ooc;; It is the first day of school term in Academy, and it's morning. The date (month), is February so it's winter.

    . Marcus Claudius Marcellus . Atmokinesis . Level 4

Marcus waved goodbye as his mother mouthed a 'love you' through the tinted window of the limousine. It was all a show, the sarcastic smile and dramatic wave of his hand. He couldn't care less if his mother loved him. The second the black car disappeared into the fog - which he had created - he dumped his suitcase on the gravel ground and rubbed the backs of his hands on his eyes. He was tired. Tired of it all. Tired of the constant lie he felt he was constantly in orbiting around in this space suit his parents put him in. He pulled a hand through his brown hair and turned his gaze to the front of the Academy. Back again...

    . Laylani LeMaire . Brontokinesis . Level 3

Lani had caught a bus and walked most of the way. She loved to walk. There was something pleasing in its simplicity. It gave her time to think. Time to think about what kind of crap she'd have to go through this year. Her kinetic ability was typically known for being the least controllable and she was typically known within the Academy for being 'defiant' as Headmistress Valevach had stated. It hadn't taken her long to get to the front gates and the second she got there, she felt like turning around and going back home. She didn't know anyone here, her best friend left two years ago, there was nothing familiar nor 'home-like' about this place. She wanted to go home.
Lani blew out softly, vapor curling from her lips like white flames. It was cold. She pulled her denim jacket closer around her narrow bust.

  • Asyline yawned as she stepped out of the pure white Mercedes, she looked around and saw the many people of this school. She gulped as she placed her hands on the car, which was fortunately fire proof. Her black hair flew in the wind.

Another teenager stepped out but this time, it's a boy. His semi long blonde hair was in a style that is very messy as he stood next to Asyline. "Another school year. Huh sis?" He said as he pulled his sister's hand inside the black school.

They would've been mistaken for normal teenagers.

But if you look closely, every time the girl steps on the floor, burnt marks would appear and the shadows seemed to have followed Alijah.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0pt; width: 350px;]nope. it's the first day of the Academy and everyone's settling in :)

    [/fancypost]

  • ((Okay thanks))

Alex walked through the doors of the school. Her left arm had green plant roots twisted around it like poison ivy on a tree. She looked around to try and find her way to the girl dorms.

IC:Leaving my mother to go to a school was a hard thing to do. One of the hardest things ever. How would my mom care for herself? She was alone without me and the woman can't even make toast without burning it. I am the one who keeps everything orderly in the home... maybe I shouldn't come here. Maybe I should stay in our quaint little home with my frail little mother. I turned my gaze towards her and watched as tears dripped down her cheeks. "Honey, you need to go here. So don't worry about me I have George." My mother spoke softly. Oh yes! I had almost forgotten about her husky, well, boyfriend. He was actually quite good at caring for my mother so I quess she was fine. "I love you mommy." I whispered in her ear, grabbing my bags and watching my dear mother climb into her little car and slowly drive off. I let out a sigh and made my way into the school, sadly.

I could see two people already inside. A male and a female. The female was quite pretty, her hair was long and blond and her features were quite ye-catching. But the male on the other hand. I was surprised I didn't fall to my knees, begging him to marry me. His features were breathtaking and his hair... I could just imagine running my fingers through it as I kissed those beautiful lips... He was quite muscular and even more fantasies popped into my head before I finally snapped out of it. I rolled my bags behind me as I walked towards him. I opened my mouth, as if to speak but no words would come out. "h-" Was all I could manage.

My eyes stayed towards the ground while I waltzed up to the academy. I had my lips pursed and my jaw clenched, like a shy little girl would when moving to a new school. But I wasn't...I was returning to this school for yet another strange-yet-awing year. Carefully, I put my hair into a messy bun so that it wasn't too sloppy, yet not too perfected. But then again, I'm far from perfect.

I waved a boring good-bye to my father, scurried up to the school, and sighed, standing lazily in front of it. Familiar faces were around, but so were unfamiliar ones, ranging all the way from older folk to younger. And the teachers, of course.

It was almost like in a blink of an eye, the bitter wind turned sweet around me and I felt relieved to be back. I loved it here, and I always would. Something about it was comforting. Maybe I'm just crazy, but the wind, although a tad chilly, was practically caressing me. Must be my slight thing for windiness and birds.

    [ sloppy start, apologies. ]

    . Marcus Claudius Marcellus . Atmokinesis . Level 4

Marcus' hands clenched together, knuckles bleaching. He would have to drag himself through yet another year at this place. Most loved it here, but to him, it was only a reminder of the freak that he was. His parents had always praised him for his abilities. In his family they were a gift. To him, a person with the ability to control the weather, wasn't a person at all.

There was a storm brewing, hurricane Marcus...

He could feel the tingling sensation in his fingers, like the electricity in the air when a storm seeped into the sky, it was that exact feeling he got whenever he knew he was going to loose control. He could feel it zigg-zagging up his arms. Just as he could feel it enter his heart a voice sounded behind him, the notes reaching the sensitive hairs in his ears. He slowly turned, the feeling disappearing. He let his eyes languidly travel over the girl's frame. Sure she was pretty but, that was it... No emotion passed his stone cold face.
He cocked his head slightly, raising and eyebrow.
"Do you have food stuck in your throat." He asked, tone threaded with sarcasm. She was starring, he hated it when people starred.
If she thought he was a nice guy, then his looks had fooled yet another.

    . Laylani LeMaire . Brontokinesis . Level 3

Lani stepped through the main gates, she could feel her hair curling at the thought of a new year. She always felt this way whenever she first stepped into the Academy. It was that feeling of freedom, to be able to finally do as she wished and no one would run for the hills screaming because a girl was blasting lightning bolts at their faces...
She'd always prized herself in her abilities. And here, here she could actually use them. Her mother had told her to make some friends this year. That would be highly unlikely.
People didn't usually get along with her...

  • Asyline sighed as she walked past the gates and her eyes widened, "You're actually chocking on your food?" She said with a raised eyebrow. She placed her back at the wall and it had little burnt marks.

    . Marcus Claudius Marcellus . Atmokinesis . Level 4

Marcus turned slightly to see yet another new comer. Was being alone to much to ask? Obviously luck was not on his side today. A sigh rumbled from deep within his chest.
"You're burning out kid. Should really learn how to control that." He nodded at the burn marks she left behind. "Don't think the Headmistress is to keen on scorch marks all over the Academy."
His voice didn't falter nor his expression change, it was a constant mask of boredom written onto his features.

IC:When he asked me that rude question I put my hand on my hips. "If you think your actually going to talk to me like that, you need to stick a brain in that head of yours and learn how to treat a lady!" I scolded him, grabbing my bag and storming off towards the girls dorms. The dorms were lined up in a hallway. I looked down at my key and opened the dorm I was assigned to. Nobody was inside from what I could see so I closed and locked the door behind me. I began unpacking my belongings, running fingers through my hair every so often.

My body began to ache from not shifting for so long. I stood on my two feet and quickly ran out of my dorm and back to the lobby. My body slowly and painfully began to morph and in about thirty seconds my human body was replaced with a four legged tigeress. I stalked towards Marcus gave him a glare of death with my dark eyes and moved on to the girl who arrived at the same time as him. I think her name was Lani. I sat licked my large paw and looked up at her.

I could hear someone shouting, and I immediately figured it was some girl getting pissed off. Boy, was I right, I guess! Almost monotonously, I spoke up to them. "Fighting on the first day back, huh?" I arched an eyebrow to the familiar faces.

I turned when I heard a familiar little chirping. It was that of a sparrow, of all, that seemed to always follow me. But of course she would, I practically controlled her. Although, she did have her own freedom. I raised a hand up when I spotted her whizzing down to me, a smile crossing my face. She landed elegantly, hooking her talons around my wrist. "I'm sure the school will not allow her," I muttered more to myself than anyone else, though they could definitely hear it.

  • Alex finally found the girls dorm but entered the common room instead. She searched for the dorm to the actual dorms and found the door to the second dorm. The level 1 female walked up to the door and tried to control her powers so she didn't make plants grow around the door. Alex took a deep breath and opened the dorm door. No plants grew around it but the roots around her arm grew a bit thicker from her fear.

    . Marcus Claudius Marcellus . Atmokinesis . Level 4

Marcus didn't look at the new girl, he believed her name to be 'Lizah' or something like that. "I'm not fighting with anyone. I was simply asking a question." He watched Kristen leave. My god were girls so vapid. He knew that was how 'Kristen' would react. He could everyone on of them like a book. The day he found a woman actually worth talking to who didn't flounce off because of something he said, he would actually recite poetry to her (which is something he would never do; even if his head caught on fire). Now he turned to look at Lizah, a bird perched on her wrist.
"But I do believe I have somewhere to be so if you will excuse me." He made a sarcastic bow in her general direction, picked up his suitcase and left.
    [/fancypost]

  • Asyline blinked as she sighed before getting her luggage too and walked to her dorm that she shares with a lot more girls. She sighed and carried her luggage to her bed and laid down.

Alijah smirked as he stood beside Lizah, "I think they'll not but it's good to be rebellious in a while."

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 450px; text-align: center; font-family: times new roman; color: black; font-size: 8pt]

I didn't want pay much attention to Marcus, but I couldn't help but listen to each word humorously. I scoffed playfully, rolled my eyes, and spoke briefly. "Well, you caused a tantrum, anyways." I shrugged, almost cockily.

I clicked my tongue at the young swallow, who tilted her head and stretched her wings comfortably. I smiled cheekily at the blue-white bird. Marcus made me just about jump outta my skin when he spoke again. His chilling tone knocked me from my daydreaming. "Such a gentleman to have to be excused," I said with goofy sass. I chuckled as he waltzed off.

Turning to the other boy who spoke up, Alijah, I smiled in agreement. "Good damn point! No one's good without a tad of rebellion." I laughed.
