she needed him, she figured she could at least try to be friendly in a way. In her own weird and unusual way.

    Ryan Evans

"No, everythin gis fair in love and war. And since this was a war....it was fair." he shrugged with a grin looking up at her.
"If so, then I should be safe. i'm not irritating." he added and also stood up, proudly discovering that he was taller than her. "Can I use it on some of the scientists here? They would be in danger of death..." he smiled, his imagination runing wild about how a simple nail-polish pen could kill people.
"Considering how we both look like, I think it would only be fair if we will continue the war on the first occasion we get. We can't let this be a tie. Speaking of which, and not that i mind the mustache, how are we gonna get this off of our faces?" he asked curiously, not really eager to have blue facial hair for the rest of his life, plus the signature on his forehead.

  • (So do I. Let's get the elevator going then.)

    Damaris Leopold

He mentally accepted himself being called an alien and felt quite vivacious about that. He was in fact an alien, but his mind roamed around the certain games he had played and well, had to admit, no alien looked slightly as glamorous as he did.
"Well, that explains the lab-coat. I was prepared to believe you had it stolen." He sighed, "Which isn't quite possible. You don't look like it." The girl did not look like anyone who'd be doing some pranks around. No wonder she was worried about getting lost. For him it was always an adventure.
Damaris nodded silently as he reached the halls. Now five of them opened upto different areas. He had no idea where the scientists could be, but they usually were...somewhere around here.
"Well, this is confusing." He looked at Melody with a frown, "You see...this is the central point. You know where your Dad could be? My alien senses says this is the right way," He pointed at the front way and looked back at her looking assured.

    Veleda Aven

"Oh, you're living in some oblivion aren't you?" She asked presumptuously and hoped she'd never meet some aloof like him again, or him only for that matter. The war wasn't a tie but she had no more weapons at the moment.
She considered the idea of murdering the scientists and was heartily delighted. "I'd love murdering them, not with the pen, I think something else would be a better choice," Her jaw clenched as she listed numerous ways of killing them. She liked thinking about that a lot and had done in the past. But right now, even the pen idea seemed interesting. "If I do so, which I will eventually, be at my side soldier." She announced. She imagined what fun it would be if they'd just randomly paint scientists.
She had the remover in her pocket and she had been playing with it the second she stood. The tower of a guy beside her probably wanted the amazing mustache off.
"Why so? You look beautiful." She winked with a brazen assurance, "My work payed off. And I'm sure yours isn't quite as good as mine." She smirked, absolutely proud of her creation, "And you see, sweetie, the removing thing is not very fond of human skin unless removed carefully exactly where the polish is. Toxic. So either you have a flawless mustache or a burned tattoo for the rest of your miserable life." She was amused at the idea. It was not plain truth but somehow a mixture of it. The remover had been a bad experiment she'd gone through in the past in her careless days. It didn't burn, but it wasn't very friendly as well.

  • (Oh God I just love Ryan and Veleda. They are just so funny XD )

    Melody Nightingale

"If I wanted to blend in, I would have stolen it. The pockets are quite useful, so I might actually keep this one. Never say never, and accept that everything is possible, my little alien." she answered, patting his head as if he were some sort of a cat.
Once she saw he was basically harmless, she thought sh ecould be herself around him, or at least a bit, having in sight that no one really liked her.
"Well, I don't really know where he could be. But on a second thought, if I knew, I would go in the opposite direction." she answered crossing her arms. She thought for a moment, and then decided her father could wait. Afterall, she wouldn't leave the building, so she figured he wouldn't be worried.
"Where were you going before I found your ID card?"

    Ryan Evans

"Maybe we won't kill them with the pen, but I'd sure like to see them with mustaches on their faces. So I shall be by your side. But you're gonna have to tell me your name. I told you mine, it's only fair that way." he smiled. Started out as enemies, might as well be parteners in crime right?
He was actually happy about it, as he never minded making a new friend. Sure, they were both weird, but was that supposed to matter?
"I know I'm beautiful, but blue is not exactly my favorite color. Plus, I have a feeling that your signature lies on my forehead, and that's not the nicest thing, is it?" he smirked. "I assure you you are extremely beautiful too, even though my drawing skills are not as good as yours."
After thinking for a few moments, he figured it couldn't be that bad. "I have fath in you that you won't remove my skin too. Just like I promise to only remove the nail polish from your face." he smiled.

  • (I knoooow. XD What would their ship be called? Releda, Vryan, Relle?)

    Damaris Leopold

Damaris blinked at having his hair rumpled. Habitually, he didn't take the act offensively and gave an actual pleased smile. "Ha! That's interesting now. I always expect the unexpected, glad I can do that with you too." He said casually.
He looked at his watch as she said the last phrase. 'Goddammit.' He whispered, haywire and turned around frantically. "I've gotta test to take!" He had wasted many minutes munching on snacks but the conversation had led him astray. Now he was more late than usual. Though he didn't mind, he always was anyway.
He looked back at Melody and spoke swiftly, "You're free then, aren't you? You can come with me and see how the things go. After all, you've got a lab coat and a name." He shrugged, scratching his neck, "Plus, I get bored. It'll be good to have some company around. I can show you around too. What say?" He asked, hopefully.

    Veleda Aven

No way in hell was she letting her remover in his hands. She spoke knowingly, "You're forgetting something, punk. I'm a girl and I happen to be magnificent as I'm a master of nail-polish applying and removing arts, thank you very much. " She finished with a slight bow. She could simply go back home and get a mirror to remove it. As for the rest of the time, she didn't care about it.
"I can remove it myself, huns. I don't mind looking like a walking circus for the time being, " She raised her eyebrow, slightly amused, "However, I don't think I'll be sharing my amazing qualities anytime soon. You''ll have to find someone else to do the job." She stated with an air of victory.
"As for my name," She begin dramatically low and pulled her hood to more closer. "I shall never reveal my identity." She whispered, "I prefer living name-less far away in the lone worlds of darkness at the brink of light and dawn where no one shall be able to go."

  • (All sound good XD)

    Melody Nightingale

She watched him panick in amusement, she never thought someone like him could care about being late. A small smile formed on her lips, and she was suddenly a little happy that she was dragged here against her will.
"Very well. I'll come with you. Besides, I always wondered what exactly is going on during these experiments..." she mused thoughtfully. But there was no time for that. "Now calm down and let's go. Stop freking out, it's gonna be fine. " she said, trying to calm him down. If needed, she could always say that she was the reason he was late, since he helped her.
She didn't quite knew how to deal with someone who was in panick, but hoped he would be fine.

    Ryan Evans

"Quite the poet, aren't you?" he replied, figuring that he'd find out her name anyway, thanks to the nosy scientists.
"I don't mind looking like a walking circus either. " he added, stuffing his hands in his pockets. He remembered that there might still be left some nail polish remover somewhere in his sister's room. He frowned slightly, for a second forgetting that he wasn't alone right now.
It was just slightly over a year since her death, and he had struggled to be the cheerful one, but not when he was alone.

(Sorry for the small post, I'm in a hurry.)

  • (Sheesh, you lazy person. Tis 'kay.)

    Damaris Leopold

"Come along then!" He said, leading the way to one of the corridor and finally to the elevators. He was glad his aloofness had made someone smile after all. He entered his I.D card in the slot and opened wide his eye for the laser to scan it.
"YES. I EXIST. THANK YOU STUBBORN PIECE OF METAL." He replied as the green identification appeared and the elevators doors opened. He slid inside and waved for Melody to come in before the doors detect that she didn't have any identification.

    Veleda Aven

She pretended to be impressed, "That's nice. Because that's the first thing that happens once you're spotted with me."
The announcement around wasn't clear but she was sure she hadn't heard it before. The elevator finally reached the destination and the doors opened. She didn't bother to look back and stepped outside, immediately getting back. Her face showed utter shock, "Wrong floor," she hissed, looking at Ryan.
After reading the readings inside, it was clear they were somewhere they weren't supposed to be. The fifth floor. The bottom most floor nobody knew about. They shouldn't be here. They had been inside the elevator for far too long. An alarm rang inside her as her adrenaline took a rush. She swept away a bang of hair and came up with a challenging smile, "Up for an adventure, punk?" She said and jumped outside.

  • (I'm not lazy. Was forced to go shopping. )

    Melody Nightingale

She followed him and slid in the elevator just seconds before the doors closed. She smirked, content with her performance, having in sight that most of her days were spent in her room, so she never got too much physical activity.
"See, thanks to me you learned something very useful. You exist." she said with a small grin. Hearing him shout 'I EXIST' just seconds earlier happened to be very amusing.
"And now we wait?" she asked, crossing her arms and leaning against the wall.

    Ryan Evans

"Trust me, being seen with me isn't a walk in the park either." he answered, and then paid attention to the announcement, but raised an eyebrow as the doors opened, realising they weren't where they were supposed to be.
He grinned slightly when he saw the expression of shock on her face, but frowned.
"If you could stop calling me punk....." he mumbled, stuffing his hands in his pockets and casually walking outside of the elevator, stopping next to her.
Thsi was wrong, and possibly dangerous, and he couldn't deny that somewhere inside him, a small voice screamed to get out of there as soon as possible, but that tiny voice was long forgotten over the years, so he ignored it.
"We're so gonna get killed for this..." he sighed with a smile. "Let's go then!"

  • (Oh, that's torturous. x.x I pity you. P.S What's the fifth floor like? I am just inserting random stuff here. :p )

    Damaris Leopold

He chuckled at the response. Surely his own reaction was quite amusing for her. He crossed his arms and punched in the number 3. He didn't wanted a regular check-up at the second floor and wished he'd get away soon this time.
"And now we wait," He repeated. "So! What's the book about?" He chirped, not very fond of silence.

    Veleda Aven

She ignored him for a second and squinted her eyes to take in her surroundings. Unlike the other floors, this one had a lot of space. The area was massive and grey. And a lot of ginormous doors, not to forget with many security locks. She marched towards one and examined. They all had detectors with lasers, or simply codes or touch pads to give fingerprints, or a screen for a distinct feature. Each one was different and she was craving to know what secrets lied behind those bars.
"Oh, we are totally getting busted..." She muttered, lost in the controls with a slight gleam in her eyes. She looked up at the ceiling with spirals, giving her a headache. Well, the architecture was certainly impressing. She looked at Ryan before he could do something and pulled him at a side, "Don't look at the detectors. It'll probably send alarms." She guessed, letting him go and moving his head towards one screen with her hand. "See?"
Her mind roamed over with certain ideas to open the locks. "Now we just need a way to prove that we are a bunch of oldies. Any ideas, genius?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.
