Wildlife yawned, heading up a small hill. The trees had thinned out slightly and so he was left on the grassy hilltop. He flopped onto his back and stared up at the night sky.

She came to a stop by Wildlife when he dropped to the ground and followed his gaze up to the sky, wordlessly.

Wildlife looked at her as she flopped besides him. He smiled and reached over to give her a lick on the ear.

Her fur suddenly bristled and her claws dug into the earth.
"I hate what ThunderClan has become. There's no reason to go on living anymore. Nothing is happening that is interesting, and our leader has turned crazy enough to tell us she descended from the moon and tells us to worship it."

Wildlife sighed and wrapped both of his huge paws around her and pressed his nose against her forehead. "Believe me, I know."

The former deputy, out of all of them would understand. She edged closer to his furry body. "H-how did it feel to be demoted from deputy?" It was a shock to Skydreamer, it was probably something big to Wildlife from being stripped of such a high position in the Clan.

Wildlife blinked and looked down. "I-It was the second worst news I could ever hear. When she announced my demotion, it felt like a bunch of boulders were dropped on top of me and the ground dipped before me. I felt unneeded. But... I wasn't the only one demoted." He sighed. "What did it feel like for you?"

"It was a shock. I felt surprised and upset that I couldn't have proved more to her. I was feeling pretty shaky and feeling like I was about to explode or melt to nothing." Shutting her eyes, Skydreamer reopened them with a look of sheer determination.
"But I'll prove them all wrong. I'll prove myself again that I'm worthy to be a high position. I'll prove it to them a million times if I must."

"Yeah." Wildlife smiled. She would do it. Sky of all animals would prove herself. They would do it together. "Just... don't leave or anything like most do when they get demoted. My heart couldn't bear it to be without you." He said.

"Oh, I can't wait to see Miss Skydreamer with gray fur and walking like a turtle." Wildlife laughed quietly in amusement. Ah yes. Hopefully she wouldn't die before he did, or he didn't die before she did.

Skydreamer joked right back, feeling more happy and content now. Cats lived for about 15 years. She still had a while to go.

Wildlife's eyes widened at her news and a huge smile formed on his lips. "Yes! Yes! Oh my gosh." Wildlife covered Skydreamer's face in licks. What would Ursa's reaction be to having siblings? Hopefully he wouldn't get all depressed like a lot of kids did. Wildlife loved all his children equally. Then he pressed himself against her. "I love you." He murmured.
